The house and grounds were spotlessly clean and beautiful. Staff were friendly and helpful. It was lovely to relax by the pool which was a perfect temperature. Small touches, such as the cake on arrival and free water, were appreciated.

The room we were in was a bit dark and the balcony seemed a bit 'tired ( one plank has been replaced already and one of our chair legs went through part of another.). It was lovely having the private outdoor space but it could be made to feel more inviting ( and high spec to match the exterior and reception areas of the house). A fridge in the room and/or more lunch choices at the hotel bar would have been good for days you just want to relax by the pool and not walk to Bayonne for lunch/snacks ( the walk is doable but 15-20 mins each way).

The proprietess oversees the breakfast room. She makes you feel welcome and ensures you get what you want. The rooms are spacious, the overall atmosphere of the hotel is like that of a large house, which it probably was - and a very nice house indeed!

The Villa Renaissance is located about 34 of a mile (?) uphill from the town center. If you're driving, it's a great location. If you come in by taxi, you need to plan to walk in and out for sightseeing and dinner. There's no restaurant in the hotel's immediate neighborhood, just a basic tabac. There is also a limited menu on the patio.

We really enjoyed our stay. First impressions were good as it is an attractive building set with a good sized car park, gardens and, of course, the pool. After travelling, it was lovely to enjoy the swimming pool which was a great temperature. The hostess provided us with extra towels. Our room was on the top floor with a dormer window giving a view across Bayonne. The room was nicely laid out with quality furniture and had black out shutter style blinds, air conditioning and a Lavazza coffee machine and a kettle. The hotel was about a twenty minute walk (or 5 minute drive) from the centre of Bayonne which we found to be beautiful. We enjoyed dinner in a restaurant by the river. In the morning, breakfast was served downstairs. The breakfast buffet was extensive and high quality. Overall very impressive.

The hotel is exceedingly well appointed with tasteful furnishings and ample sized rooms with very comfortable beds. Breakfasts are homemade and abundant with high quality breads, egg dishes, local cheese and meats, variety of confitures, wide selection of fruits. The staff are exceedingly friendly and well versed in a variety of languages.

Boutique hotel, 15 mins walk from Little Bayonne. stylish and comfortable, lovely Pool and terrace. Excellent and friendly staff. Bayonne is full of character and great for food and shops. Biarritz beach a short bus ride away on the T1. Overall a lovely place with lovely people.

We were on the top floor and there was no elevator. I have a bad knee but was able to manage. There were no restaurants in easy walking distance

Excellent breakfast and really good helpful staff. Overall the hotel was very well appointed and extremely comfortable. We spent several days there after cycling from St Malo and we were made very welcome and nothing was too much trouble.

It is a shame that the hotel is some way out of Bayonne and, while it is walkable to the city centre and the excellent restaurants on the river side, there is a steep climb back to the hotel.

Loved the hotel as soon as we entered.Quentin was superhelpful and friendly. and so were the owners. Infact we are travelling soon to Bayonne soon and are looking forward to stay there again. Keep up the good work.

A lovely place to stay if you are exploring the area. Room was spotless and very comfortable tea & coffee provided, also a bottle of water. Nice views. Very friendly staff.

There isn't a restaurant or a bar. Which, when you've been driving since day break, is disappointing. Nothing close by either. We obviously didn't read correctly that there are no facilities here. Breakfast is continental also offered scrambled eggs/bacon. There is secure parking, no charge. Yes we recommend IF you're wanting to explore, but not for a stopover unless you've eaten first!!

The location to the city, the rooms were beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. And great parking for our car. All staff were very helpful and friendly.
