We have stayed here numerous times as it is an exceptionally good hotel in a superb location. All the staff make every attempt to make our stay memorable in every aspect. Service is outstanding & the rooms are a brilliant emulation of what you would expect in the depth of the Black Forest. Food in the restaurant is hearty & satisfying for even the largest of appetites with many options of excellent beer. The breakfast is a great start to the day with very friendly staff - mention must be made of the young Noah who is learning hotel management at the ground level & is likely to quickly progress to a much higher level.

Very sparse supply of milk in our room.

The hotel was great, and the location is fantastic! The hotel is close to old city and has a fantastic restaurant attached, the food was really wonderful and obviously the Paulaner beer was excellent! The hotel clerk was very friendly and accommodating.

The big issue we had with the hotel was that they don’t have air conditioning which is a fairly common thing in Germany, but when it was incredibly hot out, our room was also unbearably hot. We actually wound up leaving the hotel after dinner because it just wasn’t cooling down at all and went to a different hotel that had air conditioning.

I had a perfect experience staying in this hotel for two nights. It’s very conveniently located - just 6 min walk away from S-bahn station, two minutes from the historical downtown, but on a quiet street. The room was perfect - everything worked and was comfortable. Breakfast was amazing - eggs and coffee made just for you when you arrive the way you like it. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. Make sure to make a dinner reservation to the restaurant downstairs - it’s so good and so popular, looks like it gets packed at night. You wouldn’t want to miss those amazing traditional German dishes and great beer selection.

We stayed in a Biz Deluxe Double Room. The room size was sufficient for two people. The view from the room was directly facing the Frankfurt Cathedral, which really lets you experience the spirit of the city! In terms of cleanliness — it was normal; at least there was no visible dirt in the room or the bathroom. Breakfast was included, and although the buffet was not very large, it offered a good variety: boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, tomatoes, cucumbers, different kinds of cheese, cold cuts and bacon, breakfast cereals, milk & yogurt, Nutella, honey and jam varieties, fruits, croissants, pretzels, and other baked goods… We spent all day sightseeing and only came back to the hotel to sleep, so its central location was very convenient. Also, having its own restaurant and beer hall right downstairs was definitely a plus. We had beer and a sausage & potato platter there and were satisfied with the taste.

It would have been nice to have at least a pair of disposable slippers in the room.

Location is excellent, very near to metro station and shops. Breakfast is nice and fresh, though could improve on variety. Staff is super helpful and friendly, on my check-out day, the lift was broken and she offered enthusiastically to help carry my suitcase down from 3rd floor, and the other gentlemen is also very helpful with giving directions to metro stations and places to visit.

Facilities too old, heater take long time to heat up and for overseas traveler with little experience in operating the heating system, would be helpful to give some notice/instruction in the room, as we could not call the receptionist. I notice there is some stain on the bed sheet, and housekeeping did not change the sheets even my stay was 2 nights.

Location was convenient to New Old Town where the Christmas Market was located. Very walkable location close to a number of local museums as well. The hotel featured a German restaurant on-site which was great for convenience with good food and beer. Room was small but had a large storage closet which made it easy to keep suitcases and hanging items out of the way.

The showers on the first floor were elevated above bathroom floor which was very difficult for us older guests. Shower was very small, even by European standards - maybe 3'x3' if lucky. We had to help each other in and out of the shower for safety. Not sure if this configuration is similar on the upper floors.

The staff were extremely friendly and extremely helpful. They went out of their way to assist us in our requests. The restaurant was more than amazing. We had dinner there 3 nights. The breakfast also was amazing. A wide variety of cheeses, veggies, fruits, milk, juice, pretzels, croissants, jams, yogurt... coffee.. Location extremely central!!!! Close to u-bahn and s-bahn stations and to major attractions. When we had an issue with our ticket, the management was over nice giving us the same price we had for last minute booking for extra nights.

I wish there were laundry services.

Fantastic location right in front of the cathedral, breakfast was very well appointed (eggs cooked to your liking) and the restaurant was good too. Elevator was very handy for large suitcases.

We had two rooms - one faced the main road and could get a little noisy (bars and restaurants open til very late on weekends), and we could smell cigarette smoke. The other room looked out into a beautiful courtyard with cherry blossom and magnolia trees, lovely to view in spring. Pillows were very unfortunate and should be replaced.

Location was lovely in the cathedral area. It was so close to the main square with gorgeous konditorei which we wished we had time to visit. It was in walking distance to the U and S-Bahn's. Had breakfast the first morning and it was a lovely buffet selection of cold meats and cheeses, pastries and cereals. They had on hand oat milk which was good for my dairy allergy.

The second morning we had to get up early to go to the airport and would have liked a shower before the long trip home but it was stone cold. We tried everything to no avail but it was still freezing cold. The restaurant next door even though it has the same name is not affiliated with the hotel so don't expect that you will be able to get a table. Us and other guests made this mistake as we were not aware of this minor detail.

The location of this hotel is absolutely great, near all your favorite places, but no noise what so ever from cars or people. Clean room, and we really enjoyed the quality of the beds,. The breakfast buffet was good, plenty of choice and well maintained during the morning. Fresh made eggs and very kind service.

To be honest , the water pressure in the bathroom was not always good and the shower head not well fixed on the wall. If that's fixed, my stay would be perfect!
