This was a wonderful hotel in a scenic location in the beautiful old city. Unlike some other French hotels I have stayed at, the hotel had great air conditioning (Mitsubishi electric system) and also the shower stall was well made and the water did not leak out into the bathroom, also equipped with a modern elevator, so no trouble with luggage going up to your room. The rooms were clean, quiet, and comfortable, and the staff very pleasant and efficient. Strassburg is a great city! It was a wonderful and fruitful stay, thank you very much!

I enjoyed my stay here very much. The location exceeded my expectations — tucked into a quiet street just one minute from the river, it offered both peaceful nights and easy access to beautiful riverside walks. The room was charming, with a lovely window and very comfortable beds. The staffs were exceptional: I requested a higher floor, and they kindly let me choose the one I preferred. One staff member Soheil is also a musician, shared fantastic recommendations for classical and jazz music and provided great local tips to explore the city! Great conversation made my stay even better! 10/10 would choose to stay here again!

Hôtel De L’Ill is in an extremely good location for exploring the historical area of Strasbourg. The beautiful cathedral is just across a bridge and Petite France is in walking distance. The hotel was comfortable and they served an ample breakfast. Like most hotels in its price range, the rooms were small but adequate. The room had a very nice shower. It was especially nice to walk in the hotel’s neighborhood at night to view the illuminated cathedral, listen to street musicians, and walk the promenade along the river. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay at the Hotel De L’Ill again.

The hotel is comfortable and clean, the staff is friendly and the breakfast is very nice. The location, very central is the greatest asset. It's very close to the centre and to very beautiful spots along the water, at the same time it's very quiet (the only "disturbing" noise were the birds in the morning!) I also received an upgrade for my room when I arrived, which was unexpected and is always a pleasant surprise.

If you are travelling for work, and also intend to work from the room, the desk and chairs are not exactly comfortable or meant for it. If you need the room mostly to relax and sleep - it's perfect!

We liked the location close to city center and restaurants, the kind staff, the free offered coffee anytime, the refurbished room and the comfortable mattress. Also we could enter the room before official check in time.

The bathroom had a window facing the external corridor. We were visible from the outdoors through the glass of the window because it was not blurred enough. We didn't like the fact that Nutella jar and some other jars near the coffee machine were left open for all over the day. If you come late for breakfast there is nothing left to eat. Food is not replenished.

Clean and cozy, great location to walk along the quai to the Cathedral and other interesting attractions, close to public transport stations for European Parliament and Gare Centrale. Very good breakfast, warm room. I mostly apreciate the friendly and professional staff.

Very friendly and attentive staff, accommodated our every need. Buffet breakfast each morning included in price. Lift available. Bottled water available at reception. You could access tea/coffee facilities 24 hours a day in the dining area. Very close to the Christmas markets and cathedral! Public parking available around the corner (less than 5 min walk - 22 euro per 24 hours).

The room was small (which we were expecting) and water pressure for hot water in the shower could be better, these are minor notes. Overall we enjoyed our stayed.

Nice location for that price, very close to the main sights of Strasbourg. Breakfast is exceptionally good. Rooms have powerful AC units. The staff was very nice and helpful.

Lack of lactose-free/plant based milk and dairy for breakfast. One day they had coconut milk but was spoiled. Also the cleaning staff knocked violently on our door and kept reminding us that it is time to leave at the day of our checkout. The thing is that we have requested a late check out with hotel staff the day before. Perhaps somehow they forgot to update cleaners about it. Also WiFi is not really fast, we only got 1.5 mbps on average. The TV in the room is fully smart-capable, but for some reason it is disconnected from wifi, so it just shows regular tv channels and Netflix/YouTube is not working.

Excellent value for money as we did book far ahead and it included a very good breakfast. The staff were a real bonus and went out if their way to give advice, to help us with local advice and to present the little hotel in a good light. All cities have such typical little and older places but tge staff make the difference. Location was far from the train station but on other hand was away from tye touristy crowds in tge island and Tram C to Galliano was very convenient.

Not much! Compact room but adequate. European pillows are all too soft!

The hotel location is in center and the receptionist Mr Patrick is so sweet, helper and friendly. I was in there bec of Christmas Market Tour and my phone was stolen. Mr Patrick was so helpful and supportive , Thank you to him. Hotel is very easy to find, cross the Rohan Palais where is in center. Old town and the main places is very close 5 min by walk. Near to cathedral too. You can find everything near the hotel. Clean tidy new hotel 10/10
