My first impression of Hotel Munich Center was positive—the location is excellent. The area is filled with hotels, almost every other building is one, making it clear this is a major tourist hub. From the hotel, it is only about a 10-minute walk to most of Munich’s key tourist attractions, which makes it very convenient. The staff deserve special mention. The receptionists and other staff members we interacted with were exceptionally friendly and helpful. I honestly did not expect that level of warmth in Germany, but every request we made—whether it was for extra towels, extra blankets, or directions—was handled with genuine friendliness. At one point, when I struggled to find the sauna, I asked at the front desk. Not only did the staff member explain, but he actually left the desk and walked me there himself. That level of service stood out and made me feel very welcome.

The hotel itself was neat, quiet, and pleasant. I enjoyed my stay without any real issues. However, there are two small areas for improvement: 1. Amenities – The hotel did not provide lotion. This may seem minor, but many travelers appreciate it as a basic toiletry, and it would have been a nice touch. 2. Signage – While the staircases had very clear directional signs (go left, go right, go down), the signage for the sauna and fitness room was very poor. It was marked only by a small white dot that was easy to miss. Considering everything else was clearly labeled, a bold, colored sign—similar to the other directions—would make it much easier for guests to find.

Location is pretty close to the train station. Staff is very helpful. Breakfast is extensive, I wouldn't get tired of it after a few days. Felt quite safe in the neighborhood. Also near the amusement park. Rooms and beds are quite spacious and well equipped. I had no issues with the A/C

I got a handicap room. It was great that they have them, but I hit my head a bunch of times and made the bathroom wet. Yea, I guess this is more of a me problem, so I didn't really rate the hotel too poorly.

Modern and well located. Close to the main train station and 15min away (walking) from the historical city center, where there are lots of stores, restaurants, and touristic attractions. There is also a metro station about 1 block away. And the Breakfast was good.

We were offered to pay a small amount for a bigger and better room, which we payed, but ended up in a room exactly the same as all the others we saw upon our stay. We also asked on the first day about a late checkout and they said it would not be a problem, but on the checkout day, they suddenly came up with a late checkout fee. The location is great, but the street itself where the property is located is not very nice, very dirty, and dark at night.

The hotel was clean and fresh. Close to the train station so even that is a plus.

The receptionists needs to improve their level of service. It felt like they didn’t wanna be there and serve the customers. For example if there is a queue they need to speed up, smile and for example say thanks for your patience when it’s your turn. I also got message from Melia that I could check in online and pickup my card in the reception early in the morning. When I arrived I got information that there was no rooms ready until after 3 PM. The check in then took around 30 minutes and the process was really slow. So please update your early check in with information that the room is ready later in the day because there was no difference at all.

Easy walking distance from the main train station, 10min. The check in process was easy as we had already checked in online, so it was simple to just get our room key. We were given a voucher for a free drink at the lobby bar which was unexpected and a nice touch! The room was big enough to have two suitcases open without obstructing the walkways, had a nice view over the courtyard. The bathroom was modern, and the bed was comfortable.

There is nothing we didn't like about this place

Incredibly comfy bed in an excellent and well-designed room. We had a superior courtyard facing room, but from 5th floor you had a lovely view in the background and the courtyard was also very nice. Location was close to main train station which worked well for us. Little welcoming touches were really appreciated!

Shower tray & screen was not ideal, bit slippy getting out and screen a little short. Lighting in the bathroom could've been a little better.

Location. Style. Foyer with bar. Nice room & bathroom. Staff were helpful and friendly.

The Booking.com profile said it has parking but the building work meant parking was temporarily in an adjacent hotel’s facilities. When we went there we were told we had to pay E35 a day. The staff apologised and upgraded us to a better room, but it was a pain. We chose that particular hotel because the info said it included parking.

It has a friendly bar which gets crowded in the evenings. The location was 2 blocks away from the old town so you could get there by walking in 15-20 min. The hotel area is filled with Afghans, Pakistan, and Turkish people so there are lots of shops and restaurants where you can taste middle east foods and lots of barbershops (and I don't know why!) Also, it is 20 min walking distance from the central train station.

Our window roos was opened to the hotel's back yard and since we were on the 4th floor our view was just a yellow wall.

About a mile from Marienplatz. Hotel is clean. Front desk staff were nice.

The kettle in the room had a lot of calcium deposits that appeared suspended in boiled water when making coffee. Need to be replaced. Upon our arrival in the room, the toilet smelled really foul - someone had just pooped in the toilet. Notified front desk and had our bathroom cleaned while we were out. The air conditioning stops working (obviously controlled remotely by hotel) while we were sleeping at night.

The hotel is within 8 - 10 minutes of walking distance from the train station on flat road, and therefore it is also near some restaurant. The room is clean and it has all the basic amenities and it is clean. The check in check out is fast. They offered welcome voucher for drinks at the bar. Very good breakfast. There is a gym in the hotel but locating it might be quite challenging, clean equipment.

Nothing to pick on, probably the size of the room is slightly smaller, and the location of the hotel might be on a slightly quiet side of the city.
