We had an excellent stay at Stories Hotel – it’s tucked away in a brilliant central location but still incredibly quiet at night. The rooms were stylish, clean, and comfortable, and the overall vibe of the hotel was modern with a touch of quirky charm. Staff were very helpful and even assisted in organising a dinner boat cruise on the Danube, which was a highlight of our trip – highly recommended!

One thing to note: check-in is strictly at 3:00 p.m. – they were firm on this, even when we arrived early. Also, the fire alarm unexpectedly went off at 2:00 a.m. on our first night, which was a bit of a shock 😩.

My friend and I have enjoyed our stay very much at the hotel over the weekend. The room was immaculate and spacious, although it faced the courtyard we had no problem with the noises or lights or anything during our stay which we were highly suprised to. We enjoyed that our room had the courtyard view, an open space area you would not often see in any hotels or other country. Service was also great and staff were helpful specially when they had allowed us to leave our belongings for the day after check out to continue our roam around Budapest.

It was nice that there were free small sweets, snacks and beverages by the reception but unfortunately the ice juicer slushy they had available was often empty when I came to take some. Im not sure if this was because they had it only available for specific hours during the day or it was because what they had on was always tasty that they run out! But regardless the hotel in itself was amazing.

this hotel is awesome! if you want to have a more elevated stay. we got the presidential suite (4 adults) and loved everything about it! the room has a jetted tub and sauna on the 3rd level. 2 large bedrooms one has an ensuite. 1 full bathroom to go with each bedroom and a powder room on the 2nd level. truly amazing.

interestingly our room had no phone to call down to reception if we needed anything. I don't believe information on how to contact housekeeping or reception was shared.

The hotel was excellent. The bedrooms were brilliant and unique everything you needed. The complementary fruit tea coffee water much appreciated. Sally, on reception, was brilliant the free wine and shot on arrival was much appreciated. Sally explained everything showed us a map of things to do which we did. Really enjoyed our short break. Also hotel very central for doing everything. .Will be back and will recommend it. Joe and marie.

The hotel was in an excellent location, the Junior suite had a sofa bed in the lower part and a mezzanine level for 2 adults. the bed very very comfortable and I had the best night sleep had in ages. The room was nice and dark. The hotel felt special, the courtyard of the hotel where you can book in for breakfast, lunch or dinner was stunning. I asked and apparently the plants are all real! It's a really unusual and beautiful place to have a meal. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

My partner and daughter were disturbed by outside noise/bars. I slept very well, but we were at the front of the hotel, so it's worth saying if you are a light sleeper it can be noisy, I think til about 1pm. You need to book in for breakfast as the restaurant attached to the hotel is very popular. On our first morning, there was no space. The sofa bed is short so wouldn't comfortably accommodate two people.

In my opinion the perfect place to stay in Budapest. Everything you wish to see in Budapest is only a short walk or a short walk to transport that will get you there. For value for money it may just be the best hotel I have ever stayed in. When I booked I thought it was just going to be a nice convenient place to stay but nothing special. When arriving the staff were fantastic and check in was so easy even though due to flight delays we were checking in in the early hours of the morning. The hotel was very clean and just has an ‘cool’ vibe. The room was much bigger than expected and had two levels. A fully stocked mini bar for which is far more reasonable than any other minibar I have seen. The shower and shower products were fantastic. It also had a living room area should you choose to use it. Not often one to leave a review but the stay was so pleasant and the staff were so nice I felt it would be a shame not to say.

I wouldn’t class these as problems but in wanting to give a balanced view my only two slight issues were the Towels provided were pretty small and the heating wasn’t able to be turned down enough for my liking however I am someone who likes to sleep in very cold temperatures so it would be unlikely to cause anyone else a problem.

The breakfast was delicious every day.
