A very pleasant hotel, has everything essential you need for a comfortable stay: hot shower, clean room, and clean bedding. Room cleaning every day. The breakfast is simply wonderful. A buffet with various options of vegetables, ham, even fish, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, muesli, and porridge for breakfast, as well as various tasty pastries. Also, in warm weather, you can have breakfast on the veranda. And in the evening, you can grab some beer and sit there. There are several nice restaurants near the hotel: Greek, Italian, Vietnamese, Indian, etc. We only tried the pizza at the Italian one, and this restaurant is definitely worth your attention. We took it to go, but inside there is an incredible atmosphere, I suppose it's better to book in advance.

What's not there: no disposable slippers, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrushes, etc., so it's better to have all of this with you. The hairdryer is prehistoric, it turns any hair into straw, I don't recommend using it. The soundproofing wasn't very good, so we could hear the neighbors walking in the corridor. I didn't like the area. In my perspective there's too much ugly graffiti everywhere and a lot of litter on the streets. Also, I don't recommend the park opposite the hotel for walks at night: it can be dangerous.

Excellent location, right next to metro (30 min to city centre), parking and two supermarkets. Very good breakfast, which was included in the price. For a similar hotel at the same price and similar location in Hamburg, we had to pay 18 euro extra per person for breakfast. Very comfy family room, with two separate beds in a separate room for our teenage children (privacy and no sofa bed) Clean and decent size bathroom. Super friendly and helpful staff. Free parking, which we were allowed to keep until 5pm on the day of our departure. Very high value for money. This is the first time ever I'm giving a 10.

Absolutely nothing. If it would have been smack in the city centre, it would have been even better located, but then it would have been more expensive. Price/Quality one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. The best ever in a European capital/major city.

The breakfast was delicious and plentiful! The hotel's location is excellent, with easy access to the metro, shopping centers, and restaurants—all within walking distance, making it incredibly convenient!

The only aspect that disappointed me during my stay was the attitude of a female staff member (around 50-60 years old) during breakfast. After finishing my meal, I politely said goodbye to her while she was clearing tables. She looked up at me with an unfriendly expression and did not respond, which made me feel quite uncomfortable. In a hospitality setting, basic courtesy is essential for a welcoming atmosphere. While I truly enjoyed my stay, this interaction slightly affected my overall experience. I hope the hotel can ensure that all staff members provide a warm and professional service to every guest

Firstly, the staff are this hotel's best asset, every one of them was great, friendly and really helpful, they made our stay super 10/10. Rooms are lovely, clean and big. Breakfast was top drawer as well (remember it's Germany, don't expect a fry up!)

Unfortunately adjacent construction work starting far too ridiculously early, woken at 7.20am with hammering etc, you would think the local council wouldn't allow this, but one morning it was construction work within the hotel grounds. The manager should have jurisdiction over this and put the guests as first priority and tell them to wait. This really annoyed me and I was ready for a showdown with the manager (who never smiled). However, seeing as everything else was first class, on balance I let it go.

I really like the location. The staff was also very friendly. Wifi was great. One thing I want to note is that I LOVE all the artwork bought for the hotel, really elevates the space.

A bit rundown but nothing too shabby. One downside for us is that we were placed in the room right next to the reception/breakfast area, and that was kinda noisy sometimes. Ventilation could be better, it was fine for me but friend felt like the room was really warm.

The location is excellent. We went to a concert at Huxley's Neue Welt and the hotel is right opposite the venue. The U-bahn is right outside the hotel and takes you to the center in no time. The staff is friendly and helpful and the breakfast is very good. The room was clean with minimum comforts.

We had a three bed room but the third bed was really meant for a child so bit uncomfortable. The ventilation in the room could have been better. The pillows were awful. They definitely need an update. No kettle for tea or coffee.

Buffet breakfast was excellent, catered for all tastes including vegan options, and the eating area was lovely. Exceptionally clean and I loved the bathroom. The beds were very comfortable and the room was spacious with enough room to put all your belongings away. The hotel was very easy to get to. You can get a bus that brings you straight to the underground where you can catch the train and then the hotel is about 2 minutes walk away. I loved the fact that there was a really big park opposite the hotel, the area is full of shops and restaurants to suit all tastes, with very good/reasonable prices. There was a market every day which was nice. Even though it was busy, I actually found the atmosphere of the area very relaxing and it was helped by the relaxing atmosphere of the hotel. Very easy to get around and sight see from the location of the hotel. Our room was facing the road and I did find it a little bit noisy from street cleaning at night but it soon settled and was quiet by 23:30. Daily newspapers were provided and plenty of leaflets of places to go and things to do. Fantastic Vietnamese street food a couple of doors away, spotted by how busy it is. When I go back to Berlin I will stay at this hotel again without a second thought. I highly recommend it for social/business, couples/families and friends, and also for the LGBT community alike. This is what made the hotel and area very special for me.

Weather was extremely hot and unfortunately there was no air conditioning in room. But saying this, it is Berlin, and to fit air conditioning into rooms may not be financially viable. I did close the curtains in the morning so as not to let the heat of the sun in the room but when we were out the cleaning lady opened the curtains and the second window so heat was allowed to penetrate the room. If I saw her before we left in the morning I would have asked to leave the curtains closed.

The breakfast was tasty with lots of variety. The breakfast room is quite open and airy and a pleasant way to begin your day. To improve, the coffee could have been hotter ... get rid of those individual serving pots because the coffee cools too quickly. The hotel is in a bit of a sketchy area, but we always felt safe. A typicaal downtown location. The room is a bit spartan but comfortable. The shower is excellent. The staff were most helpful and cooperative. One could reach Alexander Platz in five subway stops and the Ubahn station is a 2 minute walk from the hotel.

Cool coffee.

As always, the Ludwig van Beethoven was a good choice. The staff is friendly and professional and seeks to meet customers needs and special requirements wherever possible. The rooms are clean, and, if you are lucky to get one with a window to the rear part of the hotel, very quiet. The breakfast buffet does now have the vegan options generally available, at former times they were available upon request.

Special coffee options like cappuccino can be provided for breakfast, but are charged separately. An automatic coffee machine which provides espresso, cappuccino and latte, at the customers choice with dairy or vegan milk, would be a real surplus.

The location was great, right near a train station. The room was large and comfortable - the shower was great too! There was a free breakfast every day which was delicious, too. The room came with a stand fan which was really appreciated.

Would've been good to have aircon but that's not so much a thing in Berlin - and there was a fan which made up for it. I also wish there was a way to keep the windows open - the mechanism meant they'd naturally close. But both things were so minimal!
