The location is just perfect in my opinion. It's like living in the old town (which is just on the other side of the road). The matresses are very comfy and I am even thinking of buying the same brand for my house. The breakfast is just awesome! A lot of options available and I can surely say that it is one of the best breafast buffet.

At breakfast we were asked to move to another table, in a corner, but for no reason. We did as we were asked, but to be honest it is not clear why we had to stay in a corner, especially as it was late (9:40 am) and the place was almost empty. We would've loved to stay at the window...It felt like we were grounded..but hey, our mistake for not asking why.

It was lovely to receive an iced tea & biscuit on arrival. Check in was very smooth. The room was a generous size. We asked if we could have a kettle & mugs in our room & the staff were very pleasant in accommodating this. We also ate our own muesli for breakfast in our room & staff happily gave us bowls. The mini fridge in room was great too. The decor of the hotel is lovely. It was so close to walk across the road to the old town & square. This was wonderful.

We liked everything. We were hot and there is no air con but we also understand that some parts of Germany where we were, where having a heatwave.

Great location, this hotel is 2 minute walk from the nearest tram station. Lovely cafes located nearby and 10 minute walk from the Christmas market through the wonderful castle arch. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, we had an issue with our shower, could not have been fixed quicker. Add your breakfast!! Food was incredible, fresh all made on site and a huge variety. Room was incredibly comfortable, spacious and I have even asked about buying a mattress from their provider (its an option in the rooms) as it helped my wifes bad back. Hotel is also spotlessly clean. 100% rdecmmend the stay in this hotel.

It’s located in a neighbourhood and a little distance removed from the main traffic but only a short 5 minute walk to the wall and entrance to the old town. It was conveniently located to everything and easy to find. It’s a modest size hotel with a lift and a nice breakfast room.

It isn’t air conditioned but we had lots of windows which we were able to open to catch a breeze. We just missed a heatwave which might have been a bit uncomfortable without air conditioning.

We loved the TIPTOP Hotel Burgschmiet Garni in Nuremberg. It is family run and everyone is very pleasant and willing to assist travellers in any way they can. The rooms are comfortable with all the amenities.The breakfast is absolutely outstanding and replenished frequently with such a variety of tasty offerings. The hotel is perfectly located, within easy walking distance of the old town and a short tram ride away from other sights. We would happily stay here again.

The location was excellent and very close to the historic and commercial center of Nürnberg, basically five minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel is located in a beautiful and quiet street. The room was furnished with great elegance, the bed and the extra bed we required were both comfortable. The bathroom and toilet facilities were modern and the room was clean. The selection of breakfast was wonderfully rich, great selection of salami, meat, cheese, great variety of pastries. The staff at the reception and the dining room were polite, efficient and very helpful. Parking at the back of the hotel was convenient. All in all, Hotel Burgschmiet is a great place to stay and value for money.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Our room had a slightly quirky layout, being up in the eaves on the top floor, but it actually added a bit of character and worked well. It was very clean, comfortable, and surprisingly peaceful, especially considering how close it is to a tram stop. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice, and all the staff we spoke to were friendly and helpful throughout. Would happily stay again.

The hotel is quite small and located on a quiet side street just outside the historic city walls. We were very pleased to be given a good sized room with plenty of space, and a small but very well equipped modern bathroom with a great shower. We were on a schedule so didn't have breakfast. The hotel is well located for easy access to the historic centre of Nuremberg, and is very close to the castle and Albrecht Duerer house. The staff were really friendly and helpful with directions.

It's difficult to find anything that didn't meet our expectations. We stayed in three hotels during our Germany trip, all at a similar star rating, and this was the best.

Bathroom was very tiny and shower head was not functioning properly. No tea cup for making hot drink, only wine glasses provided. Lighting was not enough and in bad position. No fan or air-conditioning, but we were okay in October season. Room provided was a bit noisy, as it was close to main traffic, especially on our first night, lots of ambulance services passing by. Pillows were too soft and flat. Breakfast table and area was a bit small.
