A non-tourist, 'normal', location with a mix of local residents all around. 100m beyond it was a great sunset view down over the harbour. Excellent bus links 150m from the hotel take you to the centre in 10-15 mins. Good choice of local shops (bakers, etc,) and eateries. On the corner is an interesting (small) area of archaeological work, revealing house remains possibly, but there is no indication. If you are a plane spotter you won't be disappointed!

Well, have to add that if you get annoyed by plane noise you will find it difficult, especially in the summer. If you are a pedestrian, expect to walk to and from bus stop, shops, etc., (but there is much to look at in terms of the range of domestic architecture, older houses, modern blocks). Would personally have appreciated an electric kettle for making hot drinks in room.

Easy to reach on foot: walk 10 min from port (turn left at the circle, walk about 1km,then turn right uphill ,walk another150 m. 10 min walk from airport bus stop (by the Shell garage). Short stroll to the AB supermarket, Archeological museum and bus to Knossos. Beach is 2 km away, next one about 3 km away. Room was a good size, bed is soft, large balcony with the table and chairs. There were table and chairs inside the room as well and refrigerator was a big bonus. Bathroom was clean, strong hot water, plenty of fresh towels provided, also soap and shampoo. We asked for a blankets and were given. Aircon and TV were in a good order, we enjoyed watching movie with Harrison Ford. We requested breakfast and we served good percolated coffee, freshly toasted ham and cheese sandwiches, eggs, jam, juice, more toasted bread and excellent butter ( all at 5 euro for 2 persons).We were allowed to our room a few hours before stipulated time. Chrysoula (Kris) was a kindness itself. We could leave our luggage at reception upon checking out and use bathroom. Thank you very much for your hospitality!

Good place for a short stay. At a walking distance to the port so that's a plus. The room was clean and beds decent. We were about to take a ferry to Santorini for a one day visit and host kindly accepted to store our luggage at the hotel until we got back.

The hotel is very close to the airport so if you are a light sleeper maybe not a good choice. We were very tired so slept like babies though till it was time to catch the ferry.

We stayed 1 night as we had late arrival. Easy to get from airport by public bus and bus stop is very close. Nice clean room with balcony, even with side sea view, as discovered in the morning :) Breakfast was a bit suprize, (as there were no buffee) it was prepared personally and brought to the table:) The main road is quite away, so yo dont hear the traffic. We even havent heard plains flying over the head:)

I stayed here because it was a cheap bed close to the airport (30 mins walk) for an early flight. The hotel does represent good value.

The place is perhaps starting to get a little tired but this is an observation more than a complaint and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again in the same circumstances. Like a couple of places I’ve stayed on the island the WiFi seemed a bit weak, so I wonder if this is more of an infrastructure issue.

It wasn't fancy, but the price and quality ratio was adequate. I really enjoyed a spot to grab some excellent coffee near the hotel called "Steam".

The distance from the hotel to the old town includes going downhill and uphill so going on foot is even harder in the heat. Also, the noise of departing planes is quite loud, would not recommend choosing this place for sensitive people.

Quite a decent for a transit stay. Walking distance to the ferry and we found a great local restaurant nearby for a dinner.

You do hear airplanes (even in the night), but we still had a good night sleep.

Had a nice stay. Free wi-fi and air conditioning, read a review stating that the water coming from the shower was cold but it only happened to me two times out of ten. Could barely hear an airplane every now and then and it surely didn’t affect my sleep. You can reach the bus station, the city center and the supermarket by feet. Also there’s a McDonald’s open 24/24 in the nearby. It was past midnight when I arrived at the hotel since my flight was delayed and there was someone waiting for me.

Augustus was welcoming and accepted my request of switching the booking. I really thank him. Hotel is located near the center. They have a luggage store. Air con, fridge, comfortable room. Coffee on the terrace in the morning is possible. Value for money. Airport just 10 minutes away. Bus stop at the corner.
