Our stay at Communal Hotel Sololaki was absolutely wonderful! The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our every request, ensuring that we had the best experience possible. The room was impeccably clean, beautifully decorated, and truly exceeded our expectations. A special touch that made our stay even more memorable was the lovely fruit platter they prepared for us on Valentine’s Day—such a thoughtful gesture! Our room was tidied up daily, and the person assisting us was extremely polite and attentive. We are incredibly grateful for the warm hospitality and exceptional service. Without a doubt, we will choose Communal Hotel Sololaki again on our next visit! Thank you for making our stay so special.

Honestly, there was nothing I didn’t like.

My room was spacious, comfortable and tastefully decorated. Location is great, close to all main tourist attractions. Giorgi, who took care of my check-in, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable.

Breakfast is only served 09:00-11:00 in the morning, that's ridiculous. What's more: it's served in such a small cubbyhole that only about 6 people fit together around the communal table at any given time. This creates a situation where some of the guests are requested to show up for breakfast at 10:00 am. Accordingly, I would definitely not reccommend this hotel for early risers and/or business travelers. For such a small boutique hotel, I was surprised that it accepts young children. The hotel is not accessible. People with mobility issues should look for another place to stay.

We stayed at the Communal Hotel Sololaki in Tbilisi last December, and I can't recommend it enough! This boutique hotel is truly a hidden gem. Its location is perfect—nestled in a safe, charming neighborhood just a 10-minute walk from the city center, yet surrounded by cozy cafés and delightful restaurants. Every detail in the rooms and throughout the hotel is thoughtfully curated, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The Christmas decorations added an extra touch of magic, making our stay even more special. The hospitality was outstanding, with George at the reception going above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. He was incredibly kind and professional, making us feel right at home. The breakfast was another highlight—beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. It felt like a home-cooked meal, yet with the elegance and care of a high-end hotel. A special thank you to the lovely lady who prepared it (apologies for not remembering her name). Without a doubt, I would highly recommend this hotel and will be staying here again on our next visit to Tbilisi!

Absolutely nothing

Location, design and atmosphere of the building is very nice, I also really liked the terrace and the Mountain View. Reception manager was helpful and friendly and reacted promptly to my feedback and comments during the stay.

It is an old building, so be prepared to experience quite low sound isolation, guests hear each other passing by in the halls. The hotel mindfully provides ear plugs to all guests, which is a plus, but I am a light sleeper and I really wasn’t ready for this. The room was cleaned every day, but the standard of the cleaning could be higher - some dust was left behind and the carpets needed vacuuming more thoroughly.

We experienced an authentic Georgian stay with hotel-like facilities. Communal has turned this old house into a hotel and has done an excellent job of mixing hospitality with culture. Our property manager/chef was George and we had a great time learning a lot of Georgian history and local knowledge from him over the breakfast table! Amazing clean rooms, great authentic breakfast, fantastic communal spaces to spend lazy afternoons and the local feline visitors to keep you company if you want to spend time with them!

Cannot point out anything that we really didn't like. Its an amazing property and a great break from the standardized hotel chain experience.

we did love the property as is!! our friends room did not have the challenge we had. for our room we could hear everything our neighbour room did (it was a bit noisy), while we do not mind this at all… just mentioning this for people who this is important for (recommendation here would be upon booking to request a room that is a bit more isolated)

Fantastic breakfast; the self check-in worked flawlessly, even jetlagged at 5 a.m. Staff was appropriately friendly. Location was excellent. Nice, modern bathroom, and overall I like the design and decoration of the property.

The bathroom is very nice, as mentioned above, but there isn't really a space to store toiletries. I started with the shelf below the bathroom sink but the sink leaked onto it. The bathroom could also use one bright light for applying makeup or shaving. The mattress is VERY hard -- it feels like a futon mattress. Also, there is a surprising amount of noise conveyed room to room. Other guests were NOT being loud or behaving badly, but a normal-volume conversation held in the adjoining room kept me awake one night, and I also, at one point, got up and turned on the light because it sounded like there was another person in my room, walking around, though of course that was not the case.

We had an unforgettable stay. The rooms were really special - spacious, super comfortable, and full of beautiful little details. The whole hotel has a warm, stylish vibe that makes you feel right at home. Beds were amazing! The breakfast was a real treat - delicious and beautifully served. The staff truly made the experience complete - kind, helpful, and incredibly attentive. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests’ comfort and happiness. Highly recommend this gem for anyone looking for a stay that’s both cozy and memorable!

Loved the design of the hotel. Very beautifully done up. Our room had a little balcony too. George from the reception was very very helpful. He helped me book train tickets and helped me book the sulfur bath too. It’s located in Sololaki, a beautiful neighbourhood - not too far from the old town but not as chaotic and touristy as the old town.

I would have liked someone to be there in the hotel all night. Felt like we were pretty much left to our own devices at night. Even though they did give us a whatsapp number, I still would have preferred to have an actual human being. We struggled with the ac setting the first couple of nights and then figured it ourselves. The bathroom, though pretty, is extremely dimly lit. I had to squint to see what I was using. Also bear in mind that it had stairs and no lifts in case you have heavy luggage.
