It's very close to a metro station. The views are nice, there's a cute little bakery/cafe just across the street which is perfect for breakfasts. Loved the beds. Very comfy, and there's some extra space next to the mattress for little things you might wanna keep close. I liked that it felt quite safe inside (more so than other hostels I stayed in). You get a card that allows you to get in, and there's a few locked doors before you get to enter your room. Wifi is alright and working fine. There are two lockers (per person) inside the rooms (although I didn't use them; I assume you have to ask for the locks because they were not there by default, even though I saw some people did have them), and some extra lockers next to the reception desk. Those get locked with a code of your choosing, and cost €2,70 per day. Super close to Tempodrom if you're searching for a place to stay near that particular venue :-)
I wish the bed lights would work. I booked a room shared with 7 other people and it seemed like none of the beds had working lights. Had to use flashlight after 22 or early in the morning. Towel costs extra. You'll probably end up having to use the public transport (which, again, is very accessible from the location) because there's not a whole lot nearby in comparison to the rest of the city.

The price-quality of the hostel was great. The rooms were very clean, comfortable and had lockets to keep your stuff save. Toilets were cleaned 3 times a day, so most of the time, everythingwas spotless, and showers were clean and very comfy, had their own space to keep your clothes dry and for you to get dressed. The personal and the common areas were superb. Totally recommended!
There nothing wrong with the place. I think that the only thing that I would have liked to see (but not needed it, anyway) is a lift, specially for those carrying a big or heavy luggage.

The 8-person room is very nice and spacious, with a private toilet. Each bed has a nightlight and power outlets. The living room, which is the only common area, is large and very comfortable. There’s a small bar where you can get draft beer or other drinks. The staff is extremely helpful and kind, especially Raquel. I appreciated that she speaks Spanish, as it made communication much easier for me. However, all the staff are very friendly. The coffee is affordable at just €2.50, though it’s not specialty coffee.
Unfortunately, there’s no kitchen, which can be inconvenient for a long stay (a week of only takeaways can get expensive). There is a fridge and a microwave to store and heat food, but they are in a room with a key only the receptionist has, which can be quite annoying. The same goes for getting hot or cold water, as it’s only available at the bar, and only the receptionist can access it. It feels a bit uncomfortable (for me) having to ask every time.

Friendly staff, quiet and clean rooms (we had a private room), well located close to the metro. Breakfast was good and plentiful, well worth the 10€.
Don’t know that I have anything to complain about - but if you have to rent bed linen, why not include this in the price?

This place is just a 4 minute walk from a U1 metro station, which makes it very convenient, especially if you’re catching an early flight. The metro starts running at 4 AM, so getting to the airport by 5 AM is no problem. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Special shoutout to Raquel, she was just as amazing at night as she was at 3:30 in the morning! I really appreciated the 24-hour reception and the complimentary tea or coffee offered on arrival. The building itself is charming, and the common area is cozy. While there’s no elevators, the staircase is wide and manageable. I stayed in a 4-bed room. The bed was comfortable, and the room temperature was perfect. My only issue was that there seemed to be just one mixed toilet on that floor, so it could get busy at times. Each bed has its own lamp and power outlet, and the lockers were quite spacious (don’t forget to bring your own lock). The showers were consistently clean. Breakfast was okay-ish if you’re looking for a warm option, it costs €10.90 and includes scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, sausages, cheese, bread, potatoes, ham, cereal, fruit, coffee, and tea. The woman attending was very kind and let me fill my thermo with hot water, as did the reception staff, something I really appreciated. They also offer safety boxes at reception for €3 a day, which is great if you need to store valuables before check-in. That said, you can always leave your bags in the luggage room free of charge. There’s a supermarket nearby.
The breakfast could be improved. The mini waffles were underwhelming, and some pastries didn’t look too appealing. While the buffet is reasonably priced, you might get a better (though smaller) breakfast from the nearby supermarket, and it doesn’t open until 8 AM, so early risers will need to wait. There was also a noticeable sewage smell in the hallway of our floor, and the street outside can feel a little sketchy at night.

The Grand hostel was named appropriately. It is a beautiful and well maintained heritage building built in the late 1800s. I found it very clean with large high ceiling rooms. The staff were very helpful and friendly. It was very quiet sleeping. Its about a 30 minute walk from all the historic sights of Berlin. Although there is a market right across the street, I found the all you can eat breakfast was exceptionally great for only an extra €10 dollars. I cant say enough wonderful things about this hostel!
The upper floor hallways have a foul sewer smell that means the sewers need attention since probably very old.

The location is really good. The u-bann station nearby has three lines passing by, really convenient. Also, the bed is comfy, and the room, with a private bathroom, where i stayed is really big. And most of all, the receptionist and other staff are so nice, that really help me a lot. Don’t forget to reserve the breakfast, they offers lots of food there, worthy!
Because the bathroom in my room has no drainage hole on the floor, so if people splash the water out of the bathtub when taking shower, the floor is easily to have water puddles.

Nice, clean and mainly quiet place. Nice common area with a bar in a pretty fancy building. Beds were easily one of, if not the best I've seen in a hostel - very sturdy and makes no noise, with a nice shelf-like area next to it and several slots for charging. The staff were friendly and helpful as well, especially Lilja :) The only downside would be that showers didn't have a single shelf or anything where to put toiletries, also that they were next to each other and not separately male/female - but it's only a little downside and didn't affect my stay overall.

Good location, very clean, great value, nice and cozy lounge to chill, good information on events and places to visit around Berlin.
A €5 payment for bedsheets for the two nights, which weren’t mentioned whilst booking. However, not a huge complaint as it was great value for money still,

The location is very convenient, very near the main city train terminal, and with fast and easy access to the airport. It's only a few steps from the trains and bus stops, the neighborhood is quiet, it's very clean, all the staff is absolutely friendly, supportive and helpful, they do everything to make you feel welcomed. Shío was absolutely awesome with me helping me with all the information and support I needed. The building is very nice looking and well equipped; it even has a little shop stand with basic items you may need like: soap, bath gel, toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant etc. It's very convenient with a good cozy environment and travel friendly.
The only things I had a bit of a trouble with was the staircase in the first place. I was originally in a shared room on the fourth floor and it felt as if I were on a seventh floor. it doesn't have elevator. Secondly, the area is nice and quiet but trying to find stores or supermarkets near the building is not that easy. There are restaurants and a pizza place very close, but the nearest supermarket is about ten minutes walk. Other than that, it's a great place to stay and the prices for rooms are definitely good.
