This is a lovely boutique hotel just a few blocks from the heart of Tbilisi's Old Town. It is clean and has a basic (but decent) breakfast. The WiFi works well, and overall, the experience is convenient. And all for about $50/night, it was good value.

The staff wasn't particularly welcoming. The bathroom in my room was odd, as the toilet and the shower were next to each other without any separation, which meant that the toilet and toilet paper were soaked when I took a shower. The TV wasn't connected to any channels. These aren't major things, but the difference between very good and excellent is all about the small stuff.

The breakfast was fresh and had good variety. The location is near the main streets/squares which have all restaurants and eateries, It was very easy to call for food (dinner) on Apps. The view while walking around was nice, from balcony, it was much more better than as given in photos. I must put a note of appreciation for the reception chaps. The guy at night and the girl in the day, they were very cheerful, welcoming and always helpful in so many ways. We stayed twice around 10-12 July. We recommend the place especially if you base your tour and travel in around and from Tbilisi to other places.

I was stuck in Tbilisi four days awaiting a misplaced bicycle, no thanks to Aegean Airlines. I holed up at Matianne and happily so. The owner, Turan, is warm and welcoming and funny. His staff are brilliant—equally welcoming and helpful and lovely. Anna gets special mention but all were delightful. Breakfasts were varied and healthful and very good. The expansive second floor deck overlooking the city is grand! The room was large and comfortable and clean and sparely but tastefully decorated with a spotless and very good bathroom. A mini fridge and kettle. My room had a small balcony overlooking the city. Splendid. Quiet and comfortable—very good sleep. A very very happy stay— madloba!

Not a problem for the fit, but it is up a somewhat steep climb and about 500 meters or so to the old town. I would replace the aging carpets to bare wood but understand the challenging economics.

We really enjoyed our stay at Matiane Hotel. The hotel is situated in a good location, just a few minutes away by foot from the Sulfur Baths. The rooms were very clean and the beds very comfortable. A/C worked fine too. Breakfast was sufficient and generally tasty. The staff at the reception were always super friendly. On the day of our departure we had to check out very early (before breakfast) but Mariam from the reception prepared for us a few sandwiches and gave us water which was very very sweet of her and we thank her for that! The hospitality was superb! We hope to be back one day 😊

Breakfast is always delicious and filling, with unexpectedly pleasant dishes from Georgian and Russian cuisine. The location of the hotel is optimal - in a quiet and slightly remote part of the city from the central busy part

Nice new hotel in Tbilisi with big cozy rooms. We stayed four nights in Matiane and we enjoyed every bit of it. The rooms are big with comfortable 180cm beds. The bathroom was nice but the shower could get an additional cleaning. The terrace is amazing and you can easily relax there after a day of sightseeing. The breakfast buffet was amazing with great options. Everyday there was something new to try from. I chose this hotel because of pictures of the buffet and was happy to discover that it’s real!! It’s a quiet area where you feel safe. The staff is making themself available for ang questions you may have. They helped us order food on the night of arrival. Great value for money.

Almost everything was so good in this hotel, staffs are so nice and helpful, we liked view of the city from roof of the hotel, clean rooms, wonderful but repetitive breakfast, the uphill is a little bit annoying and streets beside the hotel little bit noisy during the night, but overall, we were satisfied by choosing this hotel to stay.

maybe i had this problem but i think communication is a little bit hard in there but everything could be done even with the body language, also, we had a big big problem with the check in and check out, as our flight was at 4 am we had to check out 16 hours earlier and stayed on the streets with three baggage until we headed to the airport, it was my mistake too that i did not reserve one more day but also the receptionist did not even help us to get more money from us or even call their manager if she can take money for one more full day and let us stay there,

The hotel is situated within a 15-20 minute walk from Liberty Square, offering a slight incline that adds a touch of enjoyment for those seeking a cardio workout.

Hotel Matiana is located in the old city, a quiet, authentic place with a pastoral view. Very close to the center with lots of restaurants and attractions, about a 7 minute walk inside the neighborhood. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, beautiful view from the window. Varied and delicious breakfast. Would like to mention the staff of the hotel, kind and helpful, especially Rezi, helped us a lot with the problem that arose during the trip. Enjoyed a pleasant stay at Hotel Matiane for 4 days. The food was excellent with a wide variety of options. The hotel offers 24-hour receptionist service, ensuring convenience at any time. The bathroom and room were clean and tidy. We encountered a minor issue with the water heater and door opening card one day, but the hotel staff promptly resolved the problems.

Hot water was not available once. However, they fixed it.
