The room was small as expected, but well laid out with a small foyer which contained minibar, counter, coffee pot and snacks etc. The bathroom was large and beautiful. The TV and wifi were nice. We had a lovely view of the river. The lobby had a cozy sitting area where you could order wine, cappuccinos, etc. The location was excellent with many restaurants and close proximity to the remarkable 11 th century cathedral of Notre Dame. Oh, the staff at this hotel were very friendly and helpful.

The storage spaces flanking the bed were a bit small. The light switches were connected so that we couldn’t always turn off just one light etc. No major issues.

Great location and beautiful building. We could walk around the Petite France until late and found tons of restaurants and places with no problem. The staff at the hotel was very helpful with luggage and cordial. Bathroom was clean and renovated for an old building. Loved the pillows; comfortable bed. We had a balcony that couldn’t take advantage of only because it was still a bit cold outside. Great view though.

We tried to change the booking - arrive a day later and leave a day after, same number of nights. It was a simple accommodation that they refused due to lack of availability the extra night. We lost one night and when we arrived at the hotel the offered an extra night at a regular rate. Clearly the hotel wasn’t flooded by guests. Also, Room was rather small although they made the best out of the space. Parking is not available - only 2-3 spaces at €30. We chose to park elsewhere buy no garage is really close. That’s a compromise for being in a big city. Strasbourg is worth it.

The Hotel is a fantastic place to stay, with an excellent location.it's near charming cafes and restaurants, and there's is a Carrefour just a few steps away. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was comfortable, featuring cozy beds and stunning view of the church in front and other beautiful buildings in the area.The bathroom was well-lit and spacious, adding to overall comfort. While the breakfast area is relatively small and requires reservations in advance, it's filled with natural light and has a delightful atmosphere.

The only thing missing is an in-house restaurant, which would make the hotel even more convenient.

Our stay at Hotel Regent Contades was a delightful experience. The hotel boasts a charming atmosphere with beautifully curved wall designs and high ceilings that add a touch of elegance to the rooms. The decoration throughout the hotel is tasteful, creating a cozy yet sophisticated ambiance. One of the highlights was the stunning city view—overlooking the river and the nearby church, it made our stay even more memorable. The bathroom was spacious and well-designed, offering a comfortable and luxurious experience. Additionally, the staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful, ensuring we felt at home throughout our visit.

That being said, there are a few areas for improvement. We would have appreciated a wider selection of warm breakfast options, such as omelets. The bed was quite soft, whereas we had expected a firmer one for better support. The shower system in the bathroom was somewhat tricky to use, as switching from tap water to the showerhead was not very intuitive. Parking was also a concern; although we requested a reserved spot, our car did not fit in the allocated space, which caused some inconvenience. Overall, Hotel Regent Contades offers a wonderful stay with a luxurious feel, excellent service, and beautiful views. With a few improvements, particularly in breakfast variety, bedding firmness, and parking arrangements, it could be an even better experience.

The hotel is very nice, albeit a bit old-timey on the inside. Then again, I think that is charming. The bed was OK although the pillows were so-so, the showers were very nice, and the location of the place is absolutely gorgeous. They had a little terrace outside where you could have a coffee, and around the corner you find Café Michel for a breakfast. This was exactly what I want from a hotel stay.

On the first night, there was a bloke with a truck who came to unload stuff at the hotel at five o'clock in the morning. That was quite noisy. Furthermore the pillows were so-so to my taste, but that is personal. I really have very little bad to say about this hotel.

Location was fantastic! Room was spacious. Valet staff was great (eventhough one day the receptionist acted like we didn’t have car, but we got it resolved). A/C seemed old but worked just fine.

Room could use some updates. One easy update would be to get an extension cord on each side of the bed with USB plug ins (3 USB ports on each side) or replace lamps with updsted USB included lamps. Also recommend to update the hair dryer. The not so easy fix is to update the handheld shower. Water pressure is soo high that water squirts everwhere. Either change to a different handheld shower head or figure out a way to enclose bath tub all the way to avoid flooding in bathroom. I would also suggest to update the bathtub drain. Just suggestions. Not trying to be mean. You may still get business due to location, but for us it was just not up to modern standards.

Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Location was good to historical sites

Breakfast was very expensive 24euro It was not a good value for the very simple offerings. The breakfast room was pretty. The property had no AC as a rule because it was early October. Our room was very hot and stuffy with only one small window to crack open. The bathroom was on a raised platfirm very hard to see at night. I stumbled in the dark and was lucky not to fall. They need a light strip

The hotel is well located , steps away from the main attractions in the city. A beautiful, elegant hotel in the heart of the city. Well appointed rooms with city views, very quiet and safe. Its staff ready to help at all times, they keep the property flawless. Letizia helped us a couple of times and she was very nice to us. If I ever went back I'd definitely stay at this beautiful hotel.

everything was awesome. No complaints

The hotel is really very nice and well located. It's a 10 minute walk to the main cathedral square. We requested early check-in and we got our rooms almost 1.5 hours earlier than a standard check-in time free of charge. The rooms were clean and cozy. Beds are good and comfortable.

I didn't have at least one bottle of complimentary water in my room, everything is only in the mini bar. However, there is a carefour-express 5 minutes away from the hotel with. Also the bathroom has the feeling that the renovation of the hotel was quite a long time ago, it is a bit old-fashioned. But these are minor nuances.

The Room was large, clean and nicely appointed. Bed was very comfortable. The luggage load in is basically dragging your bags down a flight of steps, then up the elevator and over a few more short flights of steps as the floor levels are split in the older building. No assistance from the staff and yet this is a 4 star hotel. The view of the Church of the Redeemer is spectacular. Great location to walk the canal and the breakfast was very nice.

Lack of interest of the staff was very apparent. No one interested in the lounge, was empty all the time. Was still a great visit to this hotel.
