Beautiful hotel, palatial in appearance and experience! Fantastic location for the station and access to everything in the town. The staff were very helpful, welcoming and professional. The gorgeous lounge area has free tea/coffee/pastries/fresh fruit/fruit infused water and a sumptuous lounge area to enjoy it. The bedroom was large, almost like a suite, with a toilet separate from the large bathroom which was well equipped. We loved it and would definitely return.

Really easy to reach the hotel on foot from the station. Gluten free bread/rolls were available as well as a large selection of fresh fruit. All three receptionists were very helpful and friendly.

The beds were not very comfortable. We had twin beds and we could both feel the springs coming through the mattress. Some days the room was beautifully cleaned and other days the beds looked like the person had never straightened their own bed! We think it was a young man on the bad days!

Excellent location, even though finding the car entrance is tricky. The breakfast room is bright and relaxing with free mini-newspapers in several languages. It was directly at the start of the Light Festival route. Lots of small comforts in the room. Very large rooms. Convenient split toilet/bathroom.

The parking garage was OK for our car, but SUVs, large cars, and American drivers should not plan to use it. Accessing the parking is best as a 2 person activity - one driving one on foot at the desired destination. Unloading the car before entering the parking garage is not a suggestion - you can't get the doors open that far once you've parked.

We had to stay there once at least. Mick Jagger and James Brown apparently stayed there when Duchesse Gloria hosted parties in the 80/90ies. It is not unlike Budapest Grand Hotel or other places, still a bit grand but clear signs of decay. New bathroom and separate toilet are a plus.

No air in the corridors, hot and sticky. Filthy carpets. A large back log of renovations and too many layers of paint already. Still, charming.

Location was in perfect walking distance of everything i needed. Hotel was clean and tidy and a nice aroma. The breakfast was a perfect way to start the day with a lot of options. Staff were very polite and welcoming and recommended the best restaurants in the area.

Traffic light system for parking could be improved to be more reliable, maybe switch to buttons instead of weight or laser sensors. I did not have any issues with parking but when the lights would not change i had to chance it..

The rooms come with a classy ambience with a nice furnishing with a lot of wood so it feels really good staying at the rooms. Thanks to many carpets and good insulation it`s also very quiet. The location if perfect, close to the central station and very nearby the pedestrial zone and the old town and I liked a lot the bar next door in the basement. I definitively would stay again at this "castle".

The overal lobby and dining room gives u a rich and welcome feel. The staff is kind and likes to assist; we were given a knife, fork and plates to enjoy our custom cake. The minibar had a decent capacity to even store the cake! The breakfast is totally a highlight, having a nice room to eat in, with a widely variety of things to eat.

While the hotel tries to aim for a victorian style all through to the room, the room itself kinda lacks with the only remotely decoration being the upper sides on the ceiling, the view was behind the building, facing directly onto another building, u can't even look down. The room also is equipped without an AC and the only thing to remotely get it cooler is with a standing fan, which made the nights a bit uncomfortable. There isn't any heaters either so not sure how they do it during colder days.

Exterior and interior take you back to the 19th century, the room too. Staff was 5 stars. Room was very spacious and nice. Location - on the edge of the old city and with a great underground parking garage. Breakfast was very good and overpriced a bit.

Hall carpets showed their age.

The italian restaurant next door to hotel was excellent and the park between the hotel & train station made for a relaxing walk. The revolving fan in the room made July heat bareable.

Would have like to stay in Regensburg longer.

This is a beautiful hotel with excellent staff. The rooms were large with lots of space to store things. It was easy to walk to Old Town and lots of good restaurants close by. Handy to the rail station.

There was a hollow on my side of the bed.
