Lovely accommodation quite in the center of Reykjavik. There was a little fridge in the room and a sink. Shared bathroom was right next door with all things needed and the was also a hot water pool downstairs which unfortunately we didn't have time to use, but good to know next time.

Although it was told that free parking is provided, it's actually quite challenging to find empty parking spot near the house. Also, I believe, it would be good to have a little kitchen corner on site for visitors.

The guesthouse was more than adequate for our needs. The accommodation was clean and well maintained. The tea and coffee facilities were great and the owners allowed us to store our luggage before check-in time. On the whole, the Baldursbra offers great value for money.

Very cozy room, spacious. Bed incredibly comfortable, after an exhausting trip it was like salvation for the body! The room clean and smelling fresh, due to the bedding, pillows very comfortable. We arrived late, used self check-in to check in, which was very intuitive. Although in the dark it was hard to find the panel to enter the code, but just turn on the flashlight on your phone. Despite the late arrival, the shared bathroom was very clean. I contacted the staff through booking and the conversation was very nice and helpful. It was a great stay for us, thank you!

Perfect location, lovely setting ( especially the hot tub in garden setting) 3 person room was great.

First visit, I received too many emails all with the same message- the details of self check in were great. But all the messages said room #2, and it was occupied! Occupant explained we had been moved to #8, which was fine but we were not informed prior to arrival. Second visit, again too many emails with same info- this time correct, room was ready- but no key! So had to phone for help, which was prompt, but wish it had been dealt with before our arrival ( in evening). Also only one of the group had a European phone and N American phones struggled to accommodate ( and would have been at great expense).

This accommodation really exceeded our expectations. Although the furniture may seem outdated at first glance, the entire room felt incredibly cozy and very pleasant. We had a room in the attic, and there was also a bathroom next to it. It was a truly beautiful place, and we really enjoyed our stay—so much so that we would have loved to stay longer than just one night. The accommodation is in a great location, close to the city center and the bus stop, and we found the price very reasonable for this area. I highly recommend it.

We loved the location and the communal feel of the property. The hot tub in the backyard was accurate and the room was clean. I loved how quiet the property was. It felt safe and was extremely close to many shops, coffee places, and the general downtown area.

The only part of the review that I would edit was that this location DOES NOT PROVIDE BREAKFAST. The booking listing is inaccurate. Part of the reason I booked this particular location was to save on breakfast. They do have mini-fridges on-site and offer coffee (but not creamer) at the guesthouse. You'll also have access to a kitchen and be able to cook there, but be prepared to scout out your own breakfast and budget for your own breakfast. Also,there is no express parking spot - but tons of street parking. Just be ready to parallel park.

Comparatively cheap for Reykjavík prices. Conveniently located close to the flybus bus terminal and a short walk to Laugavegur st, one of the main drags in town. We were able to leave our bags at the guesthouse on either side of a 4 day hike which was extremely convenient.

Aa product of the water for the entirety of Reykjavík and not just this guesthouse but the water really smells like sulphur.

Location was great, the upgrade to a bigger room was very appreciated, especially since we needed the extra space to allow for packing before going back home. Sharing recommendations for food nearby was also a nice touch :)

No hooks in the bathroom, would have been nice to have some of these for towels. We also didn't know what room we were staying in upon arrival, so we were hanging out in the hallways for a bit. Would have been nice to have this information upon arrival.

Comfy beds and pillows. Kettle in the room, sink in the room. Complementary tea and coffee with cups and a guest kitchen on the ground floor. Seating area to have a meal. Nice spacious room. Towles provided. Nice and quiet street. Well located for the BSI bus terminal and the university.

A tiny dustbin in the room wasn't big enough for a 4 night stay, it was a mini bathroom one, I had a lot of litter as I was self-catering and had a cold. A shared bathroom at this price isn't ideal. The other guests left hair all over the floor besides the shower and allowed the tissues in the bin to overflow on to the floor (not the hotel's fault but perhaps put a notice telling guests to clean up after themselves). No bar of soap in the room or liquid soap. A bit silly really.

We loved staying at this guesthouse. It was perfect location to the main downtown area, bus stops and cafes. The place was exactly what we needed and comfortable. There was coffee and tea for you to have when leaving in the morning and a clean kitchen area. The home was also so warm which was great to come back to after a long day trip! I would definitely stay again here!

The only thing I would suggest is an increase of cleaning in the bathrooms. Some of the other guests would leave hair ect in and around the shared room which was left for over two days. Or, considering how clean the rest of the place was it was being cleaned but the other guests were not caring.
