The place is absolutely stunning, one of the nicest hotels I ever stayed. Location wise was also absolute top. Old Tblisi in walking distance, the view is simply stunning from the pool area. Tamara and her team makes you feel welcome and will go beyond your expectations to make sure you will have a happy stay. She helped me organising picking up our lugguage which was delayed in transit. We booked some tours as well and these were also exceptional. Nino is a wonderful English speaking tour guide with lots of knowledge and the car (Mercedes) we used was very luxury and comfortable. I would highy recommend the place. And yes, there are a few stairs to climb on your way up, but the staff kindly helped us with our lugguage so it was no issue at all.

would have loved to stay longer!

The staff were very helpful in finding us parking, directing us to the hotel, and carrying our suitcases up the 50+ steps to the actual hotel from the street. The interior of the public spaces had high, vaulted ceilings, with wonderful Asian and African artworks and antique cabinets, and our room was very spacious, with a high ceiling, mirrors around the entire upper four feet of the walls, an art deco vibe, and original artworks on the walls. The bed was large and very comfortable and the shower was great. Interestingly, the three main functions of a standard bathroom (toilet, sink and shower) were divided into three distinct niches on the same side of the room as the entrance. Altogether, it was a unique and pleasurable experience.

The only downside was just an accident of location: being part of an old castle, access to the property is up a winding series of steps. Initially, until we acclimated to the altitude, we were out of breath upon arrival.

Excellent magnificent view. Spacious room. Very comfortable stay. Very interesting books in the study. Fascinating history in the location and surroundings of the hotel. Excellent location in the old city and near tourist attractions. Interesting and romantic stairs behind the hotel that leads to the old city wall and Narikala fortress. Friendly staff that helped me with my luggage. Beautiful hotel garden. Lots of cats and cafes nearby. There is also a three or four storey climb to the main level of the hotel - a slight workout.

Bathroom door cannot be closed completely. The front door of my room led straight to 2 feet drop without barrier - this could be a fall hazard.

The hotel is located in a former monastery, so it’s very special. It’s in Old Tbilisi but away from the more touristy area, so the best of both worlds. Our room was enormous (the one with that big chandelier in the photos so was perfect for us and our son to share. The breakfast room was nice and the food good. The building is perked up on a hill so it has different levels and terraces. It was cool weather when we visited but it seemed like a nice place to enjoy the outdoor terraces and views when it’s warmer. The staff was helpful and friendly. We had a very nice time.

Nothing, it was great.

This is a very special place. To us it looked more like a monastery (adjacent to a church), surrounded by a garden, built into the steep slope below the statue of Mother Georgia. Amazing views of the whole of Tbilisi. Short distances to all of the sights of the old town, including restaurants and some grocery shops. The public spaces are absolutely worth exploring. It's like visiting a museum. Beautiful architecture, atmospheric illumination, a collection of artifacts from all over the world. The garden is full of fountains and stairs climbing the hill with several terraces and seating areas with great city views. One of them accommodated a small swimming pool that - at the time of our visit (September 2024) could have used some cleaning. The breakfast was by far the best we had in Georgia. An exquisite assortment of delicious vegetables, snacks, bread, fruits, some warm dishes and pancakes. We lived in a large room below the hotel which looked more like a whole flat. It consisted of a kitchen with a terrace, a bed / living room and a bath room. It had a separate entrance and the kitchen was equipped with a microwave and a kettle. We were offered an upgrade upon arrival but we liked our room. Spacious, comfortable, great views from the sitting area in the kitchen. The staff was very polite and well-mannered. Obviously keen to appear very correct.

The wifi router in our room did not work properly and hung up frequently. This was taken care of immediately but not solved until our last day. The prices for laundry service were very steep. However: for about 125€/night we stayed at a rather unique place we won't forget so soon. We would have stayed longer.

Great service! Anri helped saved my day by helping me finding my lost purse, which i have forgotten in a restaurant. He called and talked to the restaurant owner in the middle of the night, just to help me! Thanks to him, I got my stuff back in time, before heading to the airport. I made my day and is my personal hero! In general, staff was very nice, helpful and our stay at the hotel was nothing but a great pleasure.

This lovely hotel can help finding the entrance by adding a sign/information nearby such as st the corner of the supermarket or at the beginning of the stairs.

Very nice breakfast with local food , kind stuff who helped with breakfast Beautiful breathtaking view from swimming pool The room was super great and clean

I was very upset with no help to make some surprise for my husband who had a birthday in day we was coming …I asked stuff about a sigh of attention from them side for my birthday husband like a glass of Georgian vine for example… ..everyone knows about Georgia its a great vine region and the vine there is no problems.. But the stuff said - we can not do it ..,just if you will pay ., I guess if guests who spend 200 euro for the night deserve more hospitality and attention from the stuff especially if guests have a special day. I have an opinion that’s the level of management leaves much to be desired

* Guest Relations Manager, Tamara was amazing and very helpful! Our first day in Tbilisi was very special, thanks to her. She showed us the hotel’s hidden gems: such as the wine cellar and brought us to a stunning rooftop with the best view of the city. Then she told us some information about Georgian culture and history of Tbilisi. I could not have been more grateful! The best hotel welcome I have ever had! *we loved the the architecture of the hotel building, as it used to be a monastery in 16th century, it is indeed very special and unique. The greenery all around the hotel’s yard is beautiful (which is on the rooftop and on different levels so you feel like you are in some fairy tale and you can walk around and discover a lot.) *Also we wanted to say thank you to Ilya,Georgii and Peko: very sweet and kind people

Atmospheric "castle" with nicely renovated interior and friendly staff, plus a much appreciated, refreshing pool. No need for a fitness center as all the stairs will give you a nice workout! :-) We lived in the spacious executive suite. Central location in the old town at the bottom of the Bethlemi stairs. Our family would definitely visit again!

We spent half an hour by taxi and on foot looking for the entrance to the hotel, a problem that could easily have been solved by better signposting. Swimming pool area could've been swept free of stones and parasols left out for shade.

- high class luxury experience mixed up with living in a castle interiors with unique rooms and great balcony views (different in each room) - Truly amazing inner yard with fountains and a pool area (April was a bit too cold for swimming though) with a picturesque view of the Tbilisi old town - Very good and professional personnel that helped us with many things such as luggage lifting, arranging a pro photoshoot at the hotel territory, international delivery, and changing rooms/extending our stay ! Special thanks to Ilya, Tamara, Gio, and Toko, who were very friendly and helpful - Small but definitely tasty traditional home-made breakfasts

- Difficult to get to the hotel with the bags on a steep ladder, but this felt more as a part of experience - No parking for guests
