The hotel is only a 5 minute walk from Blue Beach and Promenade des Anglais, and about a 15 minute walk to the Old Town, a 15 minute walk to the train, and a 7 minute walk to the tram. There are tons of restaurants right on the same street as the hotel, as well as cafes and ice cream shops. There’s shopping right in the area also. The staff is wonderful, including Galina, her sister, and Jean Louie. They’re all very helpful and nice. The room was modern, and clean, with good air conditioning, a small balcony ( I understand that there are different sizes), a small fridge, and my bed was very comfortable. A very nice continental breakfast is available for a small fee. I would definitely stay here again! It’s also a very safe area.

The location, one block from the beach, in the middle of everything, is truly exceptional. My hotel window looked out until the beautiful Niçois architecture, and people strolling the pedestrian area. The hotel actually begins on the 4th floor of the building, which I've never experienced before. You do have to be ok with the extremely narrow elevator to the 4th floor, but as long as you are ok with that, you almost feel like a local in a little hideaway. The rooms have a simple elegance are well air conditioned. Hotel Solara is really a gem and I had a wonderful time exploring beaches and city. The hotel staff were extremely polite, friendly, and attentive.

I found the pillows on the bed to be very firm--too firm! Also, the toilet ran a bit--the flush mechanism just needs to be better attached.

The hotel starts on the fourth floor of an apartment building in a lovely pedestrian area close to the Promenade des Anglais and the beach. It doesn’t seem like much from the outside, but once you get to the lobby, it’s luxurious! My room was decorated nicely and even though the window didn’t face the beach, I still had a nice view of colorful buildings with a glimpse of the mountains in the distance. The man working the front desk was very friendly and showed me lots of great places to visit on a map. I would definitely stay here again!

Perfect location — just two streets from the sea and right next to Place Massena and all the shops. Lovely restaurants and a boulangerie nearby. Amazing balcony with a nice local view. Very friendly and helpful staff, they even accommodated our earlier check in. Clean room, and it even has a fridge to chill your breakfast Prosecco:)

The room might be a bit too small for a longer stay, but the location and the balcony make up for it. The hotel has only one iron shared among approximately four rooms, so you’ll need to request it. The shower is very small and doesn’t include body lotion, shampoo, or body wash. We were given four single-use shampoo & body wash testers for a two-night stay, so you may want to bring your own toiletries. Also, the building has a tiny elevator that fits either two people or one person with luggage. The hotel is located on the fourth floor, so be prepared to get some steps in.

Everything! Friendly & professional welcoming staff. Hotel is within secure residential block . Loved our corner terrace Room 11 for both fresh air & watching Nice life from above was a highlight. Restuarants & cafes right on your doorstep. Excellent air con made for a comfortable stay. Location perfect approx 10min from train station & very easy walk into all areas of Nice . Very cosy lift available - 1 person 1 Bag but worked well. Stairs used when no luggage in tow. Highly recommend booking this hotel.

overall the space was in a good location and easy to come home to from visiting places. Bathroom shower was definitely good and the staff was super nice. They told me conveniently that when checking in after 8pm, they will give us code to pick up room key. So we wouldn't be left outside but you must let them know earlier than 24 hours. The lift was working and I was happy Solara had one since the rooms are 4th or 5th floor. I forgot, so many floors.

The closet was too small and more chairs would help to put my luggage. The open balcony can't fit a table for us to have coffee outside which is not in Solara's control.

Everything- especially the location! The building is old and very charming. The rooms are well equipped with a refrigerator and air conditioning - so welcome in the Nice hot summer. We have stayed here a few times over the years . The standard of cleanliness is excellent. The staff are so helpful. What more could you want?!

Nothing! Don’t expect very quiet surroundings as there are restaurants within the building and lots of music and sounds of people having fun.

-Wifi had ups and downs -Very thin walls and no soundproofing, you can hear everything from the other rooms and the hallway (this is to be expected in older buildings)

Lovely, clean boutique hotel in a great central location within close walking distance of the beach, restaurants, shops and tram stops. My room didn't have a terrace, but I loved having a table & chair in the room to sit and have a coffee/breakfast. My third trip to Nice, but definitely the best place I've stayed in and I would return.

I loved everything about my stay - just a minor point that the wi-fi was a little intermittent - but it didn't impact the enjoyment of my stay at Hotel Solara.

We absolutely loved Hotel Solara! The location is perfect, so close to the beach and many great restaurants. The room was very clean and comfortable and we loved the little balcony. However the best thing about Hotel Solara is the staff. They are so friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Especially Barbara. She gave us so many great recommendations and tips, and we were also able to check in early. We wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else in Nice!
