We stayed four restful nights in a suite. Very friendly and responsive staff, especially Mary who tirelessly answered our questions and tried to get us a last-minute booking at Peskesi. We loved the very comfortable beds (we could have slept in every day!) and olive oil-based toiletries. Great location - short, uphill walk to the center (national museum, restaurants, shopping). Superb breakfast served in the room. For a quick bite, there are fast food restaurants and a supermarket next door. Free parking right in front.

I love that we can open the windows for fresh air but as the hotel is on a main road it can get noisy from traffic and youngsters with loud cars. Not a problem with windows closed.

They should specify this view so that when you take the decision to book this room you know all that you get. - it was nice having breakfast in the room, but to be honest we didn’t feel it was worth it 40 euros (because of the quality and freshness of ingredients). We ate nicer breakfasts in other places and they didn’t cost this price . All in all, the breakfast was good, but overpriced. - in some moments it can get a little noisy because the hotel is close to the big street. This happens for motorcycles going with high speed that are very loud, not for regular traffic.

The hotel staff were super friendly and communicative, check-in and checkout were a breeze and the room itself was spacious, comfortable and clean. The location is quite central in downtown and walkable everywhere, but with easy access to the airport by car or public transportation, making it an ideal choice for a night after or before a flight. Also, we loved the convenience of a free parking spot right at the entrance. Overall it's a good option for short city stays.

It's a small thing, but the toilet in the suite cannot tolerate paper, meaning all used toilet paper should be thrown in a can. Guests are even warned that they'd be required to pay for a plumber's service should they cause a blockage. Luckily we had no such issues on our one night stay. I understand it's an old building with infrastructure issues but as a guest that's pretty awkward.

Everything was perfect for our stay in Heraklion of 2 days. The hotel is very well located, easily accessible from the airport, in front of a bus stop for Knossos and at a 5/10 min walk of the archeological museum and old city center. The room was very comfortable, clean, spacious and well sound-proofed which is appreciable given the hotel is on a busy street. The breakfast served in our room is excellent, with Cretean specialties, fresh and savory local products, and daily updates. The hotel also took note of our food allergies, which is much appreciated. But what made our stay special was the warm and friendly welcome of our hosts Dimitris, Mary and Miltos. They were very accommodating with our luggage on the last day. A special thanks to them for sharing recommendations of their personal favorites of restaurants and places to visit in the region, we really felt welcomed like guests in their home and not just customers of a service. We will definitely be back!

We were met by Mary who was very efficient and friendly with lots of information as we checked in. She sent us a greeting message and email to confirm our booking before we arrived. The room size was perfect for our needs with a good size fridge and wardrobe space. The room had interesting decor and was light and bright. The ensuite was beautiful and very practical with comfort towels. The view was a street view. The location was 10 minutes walk from the old city and the ancient harbour.

It was great. We liked the location and the ease of using the room. Staff was phenomenal and we felt very well taken care of.

There's a mini fridge but it's already pre stocked with drinks and such and it left very little room for your own personal items. No microwave available. We didn't understand that breakfast was made to order. It was pretty good and they did well remembering your preferences. If you have a big appetite it may not be enough food though.

In the midst of the pandemonium of the city of Heraklion Lavris is a clean, quiet and peaceful haven. We were passing through from another part of Crete to catch an early ferry. Lavris is perfectly situated across the street from the bus station and a short walk from the port. Also, it is a short walk to the sights in Heraklion. Our host, Mary, who checked us in was extremely kind and helpful as was the host - Miltos(?) who checked us out. I also like that their hot water and part of their electricity is solar. We occasionally pass through Heraklion, and when we do next, I will definitely choose this hotel again.

Located across the road from the main Heraklion bus terminal and 5 minutes walk to the ferry port. So convenient! The rooms were modern and included so many extras such as, charging ports next to bed, Netflix, iron, luggage weighing and a sweet treat upon arrival. The breakfast in the room was absolutely amazing! Very filling and gorgeous the way it was set up. All the staff we came across were friendly and helpful. Hotel is a 10 minute walk into town.

Everything was perfect

Location - it is just close to the KTEL bus station, with a taxi rank just outside. A short walk up a gentle slope takes you to the centre of Heraklion, it is also on the city bus route for a number of other options to explore and discover this beautiful and historic city. Room - the beds are comfortable, the decor is beautiful and if you get a suite with a sea view you can watch the life of the port with the Athens ferries arriving and departing. As always Dimitris and Mary are helpful and welcoming. We have never had breakfast as we are normally up and about early for a travel connection or to explore Heraklion.

Nothing that we didn't like.

This apartment is brilliant. We were personally greeted by the friendly owner on arrival. The beautiful apartment awaited with complimentary wine and nibbles. This new unit is perfectly situated under a 10 min walk from the ferry terminal so is perfect for that early departure or late arrival. Security is fantastic and the bathroom perfect.Top quality linen and towels and a super comfy bed. Very well recommended !!!!

Those who are extremely light sleepers may be bothered by some traffic noise, but this is next to nothing during the night
