This is a nicely located hotel at the center of the Altstadt in Lübeck, very close to all of the famous landmarks. I particularly recommend the nearby Willy Brandt house. It reveals a subdued elegance characteristic of Lübeck's Hanseatic heritage. The rooms are nicely furnished, and we stayed in the Heinrich Mann room, one of my favorite authors. I was rather happy about that. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff was very helpful. My son and I started our bike ride along the Ostseeradweg from Lübeck to Rostock, and the hotel is very accommodating to bike riders.

We arrived very early and was greeted by very nice, polite friendly lady who let us store our luggage until check in time and gave us a map of the area. The room was spacious, very clean and had a kettle , fridge, safe, and upright fan in the room. Bed was very comfortable. Hotel is in a good central location. Breakfast was optional and at a additional cost. We would stay in this hotel again if we revisit.

The room is tiny but soooo cozy, it has everything I needed and I just felt like home. It is also very clean. The stuff speak English and was very friendly. I knew the bathroom was shared when I book it so I was prepared but still a bit nervous. It was surprisingly clean. There we plenty of clean towels and toilet rolls, in the end I could just enjoy a nice shower and felt relaxed.

The only thing I wasn't happy with is that someone before me did not flush the toilet properly as the button wasn't functioning well, and this person failed to inform the staff to check it so I ended up finding a dirty toilet and had to fix it before I could use it.

Lovely room - top floor - quiet, great shower room, comfy bed. Breakfast was a good choice of fresh fruits, yoghurts, cheeses, hams, eggs, bacon, breads, juices, tea & coffees. Own tea/coffee making facilities. Location was very convenient to walk around all areas of Lubeck and 15 mins walk to bus or train station with good connections to other cities and the coast.

We were on very top floor in the eaves, so the window was small and it was a little stuffy, but fan was provided.

Very nice and elegant hotel. Our room the first night was quite small (cruise ship cabin-like). We upgraded to a larger room which was quite spacious. So I recommend booking a larger room. Both rooms were nicely decorated and furnished. BTW, Booking.com does not accurately show different room sizes so you may want to consult the hotel before committing.

The breakfast was good and the service great but at 30 euros per couple it's a bit pricey.

Characterful and charming family run hotel in the heart of the Altstadt and close to main attractions. Breakfast delicious, staff kind and obliging.

No air conditioning, which might have been an issue given the very hot weather but natural ventilation was enough just, bathroom a little bit small for larger gentlemen

Great location within Old Town area. Single room had everything I needed, also slippers and bathrobe which were nice bonus. Small Christmas gif left on a door knob was appreciated too. All this small details made stay nice and memorable.

I was a bit afraid, that one bathroom shared between the rooms might be a problem, but during my stay there wasn't a lot of people.

The location of the hotel is pretty good, just need to take 10 mins bus from main station to the hotel. It is also close to supermarket, restaurant and Rathaus.

I understand it is a traditional hotel and private-run hotel, but it would be great to extand the reception opening hours. Remember to check in before 18:00. Otherwise, you need to make a call to notify the staff beforehand.

Very good position in die Altstadt, easy to reach by bus from the train station. The single room is small but with efficient use of space there is even room for a comfortable chair, which was nice for reading in the evening. The trust-based common minibar concept was convenient, and a nice touch. I didn't have breakfast at the hotel, there are several good cafes nearby to choose from.

Not a big issue, but I couldn't regulate the fixture for the showerhead - it seemed to be stuck in a position a bit below my chest, not optimal. Also, there is no elevator so I had to carry my luggage to the second floor. But I was aware of this beforehand, it's a fair trade for being able to stay in a house in the old town.

Fresh air after having opened the window in the room. You have to reserve the time for breakfast (7-8, 8-9, 9-10), in time otherwise your desired time will be occupied (it is a small breakfast room), probably best to reserve the breakfast while booking the room. We ate at 8 o'clock: A faint smell of cigarette smoke in the breakfast room, No ham, a few dry slices of cheese, no boiled eggs. (But there are pickled vegetables, pickled fish and egg halves with mayonnaise if you prefere that). I had the last white bread roll, however there is dark bread. For us, the breakfast was not priceworthy.
