Hotel location is amazing, on a small side street in Seven Dials and convenient to theater district, Covent Garden area, lots of restaurants, and several tube stops (we found Tottenham Court the best for our sightseeing excursions). We stayed for a week and were happy we chose this location. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Although a basic hotel (I'd call it a Pension more than an hotel), it did good on what we wanted: room was clean, beds were comfy, shower was hot, staff was helpful. We booked a basement (no windows) triple room; the first room we got did not match the online pictures and was very small and not great for three adults. Mid-way through our 5-day stay we got moved to the room across the hall that WAS the one in the photos and was a good bit bigger and more comfortable. Our room rating would be higher if we had that the whole time. We did not miss having windows, as we were only in the room mostly to sleep and I'm sure the basement location made it much quieter than it would have been if we were "aboveground" and subject to street noise. Wifi was fine in the basement, with a separate WiFi channel and router available just for the basement. We also were able to get cell signal in the basement with no issues. Several options for breakfast in the area; we ate at nearby "Franx" several times and highly recommend it for friendly service and a good English breakfast is a basic small cafe with a few tables in the back. McDonald's is also nearby for a cheaper, on-the-go breakfast en route to the Tube stop. For an eclectic dinner option check out Seven Dials Market food court a block or two away; a very happening scene there with multiple options. And in 5 minutes or so you can be in Covent Garden with all its food options (Dishoom was really good). The happily stored our luggage before and after check-in.
Triple room we got at first did not match the online Booking.com photos. It was much smaller; we got moved halfway through to the larger room in the photos and that was fine. No common areas in the hotel. Would be convenient to have breakfast offered, but there are reasonably priced food options within 1-3 minutes walk from the hotel (Franx recommended). The former breakfast room in the basement area was always messy when we walked through, with drying laundry, someone's coat and shoes, etc. Since this area is not used for breakfast it could be made available for guest use as a common area.

Location is ideal for shows and sight seeing lots to see on the doorstep. It is on the fringes of so many interesting places to visit. Staff were lovely and great value for money. Clean, tv, kettle, fridge, private shower and toilet in the family room so what more can you ask for at this price point. Its compact and bijou a great base. We walked from Victoria Coach Station and it took about 45 mins past Buckingham Palace dont make the mistake of following Sat Nav through The Green Park and along the busy main streets fighting through the crowds with a backpack on is not a pleasant experience, your better off leisurely walking up the Mall, Trafalgar Square and working your way that way plus a bit of sight seeing on way, a slight tangent will take you to Covent Garden too. It was a quick walk to the london Dungeons from the Hotel and the river trips and London Eye. Dont book on the day it will cost you so much more. If you cant get wifi from your floor which we couldnt try the floor above or below its the same code and voila wifi is enabled 😁 Just to be aware there are several floors and stairs are steep but I am almost certain I seen a lift, but didnt use it. Just for honesty sake it can be a bit noisy at times, early mornings and late at night when other residents are leaving or coming back but thats down to some folk not having self awareness on how loud they are and not the hotels fault. I Would definitely book to stay here again, hope to do so in 2025.
The only minor issue we had was having to switch the fridge off at night due to there being an audible humming noise coming from it.

Most things. We weren't paying much, and it's in the centre of London - so I was a bit worried. But it was better than I expected.
Was a bit worried by the arrangement for plugs and electrical items.

Great value for money, clean. I had single bed room (number 1) in basement. After reading some of the reviews which said it was a bit stuffy (no window) and cramped, I did not find that at all. I thought it was fine space wise. The bed was larger than I expected. Bathroom was small but not too cramped and very clean. Overall highly recommend. The location is superb. As solo woman traveller felt very safe in the area where the hotel is situated. I will be using this hotel again.
No complaints. Struggling to find something I didn't like. The only thing was lack of phone signal in the basement where my room was. The WiFi was ok though. It was a very minor inconvenience to have to go up a floor in the hotel to make a phone call.

Best location. Walking distance to theatres and surrounding restaurants, cafes and tourist hop on and off buses. It took 10 minutes walk to Aldwych theatre to see Tina Turner musical and other landmarks, like Trafalgar square. Tesco express supermarket is a 5 minute walk. Staff were pleasant and provided assistance as required. l would certainly stay at Seven Dials Hotel again.
There wasn't much not to like. Note room is very small and has no windows which l was aware of before l booked , but as a solo traveller it was not a problem for me as it was just for sleep and shower.

a hidden gem in top location, a few minutes away from the Royal Opera house and walking distance to either the National Gallery or the British Museum. Tube station and many bus lines nearby. This is a budget hotel, but they do have a small elevator (not big enough for wheelchairs, but helpful with luggage) and rooms have ensuite bathrooms. Neither is a given in budget hotels in central London. Our room also had a kettle and a small fridge. Also the reception was extremely friendly and helpful, and there is someone at the desk at all times, which can help as well. We hope to be back.
nothing really. It's a no-frills hotel, but well taken care of. No breakfast served but we didn't need it, and there are plenty of cafes and snack places just outside.

Location is perfect. it is connected to just about everything. I walked from Euston Road and found it a comfortable 30 minutes with google maps (despite a bad sense of direction). I ran out of data on my way back but no bother I easily hopped onto the tube. Very good. Very pleased they are keeping the prices low.
The room was a bit tight. It has two beds (which is great for a family). But I don't think that this qualifies as a bad thing that 'I didn't like.' It is more a thing that did not suit my needs and ultimately found too much.

Staff very pleasant natured and relaxed. Also, staff very obliging in offering me a second pillow when I requested one. Furthermore, on both occasions I have visited I have been very grateful that I could leave the majority of my personal possessions behind the desk for collection later (and beyond check-out time) on my last day. This has been extremely helpful when wanting to make the most of my last day before returning home to Devon.
The lighting went off towards the end of a shower I was taking in the bathroom. This left me fumbling around to try and turn the shower off but fortunately the blackout was fairly short lived. I am allergic to cows milk so some alternative to the whole milk cartons with the tea and coffee making facility would be good. I drink goats milk at home or oat milk when in cafés.

It is in a convenient location where I and my friend can easily walk to theatre shows, shopping and great variety of food. The 24hr desk was helpful and convenient, really helped us out when our key couldn’t unlock the front door. The room was a reasonable size with a double bed and single bed, along with a desk, a small fridge, a closet, shower room ensuite and a ceiling fan (significantly helped us during the heat wave.) There were plenty of clean towels, replaced everyday along with room service, and the beds were comfortable and firm. The staff were helpful and friendly. The sound proof, sliding glass windows provided cover from the insects invading our room; great addition to the old original windows. It was tidy and clean, worn in places but nothing to complain about.
Clear signs of DIY are needed to be done in our room, Room 7. One of the windows had a handle missing and couldn’t open, which would’ve helped us getting more fresh air into the room if it was functional. The floor needs to be patched up due to significant damage, posing as a potential risk to splinters/injury to exposed feet. The shower needs to have the drain levelled with the floor, the lowered hole like drain currently poses risk for tripping/injury to feet. One of the sockets, next to the fridge has something stuck in its socket preventing us to use it - we had rotate between using the fridge and switching it out to charge our electronics. The stairwell should have a more sturdy, supportive barrister as there were times I almost tripped down the narrow staircase.
