The breakfast staff was one of the nicest that I had encountered in any hotel. It was my third stay there, but this morning was the first time I had gone in for breakfast. And it was a pleasant experience and a wonderful way to start the day! Our room was excellent and large, for the price we paid, and it was very clean with a pleasant smell. We were facing the street, but couldn't hear anything at night, even with the window/door cracked open. And leaving the hotel, and making a couple of turns to the right, you'll find yourself in a very varied restaurant street. Across the street, just further up in the famous King Georg Jazzclub. There are always amazing performers there. Not to be missed!

Nobody's perfect! All their good points overshadow their bad ones.

Good Hotel in an excellent location close to shops and restaurants. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast had an excellent selection and all staff I encountered were very friendly and helpful. Excellent value for money compared to other Hotels for my dates.

No negatives

We were given a family room on the second floor which was bigger than I expected. The beds were very comfortable & the air conditioning was a welcome addition, as other hotels we have been in recently did not have this. The duvets were light & ‘snuggly’ just like those adverts. 😂 there was a small balcony which was nice, and the soundproofing was A++ no street noise at all.

The bathroom door opened inwards, & the bathroom is small, but functional, it would be easier access if it opened into the room instead. The towels were small & not as ‘fluffy’ as I would have liked. There is no water or tea/coffee in the room.

Everything was perfect! The best things about this hotel are the service, the staff, the location and the breakfast. Breakfast was amazing with lots of varieties, and the breakfast area as well as the hotel restaurant and bar were fantastic! The staff were very nice and friendly, specially the staff serving breakfast. Located right next to Ebertplatz. City center and everything you need is near. I highly recommend this hotel!

Rather well located, not too far from the train station and the city center, but rather quiet. Good choice for breakfast. Comfortable and spacious room.

It took me a bit of time to realize that the reason why I was cold in the room was that the heaters were turned to zero, and on my second night the window had been left open, which I couldn't see first behind the curtain. I understand that we have to care about not overheating, but it's the first time I find heaters fully stopped when I enter a room in December. Of course I could switch it on, but I would have expected at least a little bit of warming from the beginning.

I loved the location and the inside of the hotel overall including my room. Yes room was small but perfect for a solo traveler. It was really clean and cozy. The bathroom was nice as well, only issue was the toilet kept clogging. Staff are very kind and welcoming. Also the breakfast was outstanding and a lot of variety. They even offered me a cappuccino which was delicious. In the rooms usually the windows are a little open so you can hear how busy the street is but once closed, you don’t hear anything. The air conditioner worked excellent and I slept like a baby. I would definitely come back.

Parking is across the street so I had trouble finding it but once I checked in they explained it to me. Toilet got clogged in the room but they fixed it fast.

On the first look the hotel might look dated. But after spending some time, I found it quite charming. I could see this charm the most in the breakfast area. We were seated and served with coffee which I found quite nice. Overall the staff were very friendly. Our room was really big. We had a small child and they already prepared the sofa bed. The hotel has a private parking on the other side of the street which is quite convenient.

Even though I understand keeping the original design is part of the character, I would have preferred to have an option for a room with a laminated floor rather than carpeted floor for hygiene reasons. There was no kettle at the room. But it was provided to us when requested.

Single room was comfy, bed was big. Large wardrobe, plus extra space to hang coats/jackets by the door. Nice little bathroom with shower over bath. Between Hansaring (S-Bahn) and Ebertplatz (U-Bahn), very convenient to access the city center/ main station. The breakfast was FIVE STARS, great selection of food, from yoghurt to smoked salmon, from cream cheese to bacon & eggs. Very lovely setting in the downstairs restaurant. Very friendly staff!

For people who are a bit unsteady on their feet it might be difficult to get into and out of the bathtub for the shower. I missed a water cooker & tea/instant coffee supplies in the room.

This hotel is def a 10/10. Super convenient location but you don't feel the noise at all. The hotel put me in a room on a higher floor, which was indeed what I requested. The room is super clean and organized. I was in shock because I hadn't seen such a well-managed room for a while. Even the bathroom is super neat. The room comes with everything you need and it's so comfortable and quiet. Overall, the quality of this hotel just greatly exceeded my expectations! If I ever come back to Cologne, this hotel is def my top choice again. :)

Nothing to be honest!

The employees were too nice and they helped me a lot. I appreciate how they care about their customer. Also, my experience was over that I expected. It was near to hauptbahnhof also to dom. It was also comfortable. I would definitely prefer again when I come Köln again.

Things on the sink were a little bit dusty but the room and bedding were totally clean!
