Location is excellent!!! You can't get more in the middle of Strasbourg than the Kammerzell :) The room was surprisingly quiet despite windows toward the very busy tourist streets - and the Cathedral Breakfast was VERY French: baguette with butter and jam, the richest croissant I have ever had (half was butter - and I like butter but even for me it was a bit much) plus a carafe of orange juice from a box, coffee or tea provided.

The rooms could do with a little TLC: carpets that fit, a thorough cleaning every now and then. I stayed for six nights and the sheets weren't changed once, but got fresh towels every day. More hangers for the towels could be put up too: lots of empty wall space in the bathroom for them. The staff is lovely but it feels like the hotel-bit is there just because they couldn't do anything else with the rooms that are there anyway. All the emphasis is on the restaurant.

Fantastic location in an important, beautiful, and historical old building right next to the cathedral. Easy walking to most attractions, many restaurants, and the tram. The room was in the roof and very interesting, and had good space for 2 people. The cleaners did a wonderful job.

It is a famous restaurant with some hotel rooms upstairs. Service priorities and attention reflect that.

Gorgeous historic hotel in the centre of the old town. It's in a busy area right next to the cathedral but was still quiet and peaceful overnight. We had a super dinner in the restaurant. Our room was tiny but had everything we needed.

Breakfast was baguette, croissant, and orange juice - they were all excellent, but it would have been good to have more choice. No gluten-free options were available even though requested on booking.

We liked the ambiance, service at dinner was wonderful, the room was very clean, the location could not have been better and the history of the building was unique and mesmerizing!

The breakfast was very bad! Half a baguette and a cup of coffee is the very bare minimum to eat considering how excellent the restaurant, dinner, is. I believe prisoners get more for breakfast than we did.

The room was very small and under the roof, so being in summer it got quite warm throughout the day. AC was there but was a bit intermittent

Location of hotel was excellent, staff were efficient and friendly.

Room was not very "user friendly" as in the gables, Bathroom although good size diffi8cult to negotiate due sloping ceilings. Breakfast very basic and only one cup of coffee offered.

this is an excellent location right at the center of the old town next to the cathedral so you can easily get around the old town, get to the train station in under 20 minutes walking and get to the Orangerie park within 30 to 35 minutes walking. It is perfectly positioned. With that said, it is like an old fashioned Inn with the emphasis placed on the restaurant although the rooms are very clean, comfortable and quiet. There was even a small air conditioner and a fan for when the heat wave hit Europe. there are beams splitting the room and the bathroom which add to the enjoyment of the hotel. But it is not a traditional hotel. You are not going to have someone at the front desk, but somebody who works in the restaurant taking care of you simultaneously. Not a problem for us but it might be a problem if you expect a Hotel

if you expect a normal hotel, you would be disappointed. However, we were only there one night and the room was spotless, there were teas and coffees and cookies along with the ability to make a hot drink, lots of necessities in the bathroom and an air conditioner so there really is nothing wrong with the hotel

We love this place as we have been here a few times. The very medieval structure is throughout the entire place but especially in our room.

Being right on the square of town can be a bit noisy in the evenings.

Hotel has loads of character and location could not be better as it is right next to the Cathedral with dozens of bars restaurants and cafes in every direction.

Nothing - it was all good

This hotel certainly exceeded our expectations. Perfectly located minutes from any and every major sight to see with plenty of things in between.
