An excellent choice for guests who want to stay in the center, close to the train station and shopping streets. The historic center and the river are also within walking distance. The hotel facilities are very good, meeting the expected standard, with well-equipped and clean rooms and bathrooms. We were surprised only by the trouser press, which is not often found in hotels of this standard. The room is a little smaller, but still comfortable. The breakfast is excellent, with a great selection. After check-out, there was no problem storing our luggage. The staff are helpful and professional. Overall, an excellent hotel, we would definitely recommend it.

The breakfast room has limited capacity for times when the most guests arrive. In such cases, it is necessary to share a table with other guests or even wait a while for seats to become available. However, we only experienced this situation once, and it was not a major issue.

We read a lot of negative feedback about being loud at night because of the traffic, so we went prepared and it was anyway just for one night. However our room was on a side street and I must say it was the best night sleep of our round trip through Bayern! There are special mattresses which are amazing and I must say it was hard to wake up in the morning! Personnel was lovely and really helpful, asking feedback on our stay multiple times. Breakfast was great, too. The location is perfect, 5 minutes to the old town, everything on walking distance. The entrance might seem a bit strange at first, however it's easy to find.

The location was excellent, within walking distance to the old city and train station. Our stay included a breakfast, which was okay but not what we are used to. The staff tried very hard to meet our needs with respect to the room temperature, there is no centrail air in this hotel. The room was clean and the bathroom was big but the square shower was up a step and difficult to get in and out of with nothing to hold on to. If you are able, and we were, it's faster and easy to walk from the HBF to the hotel.

The reception is upstairs with elevator access. Rooms 01 to 03 are downstairs, where we were, so you go up to get in and then down again to the rooms at street level where people walking by or living across can see in. . We are seniors with some issues and the stairs were difficult, the elevator didn't go to our room level. We should have asked to moved as soon as we arrived, that's on us.

Central location, walking distance to shops, restaurants and all major attractions. Mini market next door. Owner and staff are friendly and customer focused. Buffet breakfast was good.

Reception is on the first floor, 3 rooms on ground level behind reception have no elevator access. We had to carry our suitcases up and down stairs ourselves. City view was ground level view of pavement and people walking past. Heating was turned off when we moved in. Room was cold. There were no extra blankets provided in the room. We were able to turn the heating on but is was just adequate. Also heating was turned off in the middle of at least one night. Duvets on bed are not adequate for the room temperature, we were cold. Owner provided extra duvet for second night. Wifi speed is slow, and constantly drops out. Window curtains are not adequate, room is illuminated all night by the bright street lights right outside.

The owner and staff makes this place. They made you feel so welcome and you can see it is genuine!! Whatever you need, they will help you with. The location is spot on in the old town. Walkable to every beautiful sight!! Don't miss any of the bridges!! Rewe right next door if you need some lunch, dinner, snack. But you don't need much after a good breakfast, and do try the excellent Latte!! Highly recommend Avenue Hotel.

Liked everything. Not their fault, but GPS takes one to the back entrance. Make sure to enter next to the Rewe grocery store. Otherwise you are at the back entrance. Hope this will help someone.

I stayed in a clean and cozy single room that looked far better than what i saw on the webpage. Hot water abundant, very friendly, sincere and welcoming personnel. It only takes a 5-minute walk (or maybe less) to the nearest U-Bahn Station "Weißer Turm”. Besides, the all you can eat breakfast was very lecker, you can even have some tasty smoked salmon. I certainly recommend this conveniently located and traditional hotel to everyone who wishes to visit this historical city.

The building is shared by a pub in the basement, a clothes store on the ground level (or 1st floor by American standard), and the hotel itself. It could be a bit vivid and bustling out there on the street especially at weekends, but the windows were quite soundproof so it wasn't a big deal.

The room was nice and the hotel is well-located. We were pleased with the many nearby parking options and the staff was very kind and explained everything clearly. The breakfast was also great. We had a wonderful time and would recommend this place.

The only negatives were the room location on the 'zero floor,' which required us to take the elevator up one floor and then down again to get to our room. Additionally, our request to have two rooms located near each other was not accommodated.

Great location, 15 min walk from train station down a small corridor, great security, by way of outer door key. Rooms were clean and spacious. Breakfast had a large selection of foods. Great way to start the day. Staff were attentive. out and marvellous Reception manned, at all times. All the staff were really nice, owner / manager very friendly and helpful, will visit again for sure . Felt safe and grocery store nearby,

Nothing everything was 5 Star

Location (walking) - excellent! This location was near the main shopping street and we walked to the Imperial Castle and everywhere in Old Town. Such a great and accessible location! Service - Our family of 3 had the suite and the manager was kind to offer us the extra bed. Appreciated the wireless charger in the room. Despite being in an old-looking building, the room feels renovated and new. Breakfast - one of the most sumptuous breakfast spread we have had, comparable to the big hotels.

Location (driving) - had some difficulty finding the door while driving and parking had to be across the road at max €20/day. But we felt this was not too bad, compared to parking to Munich where we visited before Nurnberg.

The location is brilliant, right in the historic centre – turn one way and you are walking in quiet, old streets, turn another and you are in the middle of a busy pedestrianised shopping street, yet the hotel itself is quiet. If your luggage is not to heavy for the 15 minute walk from the station, then I would recommend this one over the hotels by the station. The staff is not only caring but professional and experienced, and there is always someone on hand. The room was large and with ample desk space.

The entrance is by some nightclub or similar but don’t let this put you off, the front door works perfectly, instructions are clear, there were no problems, it seemed perfectly safe and easy. My phone reception wasn't very good in the room, so not sure how well this would work for people planning to work from the hotel room. I have not used the hotel wifi though, so that might work instead.
