Nice big room for family of 4. The service is really good. The staff provided a quick and helpful response for all our needs.

During our first night we received a room with a bathtub with very high sides. Entering the bathtub, especially for children and older people, was very dangerous. After complaining, we got a new room with walk in bath. Additionally, our breakfast was included and it is a very nice breakfast, but the service is very slow. It takes around 1 hour every morning. And last thing, At check-out, the bill included a hotel service charge for each night as well as for breakfast service. Only when I asked about, it was explained to me that this was a voluntary charge. I would have expected the hotel to ask my permission in advance for such an attempted charge.

The Rosewood is ‘grand’ in the sense it is an imposing property with some fine public spaces. If it truly is a ‘grande dame’ of hotel properties the ‘dame’ is question is tired and in serious need of a good re-vamp and rejuvenation. The rooms (and especially the bathrooms) need a re-think and a lot of investment before the promise can match the delivery.

Our room was tired and in need of a serious amount of work to bring it up to ‘five star standard’.

The Rosewood was situated in a great location close to Covent Garden. We had a family room which provided ample space for 4 people. It was serviced daily and the standard of service is what you would expect of a 5 star hotel. We had breakfast included in the Holborn Dining room which was excellent. Service from Tiffany, Tudor and Milana were stand outs. Overall the staff were very helpful and attentive.

The first room we were allocated had a shower over a bath which was too high to climb into. Photos on website did not reflect this. We asked to change rooms to a standing shower.

We traveled as a party of 6 and every time we interacted with the staff, they couldn't have been any nicer. Especially with the way our government is treating the world! (Disgusting) All of the UK and London especially treated us like the friends we will always be. Bravo Rosewood and everyone there and the whole country too!

I judge everything by the people first and last. Nice, friendly people make everything else icing on the cake. Thanks for getting us rooms together. It's a huge help when traveling with a two year-old.

The staff is so professional and very welcoming and eager to help at anyway. They are fast and applying care for me and my kids. For example: I asked for a barber near me and the concierge walked with me to the barber outside the hotel and introduced me to the barber!

Breakfast in the morning, staff was a bit harsh and need to improve their spirit. Their work is great but they seem to be not enjoying what they do.

From the moment we arrived at the front of the hotel, the staff were amazing. They treated all of us, including my young children in a friendly and professional manner. The lady on reception even paid attention to some of our plans and arranged for some cupcakes to be in our room when we returned from a show, themed to the show we viewed! Breakfast choices were fantastic and again served by a friendly, professional team and in one of the beautifully designed dining rooms. Overall a fantastic 10/10.

Excellent location for sights, for walking, or for talking the tube. Incredibly attentive and thoughtful housekeeping - when we came back to our room we found a few little surprises that show real attention to detail - they left two small teddy bears for our children, put a bookmark in my book, left a small cloth for wiping the screen of our iPad among other things. Also reception staff (particularly Regina) made us feel at home. Super comfortable bed too!

At some point we asked the concierge to cancel a dinner reservation we had made, and they pointed out the cancellation policy without even trying to speak to them as it would “jeopardize their relationship”. We called the restaurant ourselves and canceled without any issues.

A splendid hotel, with all the charm of a grand establishment. The location is excellent, just far enough from the hustle and bustle but within walking distance of the main attractions. The building is impressive, with a delightful inner courtyard. Three excellent on-site restaurants complete the offering. Exceptional attention to detail, as a five-star hotel should provide. The entire staff was courteous, friendly, and attentive in seeking to offer solutions.

Actually, nothing to complain about

Stunning architecture, great location, well-appointed very comfortable accommodation, outstanding house-keeping with attention to detail, the food offerings were superb (Holborn dining room and Art afternoon tea).

Concierge service was absolutely useless (took 20-min to bring our luggage down from the room at checkout and no apology forthcoming from rude concierge staff). Addition of 5% service charge per night to the already high accommodation rate with no explanation, justification or request - sorry, but this is completely unacceptable.

The ambience of this hotel is calm and sophisticated. The lighting, decor, artefacts and flower displays provide interest and comfort. Staff are professional and efficient and they show an interest in every client. The use of individual names is consistently applied and is welcomed. The rooms are spacious and beautifully appointed with art work which enhances the space, and lends a great mix of the traditional and contemporary. Service is both proactive and responsive and means we didn’t want to leave.

Pillows are fluffy and luxurious but we really benefitted from requesting a memory foam neck pillow - maybe these could be highlighted as available.
