This is a very stylish hotel and a perfect choice for an overnight stay near La Rochelle if you are traveling by car. We were grateful to be assigned a room on the ground floor with direct access to the back yard, a very beautiful garden. I say this because by coincidence there was a partial lunar eclipse the night we spent at the hotel. So we were able to observe it from a privileged position... at 4:00 in the morning ! I wouldn't know what to say about the staff: a very nice and polite guy at the reception and a girl who was on the acceptable limit of bad manners when my wife returned the key to reception when leaving. The only negative note, however, was that and therefore I think that when we pass through La Rochelle again en route, it will surely be our first choice again.

Rooms were excellent size with small fridge and great shower. Pool was inside but excellent, sauna was great. Check-in was perfect, lots of easy access parking and a very nice welcome. Grounds outside were nice. Location outside of La Rochelle was great value for money. Exceptionally peaceful and comfortable beds

Patio furniture had a lot of cobwebs and insects. There was a bar, but it wasn't open as a bar. Breakfast was good, but for €14pp not great value for money.

Room very clean, good size and all that we needed. Plentiful towels and comfortable bed. Mini fridge, tea and coffee in room all good. Pool and spa was good. Peaceful location. Restaurant pleasant. Simple menu, good quality. Easy to get to airport and centre of town.

Breakfast was expensive for what it was. Same Bowl of fruit salad for 2 days which wasn't refreshed. Same with the yoghurts., same selection each day and not replenished. No croissants! Top step on the pool ladder was missing so getting in and out of the pool was a challenge. No sign alerting you to this either which was alarming. Sauna and steam room very good.

The room was huge! Plenty of space with a fridge and a safe. The bed was comfortable and the shower was good. It was nice to have a bath robe and slippers supplied but we didn't make use of the pool or the spa. We had dinner at the hotel - the set menu - which was tasty and good value for money. The grounds looked nice and what we saw of the chateau was impressive. It was good to read about its history. Lots of parking outside.

Fantastic hotel! We had a very warm welcome from the nice lady at the front desk. The rooms were beautiful. We had 3 rooms on the first floor. The bathrooms were big. It was super clean. We slept excellently: the beds were extremely comfortable and even though our rooms were very close to the restaurant, we did not hear any noise! We did go to the swimming pool (inside) and to the sauna. All facilities were good. It was also very convenient to have the parking in front of the hotel. Beautiful hotel!

Nothing really!

From the moment we arrived- we were welcomed by the receptionist with a smile and she was very helpful. Unfortunately, I can’t remember her name… the room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable! I highly recommend the hotel and will definitely be back if I get to La Rochelle again! Beautiful town but we didn’t get to spend enough time there!

That I didn’t have my bathing suit to enjoy the serene pool and sauna! 😟 There was nothing not to like about the hotel!!

3rd visit to this lovely hotel, some rooms feel very luxurious, breakfast is great value for money with lots of choice. We love the pool area and the local area of La Rochelle. Lady who seems to run everything is lovely and very welcoming

Felt the room was not as nice as the last visit. Reception opening times do not work if you’ve been travelling and just want to relax, you have to wait until 4pm- will request early check in next time?

The room and bathroom were very clean and spacious with a good kettle and fridge set-up. The pool/sauna area was warm and clean. Easy parking and 5 mins drive to La Rochelle.

The deluxe twin room had a view of the car park which was mis-leading as the photos are all of garden views so we were disappointed. The steam room was broken which we would have liked to use.

We booked this hotel on the recommendation of friends and we were not disappointed. The room was generous in size and facilities, the indoor pool and sauna was a real surprise and bonus and the evening meal was excellent.

The staff were good and very helpful, when they were around! On several occasions we couldn’t find anyone and had to hang around until somebody made an appearance. When they did, all was absolutely fine!

Nice to stay in a hotel with a bit of character! There is a faded elegance about the place but it still offered a sense of something a bit different. We chose this place to avoid the noisy and busy tourist spot of La Rochelle, wanting somewhere quiet after a long drive, and we weren't disappointed. The suite was spacious, very clean and comfortable, with a pleasant garden view on the ground floor. Also good to have a full restaurant with a pleasing but very reasonably priced menu. The restaurant staff member was excellent. The heated indoor pool was a bonus! Easy parking. For a one night stopover it ticked all the boxes.
