The location was excellent. Rooms are quiet and spacious. All personal from receptionists, cleaners or restaurant lady were polite, professional and helpful. A big plus is that there is a small fridge in the room. Breakfast was fine too.

The water in the shower was a bit cold-ish but no major issues with this. I can't really complain considering the price, we paid 51€ for one night (two person booking). When you take into account the cost of breakfast, cleaning of the room, paying for the laundry, paying wages to employees, paying to the booking website/company...they have actually very little income. Therefore, I can't really complain. If needed, I'd rather stay here, at Margrit Hotel, than to stay in one big international hotel chain. Best is to support a small, local businesses.

It is a nice budget hotel in a peaceful pwrt of the city. Metro (Ubahn) station is few minutes walk. It is clean hotel and staff are pleasant. Rooms are big anough and has all the basic fac. The breakfast if modest but everhing is clean and fresh. Coffee is ok :-)! And there are some fruits and veggies besided usual (boiled eggs, salamis, cereal, butter etc).

It might be challenging if you expect luxury or high level of comfort. It is also not do close to Friedrichain/Kreuzberg/DarkMatter/etc. in case u plan to go out there. There is an elevetor but old one. For me that was ok but some ppl might find it challenging.

It's good that I didn't cancel this reservation after reading the reviews. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Spacious room with high ceilings. The building itself is history... the elevator is especially interesting. Fines about windows are written for those people who are not used to living together in a residential building with other owners (smoking out the window, throwing objects or cigarette ash out the window, spitting out the window). The mattress and the bed itself are comfortable. There are enough channels on the TV to suit any taste. There is liquid soap and gel/shampoo in the bathroom. The Internet works great. The breakfast is not rich, but I had enough choice so that I did not want to eat until lunch. The staff is welcoming (I did not encounter a single person who would answer me badly, did not say hello or was rude).

Some elements of the rooms need to be updated (for example, the window frames have not been painted for a long time and the wood in them is already deteriorating). You can hear other guests walking and talking in the corridor or opening/closing doors. The curtains do little to block out the morning sun light. The hotel is quite far from the main attractions.

Great location, close to the metro and the train station. Great, varied breakfasts in buffet style. Spacious room, comfortable beds. Ample wardrobes. We spent there 4 nights. I can recommend the Hotelpension Margrit.

The only thing I can complain about is the fact that the hairdryer in the bathroom was broken, which I found out when I still had wet hair and had to leave the guesthouse shortly. Unfortunately I didn't check that earlier.

Excellent value for money! The room was huge and spotlessly clean with the comfiest beds ever! Really nice little breakfast included too - nice selection of meats, cheeses, cereal, eggs etc. Great locations only a few minutes walk away from the metro to take you where you need to go with ease. Loved the old lift too. We were also able to store our bags after checkout and arrive after the checking desk had closed. Great communication too!

It was quite near the train, easy access the was also o a lift and breakfast was fantastic considering the price. Customers' service and after service are responsive and excitement

It's a nice classic old building. Therefore, on the 4th floor, warm water takes a while to arrive, but it's manageable. Other customers said they had warm water all the time, so feel free to test it out.

It was clean. The breakfast was good. The room even has asmall refrigerator. There is a fan.

1. The shared bathroom is only 1.5 m2. 2. There were only two usable sockets in the room. 3. I stayed in Room 401. The Internet connection was really bad.

Very nice place. Spacious clean room, with large bathroom and delicious breakfasts included. Nice, knowledgeable staff. No organisational problems at all. Very nice area, safe and close to everywhere. Optimal prices. Highly recommended! An additional attraction is the historic lift :)

The ban on opening windows, although understandable, did bother me a little. Some people may be bothered by the smell of cigarettes, with which the carpet in the corridor is soaked. For me it doesn't matter. It is ok.

Breakfast was delicious, staff were all German style very friendly and accommodating and the rooms are spotless with many small gadgets that we really appreciated. It was a splendid stay and we're looking forward to come back here

The beds are a bit funky, they slide easily on the floor but really generally not a problem

Comfortable room in a pleasant location, good access to public transport, very good breakfast, great value for money!

It's an older building so be on the lookout for a few unkept parts, and a slow lift (did not affect me but keep it in mind)
