We arrived at the hotel earlier than expected and the staff made every effort to accommodate us as quickly as possible, which we were so grateful for after a long travel from the US. This hotel is very comfortable and walking distance to a train stop which makes accessing the city extremely simple. We never had an issue getting a taxi which we chose to do at times simply because it was very cold and my young son wasn't always keen on walking to the train in the cold. The hotel has plenty of places to sit and enjoy a quiet moment after a day of sightseeing.

Each day my son and I would leave after breakfast and return to our room in the mid/late afternoon to rest, due to jet lag. It would have been nice to have our room serviced prior to our return but perhaps since we were on the top floor we were last on the list so we only had a clean room 1 day of our stay. This is neither an issue or a complaint, simply something that would have been preferred.

The apartment exceeded our expectations in size, featuring nice furnishings and a well-thought-out selection of complimentary amenities. Its location is conveniently close to the city center, with excellent access to public transport and ride-hailing services like Bolt or taxis. The complimentary breakfast was enjoyable, offering a good variety of food choices. While it wasn't a luxury 4-star+ hotel breakfast, it met our expectations perfectly and was reasonably priced. Additionally, coffee, tea, and light snacks are available throughout your stay near the hotel lobby, which was a nice touch. Overall a pleasant experience.

it was so homely. I stayed in the Gold room and it was like a mobile home. There was even a kitchen inside. Very calm and quiet place to tank yourself after a busy week. The environment was homely with very passionate staff. Christina, a very wonderful lady ready to give her gasts her all. we shall be back.

I wouldn't say something, I didn't like but I think room keeper forgot to fill the soap containers. however was a big deal because I think if I needed more, I should have been given.

We were delighted with the gentle non-homogenized nature of this small, friendly and independently run hotel in a town we had not visited before. It has a style all of its own, somewhat quirky but enjoyable, and is the antithesis of the ‘corporate’ uniform facilities that are offered by virtually every chain and even independent properties these days.

A gem of a hotel. It looks quite simple from the outside but it's inside is so lovely designed. It has cozy little rooms, which were an example of cleanliness. The staff was extraordinary friendly and the breakfast was home-made and one of the best I ever experienced. I fully recommend this hotel, it was just a flawless stay.

We received a free upgrade and the apartment we stayed in was exceptional. Everybody that we encountered at hotel Vosteen was very friendly and helpful. We did not cook during our short stay but the kitchen had all ameneties including a dishwasher. The apartment was very comfortable , beautiful and clean. We loved our stay.

Everything was great. The area serving breakfast is a little bit small and was too busy and crowded on our first morning. We passed on having breakfast and changed our breakfast time for the second morning. This is not a dealbreaker and we loved the charm of the old piano in the dining area.

Loved the garden out back, the common room where the breakfast was, lovely 1970's & earlier decor. Quiet, friendly, helpful, good wifi (important). Great location, convenient to public transport & simply walking all over the city. Amazing breakfast, with variety from day to day.

restaurant recommendations need an overhaul (or just don't recommend)... a recommended Italian restaurant turned out to be an awful experience: awful service, screaming unruly children, an overcooked lasagne that was a charred brick, that they charged me for anyway.

This is a unique and delightful place! A small old hotel with 1950s furnishings, lovely breakfast, and wonderful staff. Our room was light, quiet, and comfortable. It's in a residential neighborhood with many good international restaurants nearby. Christina, our energetic, helpful, multilingual host, gave us great information and tips for seeing the city.

Very nice and beautiful hotel in 70s style (with a great eye for detail, you can see a lot of time and love went into creating it :). Friendly and helpful staff, everything very clean and tidy, delicious and healthy breakfast. Situated right at the edge of town and close to a nice city park (with playgrounds :). Comfortable stay and great atmosphere overall!

The welcome is quite personal and the staff friendly. The room is large and clean with good heating. The breakfast is very good with a large choice (but no hot breakfast). The hotel is located at 10 minutes walk from the city centre and about 20 minutes from the main station.

There is no elevator. It is thus a good idea to take luggage that can be easily carried upstairs. The room is large enough but the space to store clothes is a bit limited.
