I have to commend the receptionist on duty when we checked out, Peter, who was a real life-saver, when e left our passports in the in-room safe and only realised when we arrived at Keflavik airport! When I rang the hotel, Peter quickly got the passports and organised a taxi to ferry them to the airport. He then rang me back to let me know the taxi was en-route, which helped put my mind at ease, and the passports arrived well before boarding closed. As for the hotel itself, it's in an ideal location, the lobby, bar and breakfast restaurant are very attractive, and there's a good buffet breakfast with hot and cold options.

The room we had could use a little bit of updating/sprucing up. The room was very hot the first night and being used to rooms with thermostat controls, we didn't realise this was due to a radiator behind the curtains being left on at a very high temperature.

This property is advertised as a four star hotel but it is not. The rooms are tiny, although this is expected for Europe. However, our rooms were dusty and the wooden floor dingy and scratched up. The hairdryer and nightlight were broken. Curtains were hanging off hinges. We notified the hotel staff about the nightlight but nothing was done. Overall, this is a decent hotel, just not 4 stars.

This cute hotel near the center of Rejkavik has been our home for our 7 days trip to Iceland. The location is perfect, it's a quiet spot but at the same time if you walk for 1-2 mins you'll find shops and food places. This is 10 mins walk from the rainbow street and 5 mins to the water. Amazing location :) The staff are super helpful and friendly. 10/10 recommend! We got the buffet breakfast added to our whole stay, they have huge selections however they don't change what they serve so if you're staying longer, you might get tired eating the same thing.

Breakfast options doesn't change. Not much vegetable offers and the scrambled eggs taste a little bitter.

Check-in, customer service, breakfast, location were all excellent. Room was adequate and bed was comfortable. Bathroom was small but shower and amenities were good. Overall, very good, especially the location and the friendliness of all of the staff we encountered.

Our only negatives were that the room was uncomfortable warm with no way to adjust the temperature which made sleeping difficult. Our only remedy was to open the window which only opened a few centimetres so this didn't help...in fact, it made sleeping more difficult as this is a city-centre hotel and very noisy with the window open. We had to purchase earplugs after the first night to counter the noise.

Loved the common area, especially the breakfast room and the bar. Has character. Great location. Great breakfast, really impressive. Comfortable bed.

The room was ok, but kind of dark and a little depressing. Bathroom not good - no hooks to hang bath towels near the shower and impossible to keep water from leaking out of shower, which is very poorly designed. No outlet in bathroom. No convenient outlet to right of bed. One other outlet would not work with our adapter (which worked everywhere else).

The charge for storing one suitcase. In other hotels around the world it was free.

Sound control between rooms is average. Thought being charged to store a suitcase for 3 days between stays was a bit cheeky.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Reykjavik Centrum. It is in an absolutely wonderful location. We were there for Christmas, so there was a small Christmas market / ice skating rink about 1 minute away from the entrance. It is about a 10 minute walk to get to Laugavegar Street (shopping area) + the rainbow street. Tons of restaurants within walking distance as well. It is also very close to the Bus Stop #1, which is where a lot of tours pick up. The rooms facing the outside street can catch a bit of extra noise on weekend nights, but nothing too crazy. Room and bed were comfortable. Bathroom had all the amenities, but the shower is small! The breakfast is good and they have a lot of options available. I would definitely recommend this location for your stay in Reykjavik!

Small shower in the bathroom, and minimal noise that could be heard from the street on weekend nights. Other than that, we were very happy with our stay and would very much recommend this spot!

Breakfast: very good, enough, always somebody in the area available, fast cleaning table and refill for what was empty, good service there. Reception: friendly, helpfull, easy to connect with people. Hotel: you have also a good place to drink something, clean, enough space everywhere, good hotel location in centre of Reykjavik.

Loved how central the hotel was. The room was comfortable (although my mattress was slightly harder than I would have liked) and quiet. Staff were without exception efficient and friendly, and everyone's English was fantastic. Breakfast was more than adequate, and we enjoyed it every day.

Had thought that there would be a cafe in the hotel where we could have had perhaps soup or a sandwich for lunch, but there is nothing after breakfast (unless you buy a packed lunch to take with you). Not a huge problem given that there are lots of eating places within walking distance.
