The most lovely part of my trip to Greece was staying here. The staff were super friendly and helpful (and funny!) and the hotel is just beautiful. Getting to stay in Domus Ariadne in Crete feels like a dream come true. The hotel is small but perfect, and has a beautiful artistic history. Even the rooms are named after different colours! The location is very good, just a few steps from the port, and it's around the corner from the incredible Archaeological Museum. I look forward to visiting again, it was just a lovely place to be.

The place was clean the staff were excellent and the location was great. The bed was comfortable, and it had everything.

The room was an oven , the air con was weak, and it took ages to cool down. The doors are linked to the air con, so if you open a door, the air con stops. The air con was too weak and slow, and then when it finally cooled, the air blows over the bed. so you have to turn it off. It needs a new system.The bathroom was an oven as the sun heats it up during the day so close the bathroom door when you leave, and the fridge does not cool things and don't get the top floor if you stay here.

I absolutely loved staying here. Giorgios the owner met me at the port and walked me up to the house. The house is perched at the very top of the town with spectacular views of the port town. The house was super clean and has a separate kitchen, large bedroom, and a very modern clean bathroom with great water pressure and hot water. The house is built into the rocks of the mountain so part of the main room's features. Morning you sit and have coffee on the porch overlooking Hydra town. Like other reviews you must be able to walk up to the house. It's a steep mountain side and it does take som effort but well worth it. After the first day I got very use to the walk and it was not so bad. I highly recommend this house because of its privacy, view, and overall design.

Amazing! The location is great, very close to the city centre and the harbour. The room was clean and cared for in every detail, the beds very comfortable. Giannis was very kind and helpful!

This was such a great find, stayed here for two nights at the start of our trip to Crete and one night at the end. Giannis was so attentive and helpful, he communicated so well and was fast to come back to us on any questions or requests. The rooms were spacious, modern and very clean, with little welcome details that added a special touch. Would absolutely recommend and would stay here again

BEAUTIFUL design in both the room and the hotel property!! Great “mini” kitchen area! Wonderful large balcony!

The hot water did take a little long to heat up and also we noticed that the sound from the room was very easy to hear outside. Thankfully it’s a small hotel and maybe everyone else was quiet so we didn’t hear noise inside the room. But one time I stepped outside and could hear my partner on the phone inside the room while I was all the way downstairs in the lobby. Maybe just in the room right above the lobby?

The design in the room is lovely! This place is located right next to the Archaeological Museum, so getting to and from work was a breeze. It's also a quick walk from the city center, which is especially nice. The owner slipped us some discounts for nearby coffee and food. Also, the heaters work really well in the rooms (it was very cold when we stayed). Nice little patio space outside my room. The showers are spacious and mold-free -- a real treat for the area! Would love to stay here again. Definitely. The whole property is gorgeous, very clean, and quiet (at least in the off-season!)

We arrived late and my room (Beige) had a step just inside the door, to the right. A heads up that its there would have been nice -- I wiped out trying to get into my room (and I'm young). Relieved the rooms weren't assigned the other way around. My colleague is in his 70s and a tumble would have been bad news for him. Otherwise, I'm sure sometimes people hang out on the patio outside the room where I stayed. Nobody did on this trip, so no big deal, but if I were exhausted and wanted to sleep, it might be a little annoying.

This is a lovely hotel located very near everything. It is very clean, the bed super comfortable. The room was stocked with everything you need for coffee, which was complimentary. Also a couple bottles of wine, beer and water that were for a fee. The rainshower shower was wonderful! It is a 9 only because, like many hotels, they have no parking on site. Dragging a suitcase through these narrow streets with narrow, uneven sidewalks is not easy. No fault of the hotel, though. Just a fact of life in Iraklion.

Felt a little soulless. I stayed 2 nights but didn't see any staff. My room was quite dark- looked out onto an internal vestibule. Felt quite enclosed.

Room was great, had a living room. PRIME location. Just tell drivers/guides to meet at the Heraklion Archaeological Museum and they'll immediately know. Felt very safe. Local affordable laundry within walking distance. Bus's going everywhere within walking distance. Service/front desk was friendly/helpful!
