We booked this place due to its close location to the airport. The staff was all extremely friendly and helpful, especially George. The pool was warm. The ping pong tables were fun. There was a pull out rack on the balcony for hanging wet swimsuits. There is a nice beach club (News Seaside) that you can easily walk to. And the ocean there was warmer than any other place we swam at on the island. At least in the beginning of June.

You can hear airplanes taking off and landing but since its proximity to the airport was the reason we booked here that didn’t bother us. Also, the elevator is quite small. It wasn’t a problem for us but it could be a problem for a family traveling with small children and lots of gear.

I would always recommend to reconsider the price you pay and what you actually expect...as I hate people who leave bad feedback just because they thought they get 10 star luxury hotel for a 100$ bill. regarding Karteros hotel I personally think they underrated as there was nothing to complaint about. From amazing staff who were always happy to help and navigate ( and believe me when I say I have a LOT of questions regarding places to visit,nearest bus stop, price of the drinks in bars etc etc.) to clean and cozy rooms, yummy breakfast, security of the hotel ( they even have a cute dog who's wondering around the hotel everywhere and is very friendly ,,oh and Iam scared of dog by the way but this one didn't even notice me until I gave him piece of bacon 😁). My overall impression is 10 out of 10 as I've stayed in similar hotels all over Europe but this one became my favourite. Also,please keep in mind that noise from close airport cannot be considered as hotel faulty...if you want hotel that is close by to airport obviously there will be noise (but it's ok with earplugs).Price for taxi from airport is 20€ and it's literally 7-8 minutes. Beach is close by ( 200m from hotel) and it has approximately 4-5 bars where you can have a meal also. Local stores are in very close distance where you can get everything you need but if you looking for big supermarkets you need to get to Heraklion centre. I would really like to thank to all the stuff in Karteros hotel for taking care of every single guests as equally 💗

It would be amazing if they had a dinner too,because it's lovely restaurant and it could work out same way as breakfast with buffet

Perfect location just "around the corner" of Hiraclion airport (4 min by taxi). One of the best, lovliest and kind hotel stuff in my life. They helped us a lot (with best places to visit, best restoran's to visit, car renting, explaining how to move with public transport, taxi...etc), they were really kind not because they need to, but because it's the way how they feel and they really care. Rooms were clean for the whole period that we stayed. Conditioner worked perfectly. Pool is like a pool - clean water and place to relax and take a sunbath.

The only little minus for us was that the refrigirator didn't work fine, but it wasn't crucial for us

Staff and hotel facilities are really great, really pleasant and relaxing stay and atmosphere, pool is cool; the shop, the beach, the car rent is real near. Everybody from the staff was really nice, they even could speak german (English on the reception also good)

We had a room on the side of the street so in the morning it could be loud. But since we had air conditioning on, window was close and it was quiet :) During the breakfast we liked to sit outside and enjoy the sun and fresh air, but outside was smoking allowed so there was not always fresh air...

We stayed a few hours to sleep until our next flight. Very close to airport . taxi fee 20 eur from airport which is minimum in crete. Very kind receptionist. Thanks for cheerful welcome in the midnight

Breakfast was a good variety of Greek foods, though it varies only slightly every day. The staff was very friendly, the room was absolutely perfect. The location was perfect. I could not be happier with this stay.

This stay was incredible, but if I had to pick something to nitpick, I'd say breakfast could've been a bit more varied day to day. We had breakfast at another hotel and they had different foods, so it can be done. But seriously, the stay was incredible and breakfast isn't going to ruin your day.

Very friendly and accommodating staff, nice location with good sand beach in front of the hotel, a few kms only from the airport, good breakfast, great value for money

Very convenient for Heraklio Airport, especially if you do not want to drive in town, and you can check in after hours.

The hotel is very nicely situated, 5 min to KARTEROS beach. Vvv nice beach. The staff is just wonderful: vvv friendly, helpful, absolutely professional, with the extra touch that makes this hotel memorable - and want to return to. Breakfast was excellent as well. I had a wonderful stay and will certainly come back and stay for longer
