The hotel has lots of character. The common areas were beautifully and eclectically decorated. Our room was very spacious. Good shower with instant hot water - rare for a room on the top floor of a hotel in an ancient building! Our room overlooked a busy pedestrian street but was completely quiet with the window closed.

Wifi dropped in and out, often not working for many hours and when it did work it was often slow. Not a problem for us but be aware the rooms are up an old staircase (no lift). Our room on the top floor was 72 steps up!

Nothing I hope that the proprietors leave everything exactly the way it is, in my humble opinion in a world that can be full of places that are generic and soulless the genuine character and integrity of this wonderful place to stay is so wonderfully refreshing !.

It is not modern, but it has character! It functions properly, clean.and the location is excellent.

We had the top floor and there are a lot of floors, we are in our sixties and it did not bother us, but obviously this could be a problem for others.

The decor throughout. We had the economy room with the shared bathroom but it was pretty; plumbago and mandevilla were growing in profusion at the “French” windows. Charming dining room full of antiques and pictures. The little salon for guests. Excellent location.

The WIFI in the little salon was not the safe kind.

The owner couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful. We kept our bikes safely inside. We enjoyed the whole ambience. The location was perfect - right in the centre of the city.

Charming hotel with quaint decor. Beautiful old building. Easy to find, flawless check in. Clean. Our room had a lovely window overlooking the street. Close to river, cathedral, market and cafes.

Sound travels between rooms as one would expect in an old building. Stairs may be challenging for people with big luggage or poor mobility.

Great position close to the old centre and the cathedral. Not a modern hotel by any means, but full of character. The owner has a generous display of antiques in the breakfast room.

Apart from a continental breakfast, no food is served, but there are plenty of restaurants in the area. No lift. Evacuation from this old building in the event of a fire would be a challenge. Internal lighting very dim. Difficult to contact the owner/manager at times.

We loved the location and the charm of the old building. It gave us a taste of Parisien living.

Not a problem for us, in fact we enjoyed it, but 3 stories of stairs might be a profit older guests.

Well, it's a charming building in the old city center, so no elevator. In case you are, like me, carrying a lot of luggage and arriving too late for asking someone to give you an hand, better asking for a room at the first floor...
