At the check in, they asked us about the deposit, and we chose to give cash as deposit, but at the same time I was charged once again from my credit card, so that we gave a deposit twice

My wife and I stayed here. We appreciated the room upgrade! Everyone at the four seasons Budapest from the front desk to the restaurant and to the front door, was very nice and accommodating. We really enjoyed the view from our balcony and the treats in our room. We happened to stay here on my wife’s birthday. My wife eats vegan food, so ahead of our trip we found a vegan bakery for her to get cake (the bakery was called planet Milky Way next to the the great hall market). Unfortunately, the bakery was closed when we got there. And thankfully, the four seasons was able to make her a delicious vegan strawberry cake which made her day. We ate at the restaurant and the food was delicious. The waiters were very nice and helpful and aware of food allergies. The first Thursday of every month a ballerina and a violinist perform in the lobby. This happened to be my wife’s birthday, so after dinner we watched the ballerina and the violinist in the lobby and it made the night special. The room is fantastic. We would stay here again. Thank you to all the staff!

The Gresham Palace is a Budapest landmark in its own right; It is a stunning example of Art Nouveau architecture, located on the banks of the Danube, right across from the iconic Chain Bridge. The location could not get any better. The indisputable highlight of our stay, however, was the service. Every interaction exuded warmth and professionalism and elevated our stay to what seemed like an exquisite indulgence in luxury. From the doormen and reception staff to the restaurant maître di's, housekeeping, and in-room dining team, everyone was remarkably courteous and attentive.

Breakfast was not included for Bookings.com clients (I paid £400 a night with no breakfast, so who is ripping me off? Bookings.com or Four Seasons ?). The breakfast was 40 Euros, which is exorbitant and the quality for a 5*hotel breakfast was poor compared to the Conrad, GrandHyatt, Shangri-la and Reid’s. There were no breakfast fruit or chocolate muffins, loaf cakes or fruit flans, no choice of juice-orange only and only pre-cooked rubbery omelette slices-no choice of eggs. However, fortunately I was not charged for the breakfast.

The staff, most particularly those on Reception and the hotel management were amazing and could not have been more accommodating, anticipating our every need. We loved the location opposite the chain bridge with spectacular views of Buda and the Gresham building itself is incredibly beautiful. We also loved the spa and fitness facilities - great to benefit from these in a City centre hotel. This is our second visit and it certainly won’t be the last

Everything from friendly staff; perfect location to watch the fire works and to go to tye Chain bridge, Buda castle, St. Stephen basilica, and so on; facilities; and comfortability.

It is better if the hotel can provide the gift for kids. We have been to several five-star hotels and of course Four seasons in Geneva, they often give stuffed animals for kids. It is adorable and makes my kid feel like her home at the hotel. Finally, it is better when you can design the toilets in a seperate room or maybe a glass door. It is better and convenient.

The staff who were so kind , friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and this was throughout every department.Beyond anything we have experienced in other top quality hotels making it noticeable and appreciated. The facilities ( spa, restaurants, the room itself ( 5th floor with balcony) The cleanliness and generosity of service and supply of comfort. Appreciated our delicious cakes welcoming us and recognising our visit was for a special event.

One small suggestion. To consider limiting access for children to specific times and reiterate the purpose of the spa as an adult amenity .( tricky, I know, given the universal ambience of hospitality and welcome in this special hotel) Not the fault of the spa staff who carefully create a wonderful , invitational and relaxing ambience but one visit severely disrupted due to the presence of a family of 7 ( including4 children) The kids took over ( eating a meal, , talking and playing loudly) without much adult intervention.

The facilities and location were excellent. It had one of the nicest exercise and spa areas I’ve ever seen. But the real treat at the Four Seasons was the staff. In my almost 5 day stay here, I never encountered a staff member who was not willing to do whatever it took to make my stay comfortable. The whole staff was just absolutely pleasant to be around.

Having to to leave this hotel behind

Everything The location on Danube river was just spectacular looking out over Chain Bridge. I stayed on the 5th level at the front of the hotel in a river room which had a balcony, enjoyed great food, amazing cocktails, and the high tea served was an experience not to be missed. The Four Seasons Gresham Palace Budapest is outstanding and one of the finest hotels in the World.

Location was stunning for views and centrality. Beautiful decor. Generally very helpful staff. Christmas decorations were fabulous.

We are quite casual in our dress and my husband was once almost prevented from going into the bar. Feel guests should be able to dress as comfortably as they want.
