Excellent location for exploring Bayonne. Great continental breakfast included in the price. Good shower and comfortable bed. Friendly host. Walking distance up a slight hill from the train station. Good value for money and perfect for our 2 day stay.

The stairs are steep and narrow, and so this is something to be aware of, as this might not suit some travelers. There is no ac, but there is a fan. It was pretty hot when we stayed and the fan was much appreciated. These things are clear in the details, so not a complaint, just pointing them out for others.

The guest house couldn't be better situated for exploring Bayonne on foot! It is right in the centre just a minute away from the main streets, and a few minutes from the River Nive and the bars and restaurants along its banks. Our room (2B) was spacious, very light and decorated in an uncluttered, modern way. There was a microwave oven and a kettle in the cupboard. The bed was very comfortable, which was a huge plus. The taps and shower are on a movement-detecting sensor, and also the light in the toilet (separate from the bathroom). A good breakfast was served every morning by the host - a whole French stick, with butter, jam, yogurt, and tea or coffee, and also cereal for the kids.

The light in the toilet kept turning off after 10 seconds or so. I intended to mention it to the host, but forgot. The staircase from the 1st floor to the 2nd floor would be better with another safety rail.

The hotel is located in the historical center, you have a studio and a nice breakfast is included at the ground floor. The self-check in is very effective and comfortable. The room is as described and big, despite the cold weather (0 degrees) it was warm and cozy.

Shampoo/Conditioner could be a plus. Despite the announcement say there is a parking there is not, you can park on the street or at the municipality parking as kindly suggested by the owner.

Nice room in a great quiet location and central for all the shops, sights, bars and restaurants. The breakfast was amazing and a complete surprise. The breakfast proved a very sociable place and easy to talk to fellow guests.

On arrival the fridge was not working and the safe deposit box (an important room facility for me) was locked. Although upset that the room was not perfect when I arrived - the owner Norbert - came round that afternoon and fixed everything. You can always judge a place by how the owner reacts when things are not right so well done Norbert.

We stayed one night during our bike trip and we slept well. There is no storage area for bikes but the main road where the windows faced was safe to lock the bikes overnight.

The extreme optimization of the light sensors, they switch of while you are in the toilet if you dont move around :D

The location was great and it was very quiet. It was easy to get in and our room was very clean. The innkeeper was very accommodating and had our breakfast ready a half hour early. The price was good.

It would have been nice to have shampoo in the shower. And the towels were a little thin. But we made do in both cases.

It was fun to stay in an old building, exquisitely remodeled, within the old city. We had no problems with the stairs, even though we are both in our seventies, and I broke my kneecap 4 months ago. It helps to be active and travel light. This place is delightful, and within walking distance to wonderful restaurants.

Nothing related to the stay, although the overnight parking lot near by would not accept our U.S. credit card. We solved that by paying the car behind us cash to use their credit card.

The location of the hotel was great - very calm, central, next to the city parking (although difficult to find spaces). We got two rooms apartment instead of one, probably due to availability since we booked last minute. Nice, simple continental breakfast with fresh delicious bread. Everything was working well

The cleanliness of the place could be improved.

The hosts are very friendly and helpful. The room had enough space and it was very comfortable with a park outside the window. It is not often that I get the experience of staying in a traditional building, so it was a wonderful time.

If I need to say something, in case you plan to have a meal in the room, please note that while there is a microwave available, there is no cutlery. You will need to bring your own cutlery to use.

Great location. Friendly staff. Lots of space in the rooms. Great local advice (eg on parking, things to do, …).

Automatic lights are a hassle. Breakfast is good, can be great with more salty options (cheese, ham, eggs, …).
