Location was exactly what I was looking for! Wonderful local neighborhood vibe that's close to the downtown or within easy walking distance. Staff was amazing too. Really pleasant and helpful. They let me borrow a phone charger during my entire stay, along with an umbrella one of the days I was there. Really appreciated being able to get coffee early in the morning too, before the breakfast was open. The breakfast was very good and the atmosphere very nice.

The second day I was there, there was an unpleasant odor in the bathroom that seemed to be coming out of the shower drain. My phones had some issues with the wifi the second day I was there. Worked fine the other two days.

This is our 3rd stay at Maingau Hotel over a period of 10 years and we love it for many reasons. Its a good place to settle into Europe and dissolve some Jetlag. Its a lovely 10 min over the river into the old town which has beautiful Christmas Markets in Winter and lovely Cafe's and Ice cream in summer. The staff are lovely and helpful. As we have travelled with our 3 children each time the hotel have always always given us the same two adjoining rooms which was import when the children were young. The breakfast buffet is delicious and tasty. The rooms are very comfy, modern, neat and tidy. And when the kids were young they loved the fact that there is a park opposite the hotel with a playground.

If there was anything it would be that the rooms can get a bit cramped (and that's being really picky) but for us it is perfect for 3 nights.

Room had everything I needed. Very close to train station. Comfortable in the neighborhood. Convenient, close by coffee shop, deli options Elevator! I was on the 5th floor Coffee in lobby Seltzer in room

Room was a bit too warm. I thought the room had black out curtains. I didn't know to sign up ahead of time for breakfast. Extra charge if done after reservations made. Check in staff did not provide hotel orientation No English speaking TV stations

We stayed during the Christmas markets. This hotel was perfect! It was slightly outside the main part, 5 minute walk. The room was just what we needed. 3 of us stayed in 1 room. It was clean and comfortable and the staff were very helpful. There were nice bars and restaurants close by also!

Room was a bit small for 3 women but was okay. 1 staff member was not as helpful as the rest and wasn’t as nice. But overall was a perfect stay!

The breakfast, the staff, the location

There was a doop between our room and the room next to it. The noise from the other room was not being stopped much by this door and you could hear people talking in the next room, let alone when doing something more noisy. This was particularly uncomfortable in the evenings and at night. So I recommend that everyone explicitly ask if you have such a door in the room (some family rooms have it) and avoid it.

Absolutely fantastic hotel when it comes to cleanness and tidyness. I thought I am the first person living in that room. Very tasteful design. Rich breakfast buffet and coffe tea cocoa making facility ( profesional automat) close to the reception for free. Pets invited , dog 15€

My room was rather small and without air condition. Air condition in these hot summer conditions would be really needed.

Location and internet. Early check-in. Welcome treats. 15-minute walk to main attractions.

The room was different from the pictures. The curtains do not black the sun. Several messages alerting for early check-in leading to broken links. No AC.

The family room was a great size. Large enough for my family of 4 with one kid on the sofa bed (super comfortable he said) and one in a crib without being on top of each other. Our kiddo loved the playground right across the street.

It was a bit of trek getting to the room with stairs up and down + elevator, which wasn’t easy with our luggage and baby equipment. But there’s not much the hotel can do about that. More of a heads up, I suppose.

To begin the receptionist gave us useful tips to visit Frankfurt. Then the room was really cleaned, its conception was great and very well done. The breakfast was tasty, since the weather was sunny, we could eat outside, the lady in charge prepared the table extra for us. I am allergic to apples and I could not eat the fruit salad so I really appreciated the fact that she brought me an extra fruit.

Everything was great I would book the same hotel if I would come back to Frankfurt. It was easy to reach the central station, the Main river and the old city from there.

very poor wifi; room was quite small (15m2) but I assume they include also the bathroom; they charge for an extra 40 euro comparing with the price mentioned on booking. They said those 40 euro are for tourist taxes (I could not checked if they were already included in the final price so I had to pay)
