The location of this hotel is great right outside of the cathedral in Strasbourg. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast, while a little pricey was the best I’ve had at a traditional hotel in Europe, so far on my several month trip. They boiled the eggs fresh, had whole cheeses, Cremant, and the best packaged yogurt from Alsace. I hope I can come again tk Strasbourg and if I can, I would love to stay at hotel Suisse again.

There was no ac, the water pressure in the room was pretty low, and it was one of the smaller rooms Ives stayed in on my trip, however it’s in an historic district so really all those things are understandable, and I still had wonderful nights staying there.

The hotel location is wonderful, just off the square between the Palais Rohan and the right side of the gorgeous Cathedral. The nighttime view of the Cathedral from our window was very fine. And we enjoyed the bells. We were just two blocks from the river, with the fine walk to La Petite France, and the tour boats. The hotel is centrally-located for a tourist in the Old Town, near museums, picturesque buildings, lots of restaurants and chic stores, the Tourist Information spot, and souvenir and gourmet food shops. The building is very old, and is traditionally furnished, with a charming breakfast room. The staff was friendly and available at all times. The breakfast was extra, but pleasantly and generously presented.

When the building was modernized and reconfigured, our bedroom ended up a bit small, but the bathroom is enormous, but quirky. All very modern. I do not like the ceramic bowl-on-top-of-a-counter sink that is currently in vogue. Splashes water all about. The shower was 10' long, with a 5' glass wall -- also splashes a lot. The toilet was at the end of its own long, narrow room in one corner. Odd. No hooks on the wall for towels or clothing. But the hot water was readily available. No AC, but opening windows -- sometimes noisy from tour groups walking up the otherwise quiet street to visit the Cathedral. No elevator + narrow, steep stairs.

Really enjoyed my stay in this cozy hotel located right next to the cathedral and close to Krutenau. I stayed in the mini single room which was indeed mini but clean and comfy with a decent small bathroom. The historic building is full of Charme and nicely furnished. Staff at the desk was lovely.

The building is ancient so there are some quirks like irregular stairs. The drains in my room were a bit smelly (but was quite easy to air out the smell) and the furniture in my room was a bit banged up in some places. However everything was clean and in nice shape for how old the building is.

Very pretty boutique hotel with a nice cathedral view. Location is great. Staff was very friendly. Comfortable room and bed. Good value for money.

There was not even 1 bottle of water in the room, and when I asked in the evening since I had forgotten to buy water, I was told that tap water is drinkable. There were blonde hairs on 2 of the clean towels... I can assume the towels were clean, but, still, it was pretty disgusting. Due to the fact that it's an old building, the soundproofing is not existing :) so, yes, you hear everything and everyone wether it's in the next room, outside, upstairs and so on.

My best friend and I travel extensively together. We loved our stay at Hotel Suisse. Our room was large and very nicely furnished. The view of the cathedral, especially at night, was spectacular. The hotel is perfectly located for walking to nearly all the sights in Strasbourg and for the city's top restaurants and museums. We enjoyed the hotel breakfast each morning and usually had a hot chocolate or glass of sparkling wine at the end of each day.

There really is nothing about this hotel that we didn't love.

Location is absolutely perfect! could see the Cathedral from our (tiny) room, literally across the street from palace museum, and easy walk to just about anywhere in the historic center of Strasbourg. Lovely staff, beautiful front garden area for breakfast, and beautifully updated bathroom with exquisite bath products 😊

Our room (#4) was TINY and light on floor fan (no a/c) was quite bright but nothing a good sleeping mask couldn’t solve. Also little noisy given its central location but windows provided excellent soundproofing.

Our second time here - location is amazing, close all the tourist stuff. Staff are lovely and friendly, helpful. Very small but cosy hotel. Excellent hot showers.

Only issue was the family room didn't have separate beds for the kids and only a baby cot for small ones so didn't fit our need. The kids survived but it would be nice to have a more family friendly set up in the family room. And the rooms were very cold/radiators were not on as the outside temp was higher than normal so we were a little chilly but the big blankets on the beds were great.

Traditional hotel, very pretty and quiet, slept very well. Excellent location for everything, near all the restaurants and cafes, cathedral just around the corner, lovely to hear the bells chiming. Staff very friendly and approachable, excellent buffet breakfast was included. I would definitely stay here again, felt sad to leave.

There was nothing i didn't like.

The location for the Christmas market was fantastic being metres from the Cathedral. Staff were very friendly and the building was charming, along with the decor in the rooms. The view of the Cathedral was a bonus.

There were only 2 small minuses for us. Firstly, the shower in our room (32) was a bath with a handheld shower head and no shower curtain. This made showering slightly impractical. I would say this is manageable over a short stay but slightly annoying. Secondly, it felt like the walls between rooms were quite thin as we could hear people in the room next door quite clearly.

The position is super comfy, if you’re are looking for a hotel right in the city center. The room was spacious and the staff very kind, helpful and polite.

Two elements to consider, no showstoppers, but: - there is no air conditioning; however, there is a fan with ionizing capabilities. It’s very bright, therefore, not super handy when you try to sleep. - the room is on a slope, not a big deal, but I had the feeling I was goin to roll down from the bed
