This hotel is an excellent choice for anyone who values a prime location in Cannes. It's situated right next to the train station, just a few steps from the Port and the famous Palais des Festivals. While the rooms are compact, they are well-equipped and offer everything you need for a comfortable stay. The clean and well-maintained bathroom is also a definite plus. Breakfast is simple, yet tasty. However, remember to not leave food unattended on outdoor tables, as the seagulls are incredibly bold and will quickly snatch it!

While we were generally satisfied with our stay, we must highlight a few significant drawbacks. Access to the hotel and parking are major issues. Due to the hotel's location, reaching the main entrance is very difficult, and the lack of parking spaces forces guests to stop on the road and unload luggage with hazard lights on. Unfortunately, the nearest multi-story car park is two or three blocks away, which is quite inconvenient. Additionally, the soundproofing of the hotel rooms leaves much to be desired – we could unfortunately hear loud conversations and even arguments from guests on the floor above.

The hotel's location is almost perfect and it was easy to arrive with train and lots of baggage. The staff was wonderfully friendly and lovely and the view from the room great. The breakfast was tasty and I enjoyed my stay a lot.

The shower was a tiny tiny box, almost impossible to even turn around and in the bathroom it smelled a little bit like sewers.

Location of hotel is great, also the best air con as it was needed in the evening and it was working, despite it was close to busy street room was very quiet (5th floor) Close distance to beach and to train station just outside of hotel many restaurants and bars. Great views from breakfast tarace. Best safe ever easy and intuitive.

The only small thing would be that our room we’re not very big and small wardrobe would be a help. No normal cups only paper one for morning coffee would be essential, and small minus that there was no balcony in room.

The hotel is just next to the Cannes train station.We stayed one night in a triple room. The room was facing the train station, however we did not have issues with the noise, the windows isolation was good. room was good size for 3 of us, bathroom was bigger then expected with everything what we needed.We did not take the breakfast - it was a standard continental breakfast with eggs/jogurts/croissants and coffee/tea. The terrace for the breakfast on the 6th floor is indeed very nice. The guys on reception were very helpful and friendly. We were worried by check-in cutoff time 22:00 - but in reality there were people coming to checkin after 22:00 and there was no problem at all. In the morning we could also leave our luggage for the day with no charge - that's super convenient. big thanks for that to L'Esterel staff! Tres grand merci a personnel de l'Esterel!

Nothing, all was very good for a very reasonable price!

The location was perfect. Travelling by train and a concert at the Palais des Festivals, this hotel was ideal for one night and my budget. The staff were friendly, professional and helpful. The rooftop (see photo of view from terrace)breakfast room and terrace were a lovely start to a summer riviera day.

The room was small and dark. Being on the first floor meant there was a lot of noise from the street late at night and first thing. As we were only staying one night these points didn’t really bother us, had we been staying longer it could have been bothersome.

The staff were exceptional. Amazing location (right opposite a bakery and the main train station). The beach is a 5-10 minute walk away and the room was very clean. We also managed to get a direct bus from across the road to Nice Airport for €20 each - probably not the cheapest way to do it but very convenient for a morning flight.

The shower is extremely small…I’m 5”2 and my partner is 6”2 and we both found it too compact.

Had to air the room several times, it seemed a bit hot in comparison with the outer premises. Didn't catch the interface of the a/c at first glance (it was a little noisy at night)

I loved the location across the street from the train station. Yes, it was a bit noisy, but it was great to have transportation right there so worth the payoff for me. I also loved the morning breakfast on the rooftop. It’s not a fancy hotel at all, but that fits who I am. Heck, we got room cleaning daily which was a bonus as most place we stayed that was not a perk. The staff is also very nice.

The room is small. And, the little coffee service tray is not refilled, so once you drink your one cup of tea that is it! Oh well. Also, it doesn’t have a small fridge, nor a good place to put 2 suitcases (even the small ones.)

Location was great. Just opposite Cannes station. Sound proofing was good as it was very quiet considering I was opposite the station! Air conditioning worked fine. Delighted to find that a kettle and cups were supplied, together with a couple of sachets of herbal tea. Breakfast was very good value at 8 euros (June 2025) and situated on the roof terrasse. Fabulous view of the old town! There was a lift! They kindly kept my case for a few hours in a secure room.

Had to squeeze round the bed to get into the bathroom.

i always balance my comments on the price paid verus the service received so, if yuo are looking for a 5 star hotel, pay 5 star prices. This hotel is fabulously located, immediately opposite the train station, in the middle of an area full of bars and restaurants and, 400m from the beach and the main square. Staff when checking in are very polite and helpfull, the rooms are clean and comfortable and, there is a great roof terrace with panoramic views for breakfast (which is only EUR 8 for a very good continental buffet). Only 2 things to note, the rooms are very basic and it's a shame the roof terrace isnt open for evening drinks but, to my first point, for what you pay, this is amazing value and I would highly recommend>
