Excellent location. Lovely staff, they were so friendly and helpful. The building is lovely and decorated nicely. For how close to Covent Garden it was I was surprised at how little noise there was on an evening. Really great that they let us store our bags on arrival and departure so that we could explore the city.

As a word of warning there is no elevator which we knew upon booking. Just something to be aware of if you require one. I must add that reception did kindly offer to help with our bags had we needed it.

The hotel is in a fantastic location for the Covent Garden area and Leister Sq tube not far away. Loads of bars etc local to the place as well as the whole of the West end. The building is slightly quirky and room layouts different but this attracted us rather than repelled. Bed was comfortable and room very clean. Never any issues with hot water and room spacious and on 2 levels. Staff were really friendly and welcoming and stored bag once checked out. The stairs are steep and narrow. It didn't concern us and not a dislike but there isn't a lift so if stairs are an issue for you I'd think about it. However as a note the staff were very forthcoming in offering to take baggage up to the room and bring them down without being asked. They were lovely chaps... Happily stay here again....

I have nothing but praise for the cleanliness of the rooms, superb service, and empathy shown during our stay. When I arrived the gentleman took our bags as we arrived early, when we came back to check in he placed our suitcase in our room. When we entered the room it was spotlessly clean. Myself & my 19 year old daughter travelled from Devon for one night. We love London & enjoy every moment when we visit. The following morning my daughter took a turn for the worst, she felt very unwell to the point an ambulance had to be called. I went down to reception explaining the situation to the same gentleman who greeted us on first day we arrived, he called an ambulance straightaway & could not do anymore for us, the maintenance man also volunteered to stand outside the room incase I need him to help. The ambulance arrived within 10 minutes of calling them. It turned out my daughter suffered a panic attack which was a scary experience. By this point we passed our checkout time. Although our room was reserved the gentleman at reception showed nothing but a kind & caring attitude, he told us we can stay for as long as we want, my daughters welfare came first, he offered a free night & could not do anymore to help us. I was worried & stressed out after everything we went through but the top service received from this gem of a hotel was tremendous! I refuse to believe any negative feedback from the Fielding Hotel. Thank you for all your help, we will continue to choose the Fielding hotel whenever we visit London in the foreseeable future. Thank you again. Best wishes Sam 😊

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING

Amazing location - five minute walk to the Lycium Theatre and Covent Garden with loads of entertainment and amazing food. Lovely little apartment, exactly what we wanted and more, kitchenette, living room with a dining table, bathroom, and bedroom - super easy to do beans on toast for the kids in the morning! Really comfortable beds. AC also given so we weren’t uncomfortably hot. Friendly staff looked after our bags after we had checked out until 5pm. Beautiful building too, clean exterior, and quiet too - no noise from the pubs or restaurants at all.

Some damage to the bath and kitchen sink, didn’t affect use but took away a little from the appearance. Bath has a shower and tap, the lever to switch between them didn’t work unless you were holding it manually the whole time, so had to fill the bath with the shower head. Again, only a tiny little niggle, nothing major or that affected the stay overall.

Staff were excellent. Contact prior to visiting days was excellent. At hotel really friendly and nothing too much trouble . We could t have asked for a better location. I did do my homework but it was better than expected.

Having a refreshment facility even if via reception request would have been nice ( even though coffee and tea in the room. It did look a tad tired in places but it was an innercity hotel. One thing that I did find questionable was I requested a downstairs room due to mobility issues and the bathroom was on a lower level with 3 stairs to get to it. OK it was manageable but worthy of note. If I had been less mobile it could have been an issue

The location was superb. Very close to a lot of attractions and shops which made them accessible on foot. The staff were nice enough that despite having no lift and our room being on the 2nd dloor, they held our luggage free of charge and found it in our room when we checked in. Also when checking out, we were told to leave luggage in the room and we found it downstairs in the lugagge room when we returned for collection at the end of the day. We had water and coffee refills everyday which was amazing. The hotel also had the door locked around midnight which was appreciated too and felt safer

The room could do with some refurbishing touch ups and maybe cleaner AC filters but other than that everything was superb

Beautiful property and location, perfect for Covent Garden and tucked away in a quiet,cosy location. Our room,no 42, was exceptional, so comfortable and a bath for even more luxury. Our stay,which was to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary,was made even more special by the concierge, the wonderful Sarj on reception. He was extremely welcoming, so refreshing in this day and age, warm, friendly,nothing was too much trouble, professionalism personified. He is the heart of The Fielding!! Keep up the good work, we can't wait to return 🥰

Absolutely nothing to dislike!!

The location is unrivalled. Close to Covent Garden Tube Station, a few strides from The Royal Opera House and Covent Garden’s pubs, restaurants and street scene. Our room was perfectly adequate with everything we needed. It’s not flash, slick or pretentious it’s a decent room with a good bathroom in the best location. Oh, and despite being close to everything it was blissfully quiet, I didn’t hear a sound all night. I didn’t ask about breakfast as I assume they don’t offer it. There are plenty of places nearby for that.

There’s little to moan about without being uber picky.

We had a great time staying in this hotel. We stayed in “Flat 1”, which is a ground floor one bedroom apartment with a kitchen, dining, and two sleep couches in the living area. There are plenty of towels, bedding, and some tea/coffee in the well-equipped kitchen with a water boiler. Equipment we didn’t use: washer/dryer, ironing board, stove, oven, toaster, dish washer and microwave. The location is a dream, in a fairly quiet pedestrian side street opposite the Royal Opera House. Staff was very accommodating and helpful. For those sensitive to noise, the bedroom window faces the street (no cars etc., but some walking and loud talking). It didn’t stop me from sleeping quite well though. The wooden floors do creak a bit, so one can hear when people walk around upstairs. Also, perhaps not ideal for sharing this with apartment with non-family, the shower is a part of the main bedroom, with a separate toilet and sink in the hall.

Location very good. Most staff friendly.

Having checked out and been kindly allowed to leave my bags in storage until 8pm that evening, I was equally kindly permitted by the very nice female receptionist to sit in the small reception area for a couple of hours quietly working on my laptop. A male manager (?) came in at one stage and commented to the receptionist along the lines of "Has he taken up residence? We have rooms available to book you know." I explained I had stored my bags and been granted permission to sit there. It was a cringeworthy and insulting comment that embarrassed me (and was intended to do so). A hitherto nice experience (with otherwise impeccable front desk staff) seriously undermined by one crass individual.
