Located a 10 minute walk from the station along the canal pedestrian/cycle path. The ambiance in the hotel with a large lounge, tables, bar, TV and games areas was excellent for families and singles alike. This leads to a wrap-around terrace and the swimming pool. My room was clean & comfortable with 2 chairs and a desk area with tea tray. The bed linen was especially soft & light. The street and train noise was minimal despite the room facing it. In room air conditioning and ventilation & fresh air in the lounge.

Cleanliness in the common areas (lounge and toilets) was lacking with so many families in summer. (But it was cleaned well during off peak times.). The pool opening at 9 or 10 am. I had been hoping to swim earlier (or late evening) in order to avoid crowded conditions.

Great location - 10 minute walk into town. Good public area on the ground floor to have a drink and relax.

The lighting in the room was awful. There were essentially two option: on full blast, or off. There was no option of low level lighting to read at at night before going to sleep. Also the hotel hadn't managed to arrange a deal with the multi storey car park, next door. It's one euro per hour. We stayed for three days, so would have had a bill for 72 euros for parking. So we managed to find a space on a road for free. The hotel needs to do a deal with the car park.

The lobby area is very nice and comfortable to hang out in. The rooms are quite small but very nice and suited our needs. The fold down bed was surprisingly solid, I expected it to be like a camp bed, but it was extremely comfortable. The breakfast buffet was very good with plenty of choice.

Not really a negative: The hotel has a bar which does some snacks. We were stuck in the hotel with our child for a while due to very heavy rain, and would have appreciated a proper restaurant or even a few more food options on site. This certainly is not a deal breaker.

Really cosy and comfortable hotel just outside the main town, 5 minute walk and you're at the bay. Bed was really comfy, air con was incredible, room was spacious, and the toilet was separate to the open plan shower/sink area, really well thought out. Swimming pool was plenty big enough and the bar/food area was clean and modern, just an all round very enjoyable experience, especially for the price! I would 100% recommend this hotel and we will definitely be using it again.

Fantastic bed, lovely neat, clean rooms. Quiet and peaceful stay. Enjoyed the breakfast well enough. Good location within the city, and bar closed at reasonable hours. The staff were lovely and accomodating.

Enjoyed the breakfast well enough, but could have had more choice in the savoury food selection and especially for vegans. Pool was quite cold, even for 21 degree weather. Thats all.

The hotel was clean, lots of activities for my kids aged 3 and 6 in the lobby. The pool was closed but I'm sure when this is open it would be even better. The staff were polite and breakfast was good. The staff were kind and let us use the microwave to heat up food.

It would be nice to have a kettle in the room. It was a 10 minute walk to the centre but that was alright.

Fabulous hotel close to the center beautiful pool and lovely relaxing open area for families to play games or enjoy a pizza or drink .

The family rooms are too cramped and no storage could only recommend for a night or two at the most ..we stayed 5 nights and it was impossible to get in and out of the beds and nowhere to put anything and a very small bathroom for 4 people..had to leave the room once I got up as no space to move around with 4 people and all our bags ,cases etc

The communal areas were very chilled and spacious and extremely kid firendly with loads of games, a pool table and baby foot for free use for guests. Situated a 10minute walk from town we were very happy. All staff very friendly and we were able to avail of a discount for the multistory parking beside.

Our kids didnt like that dogs were welcome 🙈 I understand this is a plus for alot of people instead of a negative.

Great location. Funky designs -which we loved Bar menu was a bit basic but ok Rooms were quiet body wash was lovely towels were on the small side (which was ok however they were also a little thin). We would definitely use this hotel again. The location was great the electric car chargers in the public car park next door were also fab Staff super professional

Fabulous staff, very knowledgeable people and very helpful. The hotel is within walking distance of the centre of La Rochelle.

Could have done with a fridge in the room and a tea coffee making machine wasn’t available
