Close from Heraklion airport and convenient for the midnight flight arrival. Yet the taxi cost 15 Euro. The reception was open all night. My room was OK and was rather spacious. I didn't know that there was an air conditioner until next morning. There was no electric water kettle so I used my own portable electric water heater. There was of course a shower but without curtain so I didn't take shower. I didn't want to splash water all over the bathroom. I didn't eat breakfast. All in all it was an OK stay but nothing more than that.

Just over night stay for the next destination so nothing to complain about.

Fabulous hotel so close to the airport which made life so much easier as just a quick taxi ride from the airport which cost about 10 euros. 24 hour check in was so handy, staff very friendly and helpful and a lovely little pool to cool down in. It didn’t feel like we were in the middle of a busy city! The buffet breakfast made life a lot easier in the morning with a good selection of pastries and hot food.

Can’t find anything negative to say apart from a bit more vegetarian options for breakfast would be appreciated…..maybe some more cereals or yogurt!

I loved the chilled out large swimming pool area . My room was modern and large ,very clean especially crisp white bedding . Super quiet even though very close to the airport . The reason for booking was close proximity to the airport on leaving . The staff were super helpful as they allowed me to check in early and use all the facilities the whole day after check out as my flight was not until 10.30pm . Quite stylish modern . Very happy with my stay

Food was a bit limited but the other things made up for this so no complaints.

Easy and quick to get to from the airport. Arrived about 10 at night and was met with a smile, checkin was easy, just a simple form to fill in and then on to my room with a very comfortable bed. The room was a good size as was the bathroom and in the morning the room was bright and airy with a decent sized balcony. Breakfast was more than adequate with plenty of choice from cereals, through continental style and also cooked food. I did have a feast to set me up for the day ahead. I will not hesitate to stay here again if I need an airport hotel.

I have stayed at Sofia Hotel many times, and it has always been perfect for me. The location is ideal if you are needing the airport, and the bus stop is close by of you are venturing into the town. The staff are very friendly, polite and helpful. My rooms have always been clean, cosy and comfortable. The area is very quiet, so you can relax in peace by the pool. The hotel also has a private parking area, so no need to try and find parking on the street. I have always loved staying at Sofia, and i will definitely be staying here again the next time I am travelling to Heraklion.

This is a well-appointed hotel, in a lively suburb of Heraklion not far from the airport. It was an ideal location for the first part of our visit to Crete, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The area around the swimming pool was particularly pleasant.

Nothing was problematic. An extra armchair would have been welcome, but it would have been hard to fit it into the room. Tea and coffee making facilities are not yet expected in mainland Europe, but hopefully this will change over time.

This hotel is like an oasis in the city. We stayed here in order to be closer to the airport for our early departure home. The staff were friendly and helpful. Parking lot was small, but we were able to secure a spot. A number of good eating establishments were within walking distance. The room itself was clean and comfortable. We appreciated having the mini fridge and the air conditioner. It was quiet despite the proximity to the airport. The welcome raki table was an added touch!

stayed there before last October, so I knew what to expect and what NOT to expect. This should be considered purely as a transit hotel, not more not less. When I kanded at HER long after midnight there was no more bus running so I had to take a Taxi and couldn't escape the "Minimum" fare of 15€ for the three minute ride. The next morning when I picked up my rental car I walked to the airport in less than 20 minutes. Room is clean but very basic. Noise from plane traffic is bearable.

the room is tiny, can't even sit at the desk properly as not enough space for the chair - see the pics. Very difficult to open your suitcase even as a single traveller. Breakfast is as basic as the room

This a great hotel to stay at particularly if you are flying out early or arriving late. very close to airport lovely pool does close at 7pm. Great Breakfast lots of variety. Staff very helpful and has a good area to park a car. Food market on a Tuesday amazing fruit etc. pharmacy and supermarket really close. Staff super helpful. 11am checkout is great too

Would be nice if pool stayed open until bit later

Reception is friendly and informative. Rooms are nice. The area surrounding the pool is lovely. The location is perfect: a short taxi ride from the airport with our bags, and a 20 minute walk back to the airport without bags a couple of days later to pick up our rental car. The hotel is not far from the main road between the airport and Heraklion centre and there are buses every 5 minutes or so. Google maps makes it easy to use the buses.
