Very good location, all important sightseeing destinations, shopping and restaurants reachable on foot or by the street car that is a 5-monute walk from the hotel. Room size was decent and the view from window onto the hill and Bergbahn was marvellous. No comments on breakfast as it was a bit too expensive and so I opted out and found several nice brunch places close by.

The place ia big old and so some renovations are needed. Overall cleanliness was good though more attention to toilette and bathroom cleanliness would be desirable. What was really annoying is that the staff did not really respond in a time appropriate way to the toilette cleaning request and the phone in the room was not working so I had to go down to talk to them in person everytime.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The location was great—close to everything but still quiet and relaxing. The highlight of our stay was definitely the food—breakfast was absolutely delicious, with a great variety of fresh options that we really enjoyed. Our room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, making it easy to unwind after a long day. Would definitely recommend this hotel, especially for the amazing food and overall great experience!

The one thing we didn’t like was that the WiFi didn’t work for our entire stay, which was a bit inconvenient. It would have been helpful to stay connected, especially for planning activities. However, aside from that, everything else was excellent, and we truly enjoyed our time here.

In the midst of the city center and 15 min to walk from train station. So we just walked with our suitcases from train station to the hotel. Very quiet around hotel

Very warm in rooms to sleep at night. Only possible to open a tiny crack in one window as windows are bolted cause of avoiding incidents of people jumping or falling out…I asked to have window open but they said no. Tried the air condition but it seemed ancient and made so much noise and little cold air came out. I complained about it at reception but they said that’s what it’s like. We were there in start May with rain and overcast and around 15 Celsius dread to think how this is summer

The location was perfect. Behind the hotel is the schlossberg bahn where you can do a small hike to the stair spiral for a great view of freiburg from up top. Bathrooms are spacious.

The room is small. Rooms have carpet flooring, which wasn't very clean. The floor of the first room we were given was so dirty that we had to request a different room. The second room also had stains on the carpet but at least was vacuumed.

The hotel is located in an excellent area. Parking under the hotel is relatively expensive, but very convenient. The rooms are comfortable and pleasant. Clean rooms and very pleasant staff. The view of the mountains is magical. The only drawback we encountered is that there are no refrigerators in the rooms.

there is no free parking, at least none that we know of or found. there is a parking lot underneath the hotel but it is with additional payment and it could greatly enhance the experience to include free parking. It needs to be just a tad cheaper for it to be called a real value stay/ or a steal but the price is fair

The location was excellent and rooms were less dated than I had expected which was a pleasant surprise. There was also a 2nd inner door separating the sleeping area from the bathroom/entrance which helped greatly with soundproofing. Easy access to parking, located in a public garage underneath the hotel.

There's nothing we particularly disliked. The lobby felt a bit dark and and I noticed some dust accumulating in some corners of our room. But these weren't a big deal for us.

The location is superb, very close to downtown, but not inside so transportation is very easy. The breakfast is also very good, many different options, so everyone was satisfied. The staff is kind and the view from both our rooms was fantastic (the black forest in one of them, downtown from the other).

Hotel's policy that in each room must be adult person. My wife and I, had to decide if we stay at different rooms or same room but separate bed. Also some small refrigerator could be useful.

Position fantastic, 3 min. walking from the cathedral. Parcking is a public cover parking not from the hotel but in the same building.

Breakfast, good but not at the cost of 22€, too pricy for what you get. If you walk around the hotel you find almost only German signs. It happen me not to speak German so it can be annoying. There was also a lady at the reception who doesn't feel good with English, that was a surprise for this hotel category.

The picture above is an exact representation of our 6th floor room. Everything that we needed was available, and we enjoyed the view of the Schlossberg. The location, in the centre of the city, greatly added to our stay. The staff were welcoming and friendly.
