Nice open space with bedroom sitting room/kitchenette. Nicely furnished. Lovely town views and good light.Had a little balcony as well, but it was a bit cold for sitting outside when we were there. Comfortable bed and good black-out blinds for sleeping. Kitchenette and Nespresso machine were convenient. The breakfast buffet was very good and has a nice view of the outside. Short walk to restaurants and downtown Rejkyavik

Access with suitcases somewhat difficult with some doors and steps on the terrace to get to our room. Also need to go outside to get to our room. Luckily it wasn't raining when we went in and out with our luggage. There was no kettle for hot water, so we used a saucepan on the the cook top (maybe should have asked for kettle from reception!)

I liked the location, room, breakfast serving and just the hotel in general. Also love that there is a refrigerator and kitchen utensils in the room. We always stay at this hotel when we visit as long as it is available.

Only thing I can think of is the bathroom sink, which is a bit small in that specific room we stayed in (which would be difficult to do anything about, but some small shelves for toiletries may help aleviate that). Also sink has a slight drop towards right corner causing water from spillage to end up on floor. If it instead had a drop towards sink/wall it would be better (or add some guard around edge). Storage/organizational option in general for clothes could also be increased, but that is less of an issue. All in all, very happy. So those are the only two thing I can think of that could reasonably be improved.

Hotel was great. Every member of staff we met at reception was so friendly. Housekeeping staff were also friendly. Our room was lovely and a good size, with a very comfy bed. We were lucky to see a streak of the Northern Lights above the roof of our room as we returned to our room via the outside terrace walkway! It was only there for a very short time, and had we been in any other hotel we would have missed it, so we felt very fortunate, especially because you don't often see it clearly in the centre. The hotel's location is great — right beside the Parliament, close to the pond, lots of restaurants, bars, and sights. We'd stay here again.

Front of house staff were excellent and made you feel welcome (special thank you for locating me a kettle to use!), nespresso machine in room, loved the location right in the heart of the city (city very small but great spot to walk around from), bed was incredibly comfy and room was clean and stylish. Reception had tea, coffee and water available which was a nice bonus. Good selection at breakfast, would definitely come back again!

You can hear some noise from neighbour rooms or outside but this didn't bother me but it would be great for kettles to be automatically included with kitchenette facilities please

Excellent location close to restaurants and shops and downtown . Lovely park around the corner . Our family room was spacious with two separate areas one with double bed and the sofa bed in the living room area. There was a kitchen area with coffee machine and small hob and fridge. A microwave might be a good idea. Bathroom was perfect with walk in shower good pressure and heat for four showers. Didn't use the restaurant/bar. Good plugs for charging phones and good wifi connection. Heating was great.

We had to go outside from the lift on the third floor to access our room which was well lit but a little cold in the winter weather.

Very nice boutique hotel in the center of town. Charming old wooden structure next door to the lake, parliament, church and old town. Nice suite for three people and quiet for a good nights sleep. Very friendly and helpful front desk. Breakfast had good choices.

parking challenging as this is a restricted zone, but worked out in walking distance from hotel. breakfast was very nice, but staff seemed overwhelmed with guests and re-fills did not keep up. Asked for a flat white but staff thought I wanted wine :-) got a cappucino instead (paid as not part of bfast offering)

I absolutely loved my stay at Kvosin Downtown Hotel! From the moment I arrived, it felt like a home away from home. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect – proper hospitality. The room was fantastic – spacious, spotless, and beautifully designed with that sleek Scandinavian style. The little kitchenette was so handy, and the bed was unbelievably comfortable – exactly what you need after a full day exploring Reykjavík. And the location couldn’t have been better! Right in the heart of the city, close to Tjörnin, Parliament House, and loads of great shops and cafés. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of options to set you up for the day! Honestly, everything was flawless. If you’re planning a trip to Reykjavík, Kvosin is the perfect place to stay. I’ll definitely be back!

The location was superb. We left our car in an inexpensive carpark and did much of our exploration on foot. We were beside the lake, near the parliament buildings, across from the church (which kindly was NOT ringing its bells), and dozens of excellent restaurants. We drove to the sites further afield. We had selected the "Big Room 307" and were charmed by it. A separate bedroom, good bathroom, and a sitting room with sofa and bar stools at the counter. The breakfast buffet got us off to a good start each day. All the Reception staff were great with Martin setting the tone. Lovely to have met you all.

Really spacious room, which had both a living area and a kitchen/breakfast bar area. The hotel is really centrally located, yet despite this it is quiet and peaceful. Lovely hotel which has real character.

As a result of the hotel being so central, the parking area in front of the hotel is very popular and therefore there is no guarantee of a space being available. Reykyavik has four paid parking zones, with Zone 1 being (a) the most expensive and (b) allowing you to park for a maximum of three hours' at a time: the parking outside of the Kvosin Hotel is in Zone 1. However, within a five minute walk there are cheaper and/or free parking areas available. We discovered this on our third day and defaulted to these spaces.

The hotel is charming and very comfortable. We booked a “cozy room” which was clean but small. The staff is great, very friendly and helpful. The location couldn’t be better, it’s within walking distance of stores, restaurants and tour pick up spots. The breakfast buffet has a good choice of options both hot and cold.

The only slightly negative comment is about the size of the room, but that’s on us because we booked what is called a cozy room. I would recommend booking a larger room if possible, but if not it is still a terrific choice of hotel.
