The room was actually a small studio flat with kitchenette, shower room, single bed, and private front door opening onto an outside terrace. It was very safe as the reception room was by the front gate and it had a code key for exit and entry. The location is near the Metro and Pere Lachaise cemetery. Very easy to get around by the Metro. There are several bistros in the area and a couple of shops for basics.

My towels were never changed even though I was there for three nights and the rubbish accumulated in my room. But it was Easter weekend, so that may be the reason. I did hang a sign on the door for room service, but I think it blew over in the wind.

Our room, though small, was bright, modern, and well-appointed. One could easily minimize travel expenses by utilizing the kitchenette. Temperatures were hot during our stay, but we slept comfortably with the fan that was provided. Staff members were friendly and quick to help, whether storing our bags prior to check-in or assisting with the in-room safe. The room was surprisingly quiet overnight, despite it's location near the road and entry gate.

Minimal signage meant it was difficult to see the location of the hotel as we approached. The property is accessed through a locked gate facing the road, and it wasn't immediately apparent how to get the attention of a staff member to gain entry, short of calling out a greeting.

The room was just perfect with ensuite bathroom and kitchenette which has everything you need. It all looked quite new and modern, even better than the photos on here. Comfy beds. It's clean and quiet too. Staff is kind and friendly. The hotel is reasonably near the city centre, about half an hour in all considering you will have to change metro at some point but they run every couple of minutes or so. Nearest metro station is within 5 minutes walking distance from the hotel (Menilmontant). Plenty of good restaurants, cafés, and supermarkets nearby and a food market on the main street. I would choose it again should I return to Paris!

Very good accommodation to visit Paris as a tourist. There are metro / bus stations close to it, as well as shops and restaurants. The place is situated in a closed yard that additionally was very nice and gave additional feel of security for a single traveler. The apartment was equipped with basics, but I did not expect more then what was provided. It was clean and ok for a short stay. The bathroom was a bit on a tight and not suitable for large person - but likely I am not a that one :-). The receptionist Rosa was extremely nice, very welcoming and made you feel at ease. I will return to this place on my next visit to Paris.

The bathroom was a bit on a tight and not suitable for large person. But this is single apartment and I have seen that other apartments had much better bathroom.

Everything was a delight and in excellent order The situation was charming and accessible set, as in a 'mews' arrangement..The room had all that we needed; a bed , a small kitchen & shower room. The reception staff were so welcoming and kind; we would certainly like to stay there again, in fact we will.

Hotel d'Horloge provides self-contained studios that were ideal for our week in Paris. It is positioned between two nearby metro stations that provided easy access to the city or further afield. It is on the fringe of the tourist area but is surrounded by cafes and restaurants with good food to meet all budgets. The studios are tight but well equipped with hot plates and all facilities. Beds are comfortable and rooms are warm. If you are our age (70s) go for the ground floor. The layout is marvellously quirky with studios on the ground and first floor facing each other in an open narrow cobblestoned courtyard. It is built from a 18th Century fire station with stables downstairs and quarters on the first floor. Security provided by enormous wrought iron gates monitored from the office. The staff are its strength, nothing is too much trouble. If you are staying a week in Paris and are happy to travel to Printemps by metro without having to change, this is the place.

It's exactly as it says on the tin.

Friendly, welcoming staff. The room was very clean, with a comfortable bed (unfortunately hardly slept in). It was nice to have a fridge to chill the complimentary water, and a coffee maker for the morning. The fan was also a plus as the temperature was above 30 degrees. The phonebox shower was OK.

The hotel layout seemed designed for student living. People wandered about the courtyard and corridors talking loudly till after midnight. Earplugs had no effect.

Close to the metro and the restaurants. Very nice cleaning lady. Even if the room is pretty small, you have a little kitchenette, fridge, microwave sink, and a mini stove. You have everything that you need if you want to cook something. Very secure place. Breakfast optional $.

The walls are made from some plastic type material. In the room (winter time), it was very humid. There was a bit of mold under the bed in a corner from all that humidity.

I loved the fact that English is almost never heard in this neighborhood. I used my rusty French. I love doing that! It is a small apartment with a useful kitchen. It's as if you live in Paris. Easy to walk in & from & very close Metro stations

There is no common area outside to sit. No A/C but the fan works well The area is a bit seedy but not unsafe.

Very quiet place but lot's of restaurants and supermarkets nearby, and of course the famous Père Lachaise Cemetery. Also good to reach, not even a 5-min walk to two different Metro stations (Ménilmontant - Line 2, Rue Saint-Maur - Line 3) . The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The room was quite small but this is to be expected in a city like Paris. For our taste the mattress was too soft. But these are minor details, overall we were satisfied.
