Fabulous location. Friendly staff. Comfortable, spotlessly clean beds and rooms. Excellent value for the location. Other hotels in this area were triple the price.

The only downside is the decor is a bit dated . Having said that everything is spotless so it doesn’t really matter. At the end of the day we were there to explore London not to be stuck in some posh hotel viewing the decor.

This was our second time staying in the Seven Dials Hotel and it won't be the last. The location is perfect for our annual theatre trips. For example, this year two of our theatres were a 5 minute walk away and the 3rd was a 9 min walk. The district has a lively vibe with lots of restaurants to choose from. There is also a lovely bakery / cafe next door. The Covent Garden tube is a 5 min walk and we enjoyed wandering around this area too. Our room was spacious this year and had everything we needed (with the exception of AC - but we knew this before arrival)

London was 30 degrees when we stayed this year. A ceiling fan and table fan were provided but weren't as effective as Ac would have been. If you could consider putting in Ac, I feel it would be a great addition.

Perfect location. Short walk to British Museum & National Gallery (15 minutes). We booked afternoon tea at the Ritz and Savoy ( convenient 15 minutes walk from the Hotel). Royal opera house 10 minutes away. The tube is 5-10 minutes walk. Theater district 5 minutes away. Taxi ride to Waterloo station 15 minutes in moderate traffic. We had fans in the room, were able to open a window. Temperature was perfect outside. Opened windows and a fan made stay comfortable. Not sure how air conditioning works during hot months.

Room is not fancy. The location and price is what makes it attractive.

The location is really good, the reception staff are friendly. The room is comfortable, but small, but we chose the place specifically for the location. Every day the room was cleaned. It was quiet during our stay.

We didn't have enough space for clothes, even though there were a few hangers. It was a bit inconvenient that the door had to be opened with a key, not a key card. And the door closed loudly, we were afraid of disturbing the neighbors. The light in the bathroom automatically turned off if you didn't move for 5 minutes, which was also not very convenient.

It's a simple but clean room. Very tiny bathroom but that's expected for a budget hotel in the city center. If your priority is location and budget, and you don't plan to spend much time in the room, this is a great choice. There is some street noise, but it quiets down nicely by midnight. There are so many cafes, restaurants, museums and theaters nearby that you'll never see them all!

things can always be better budget hotels, but the only real annoyance was the shower head had very little pressure making the micro-shower extra challenging.

The location is truly excellent. We were going to the Shaftesbury Theatre. It was literally across the road. We spent the day shopping in Covent Garden and ate at Seven Dials market and Neal's Yard. It's on the doorstep. It's a bargain for that area. We could leave our bags safely as we arrived too early to check in. The staff were lovely and helpful. The room was spotless. The beds were comfortable. It's quite nice to find an old school hotel.

Two things. We had a triple room and there was very little toilet paper. An almost finished roll was all that was available. The other point was the bathroom sink was incredibly low. It's absolutely fine to use but super low to wash your face in. Hardly things to really worry about.

The receptionist happened to be from my home country and was very friendly towards me! She gave me an even better- & bigger room, with a private bathroom for the same price. I was very pleasantly surprised. The room was tidy, cosy, it had everything I needed.

The door was a bit hard to close because there was no handle on the outside - only a lock. So I had to use my nails to pull the door to enough, in order to be able to push the key in and lock it. They should put a handle on the outside.

Hotel location is amazing, on a small side street in Seven Dials and convenient to theater district, Covent Garden area, lots of restaurants, and several tube stops (we found Tottenham Court the best for our sightseeing excursions). We stayed for a week and were happy we chose this location. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Although a basic hotel (I'd call it a Pension more than an hotel), it did good on what we wanted: room was clean, beds were comfy, shower was hot, staff was helpful. We booked a basement (no windows) triple room; the first room we got did not match the online pictures and was very small and not great for three adults. Mid-way through our 5-day stay we got moved to the room across the hall that WAS the one in the photos and was a good bit bigger and more comfortable. Our room rating would be higher if we had that the whole time. We did not miss having windows, as we were only in the room mostly to sleep and I'm sure the basement location made it much quieter than it would have been if we were "aboveground" and subject to street noise. Wifi was fine in the basement, with a separate WiFi channel and router available just for the basement. We also were able to get cell signal in the basement with no issues. Several options for breakfast in the area; we ate at nearby "Franx" several times and highly recommend it for friendly service and a good English breakfast is a basic small cafe with a few tables in the back. McDonald's is also nearby for a cheaper, on-the-go breakfast en route to the Tube stop. For an eclectic dinner option check out Seven Dials Market food court a block or two away; a very happening scene there with multiple options. And in 5 minutes or so you can be in Covent Garden with all its food options (Dishoom was really good). The happily stored our luggage before and after check-in.

Triple room we got at first did not match the online Booking.com photos. It was much smaller; we got moved halfway through to the larger room in the photos and that was fine. No common areas in the hotel. Would be convenient to have breakfast offered, but there are reasonably priced food options within 1-3 minutes walk from the hotel (Franx recommended). The former breakfast room in the basement area was always messy when we walked through, with drying laundry, someone's coat and shoes, etc. Since this area is not used for breakfast it could be made available for guest use as a common area.

Location is ideal for shows and sight seeing lots to see on the doorstep. It is on the fringes of so many interesting places to visit. Staff were lovely and great value for money. Clean, tv, kettle, fridge, private shower and toilet in the family room so what more can you ask for at this price point. Its compact and bijou a great base. We walked from Victoria Coach Station and it took about 45 mins past Buckingham Palace dont make the mistake of following Sat Nav through The Green Park and along the busy main streets fighting through the crowds with a backpack on is not a pleasant experience, your better off leisurely walking up the Mall, Trafalgar Square and working your way that way plus a bit of sight seeing on way, a slight tangent will take you to Covent Garden too. It was a quick walk to the london Dungeons from the Hotel and the river trips and London Eye. Dont book on the day it will cost you so much more. If you cant get wifi from your floor which we couldnt try the floor above or below its the same code and voila wifi is enabled 😁 Just to be aware there are several floors and stairs are steep but I am almost certain I seen a lift, but didnt use it. Just for honesty sake it can be a bit noisy at times, early mornings and late at night when other residents are leaving or coming back but thats down to some folk not having self awareness on how loud they are and not the hotels fault. I Would definitely book to stay here again, hope to do so in 2025.

The only minor issue we had was having to switch the fridge off at night due to there being an audible humming noise coming from it.
