The room is spacious, clean, great view on the river.

*The breakfasf choices were atrocious! There is barely any option it is literally salad, cereal, fried egg, toast and that's it. It is usually cold, no staff available there to ask for anything extra. The food was not up to standards. *The toilet was small. *In the balcony there was a wooden ceiling and walls that hid the river view partially . That was a disappointment as i am not able to see the view unless i go out to the balcony. Other rooms had normal balconies without this wooden cover. *At the time of the check-in the staff were not aware of my booking and took time to check me in, and they initially offered a room with 2 separate beds when I requested for one king size bed.

The location of this hotel is perfect -- all of Tbilisi's attractions can be reached on foot if you are in decent physical condition, and a lot of walking we did. We were given a river-view room on the second floor with a fantastic vista of Tbilisi Old City as well as the Mother of Georgia statue (see attached photo with view from our room. The building structure is somewhat old but very well maintained, and all the facilities in our room were in good working conditions. Love the high ceiling. The staff members were all very cordial and helpful. The breakfast choices were a bit limited but adequate.

Our room was at the end of the building and adjacent to a restaurant with live music. This did not really bother us at all, but I am making a note here for those who may be sensitive to this sort of thing.

This was my second stay in this hotel and yes, I have fallen in love with it. The staff is always very friendly and ready to help, the room is outstanding with all facilities you may need, including a very spacious balcony (with chairs and a table) with a beautiful view over Tbilisi old town, Kura river and Nariqala fortress. I also like the spacious bathroom and that the room has a fridge and tea-making facilities. Wi-fi works without any problems, too. Location is very good, just a few minutes walk from Avlabari metro station (and you will pass a supermarket, wine shops and friendly restaurants). I hope I can return to sunny Georgia in the future and stay at this very nice and cosy hotel again!

Old Metekhi Hotel is perfectly situated in the historic city center, granting easy access to popular restaurants and events while being quiet enough for a restful stay. The proximity to a park and an ancient church adds a special charm to its location. The rooms are comfortable, equipped with everything needed for a pleasant stay. The attentive staff and 24-hour service ensure your comfort is always prioritized. The included breakfasts, featuring tasty salads, make for a great start to the day. Opting for rooms with a river view offers magnificent scenery, making every morning special.

Some of the rooms had issues with plumbing not being fully functional, which was a drawback. Additionally, the more affordable attic rooms, while economical, lacked windows, which could be a significant downside for those who prefer natural light and a view. These aspects were the main detractors from an otherwise pleasant stay.

The location of the hotel was excellent, very close to the main market and sight-seeing places. The staff, especially the receptionist, was very helpful; she provided me with a SIM card for free until you stay there and helped me add internet as well.

I traveled with my family, and it was a little difficult to climb the third floor because they don't have elevators because it's a very old building. I totally understand the history of that place. They don't have housekeeping to pick up your luggage till your room. We traveled with a lot of bags.

The only Hotel in all of Tbilisi with a view of the river!! must book the River View apartment - you will not be disappointed. Each river-view double room/ suite has a large balcony. In the late evening as the 'Mother of Georgia' and the fort opposite are lit up you can sit for hours just watching them.

1. The Kitchen opens only for breakfast! so this is technically a bed and breakfast, not a proper hotel. there is no restaurant or food in the daytime. You can use food delivery apps - i used glevo which was very efficient. there are restaurants nearby including an indian restaurant up the lane. 2. There are threatening notices of a fine of 500 gel for smoking in the room which is entirely unnecessary - for 2 reasons- 1- there is a large balcony with an ashtray placed on the table outside your room so you can smoke there as much as you like and 2- the housekeeping staff smoke throughout the day in the balcony with the door open - even the corridors smell of cigarette smoke - so the warning notice in the room is not required.

I had a wonderful stay at Old Metekhi Hotel in Tbilisi. The location is fantastic, providing easy access to many of the city's main attractions. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, ensuring a relaxing experience. The staff was friendly and always willing to help, making me feel welcome and well taken care of. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Tbilisi!

The location was perfect—close to meetup areas, restaurants, and markets. Our hotel room had a beautiful view overlooking Meydan. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.

The downside was that we only got to enjoy breakfast once, as it was served at 9 AM, and most of our tours started earlier.

This is a boutique hotel in a historical building right over the river. Amazing views and close to cable car and bridge to the other side of Old Tbilisi. Staff was very helpful and nice. Good breakfast

No lift to higher floor as it’s a historical building. We stayed on first floor so it wasn’t a problem for us. No bellboy to help with luggage.
