Very comfortable mattresses. Super clean room and bathroom. Staff was kind, check in and out went smoothly and quick. Kitchen staff cleaned tables/refilled the food and drinks immediately. The hotel spa was well facilitated, changing rooms were spotless. Free parking. 24/7 reception

The breakfast could have been improved by not using egg powder for the omelette. I understand it may be difficult get enough real egg for all the guests but that was a weird experience. The bacon was too dry but overall each breakfast was enjoyable with a big variety and for a reasonable price we paid. Other thing is the Hotel Spa. We thought the hot tubs will have massage heads and making bubbles for the better relaxation but they are literally just tubs filled with hot water. Maybe both were switched off or malfunctioned but there were no bubbles at all.

The location was great, just 300 metres off the Ring Road, and close to the town centre. There was a supermarket, cafes and restaurants within walking distance. There was also a free car park for the guests. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet, and had everything we needed for a short stay. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean, and toiletries and towels were provided. WiFi worked fine. The breakfast was tasty and varied. The staff was friendly and helpful. There was a 24-hours reception desk, so we had no problems with late check in and early check out.

Please be aware that the number of parking spaces in the hotel car park is limited.

Very clean and spacious room. It was mostly quiet. We ended up staying inside the hotel for 24 hours while I was battling a touch of sickness and I healed quickly with plenty of rest! The staff was super helpful with tips for the surrounding area and even dried my clothes when our towel drier wasn't working.

OK so I'm from New England, USA. It's kinda cold where we live and we kinda like it that way. No one told me about how hot it would be inside all the buildings and rooms. Yes you can have it as hot as you want....but you cant turn it off!!!!!🤣🤦‍♀️ thankfully this hotel had a fan that we put in the windows to get some cool air 👍

The location of this hotel in Selfoss is great - just a few minutes walk down to the New Old Town which has plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. The room itself was spacious and modern with a comfortable bed. Breakfast had a large variety and was absolutely delicious! They also offer a Northern Lights wake up call and we got to see them while in Selfoss.

They only provide one (very soft) pillow each. There was one spare pillow in the wardrobe but that wasn’t much good when there was two people.

We stayed at South Coast in March 2024 and had such a good experience, we decided to return, and it was just as great the second time! The rooms are spotless, the bedding is fresh and comfy, and the bathroom has a nice spacious shower. Also the walls seem soundproof; we never heard a thing from other guests. Breakfast is delicious with plenty of options, and the staff is friendly and professional. Would definitely stay again!

This hotel is great. It is new, clean, modern and the rooms are well equipped and designed with everything you need. The showers are fantastic, there are USB ports by the bed, the TV is large with lots of channels, the room was always cleaned and was well maintained and it has a nice atmosphere. The breakfast is pretty good too! The best thing about this hotel though is the location! We were a little surprised when we found out that it didn’t have its own restaurant but… it doesn’t need it! the location of Selfoss is great and there are so many lovely places to eat nearby at great prices. we highly recommend the Old Dairy Farm as we ate here every night of our trip because of its easy-going, street food style restaurants where there is loads to choose from. Also it’s a fabulous place to start a Golden Circle trip adventure. This really was our best stay in Iceland and would love to come back!

The breakfast on the final day of our stay was disappointing because (we think) of a large group that came in on the night before. The staff in the restaurant weren’t exactly eager or proactive enough to have more food prepared to come out for the rest of us guests. Although, we did see a huge delivery come in as we were checking out so maybe we were just unlucky? Also the gym and spa was closed.

Selfoss is a good gateway to the southern coast of Iceland as well as the Golden Circle. The town has all of the basics within walking distance of the hotel such as a grocery store, pharmacy, public library etc. They are also creating a new “old town” with a lovely food court, shops, etc.

It was very warm in our room. We did have a fan which helped tremendously.

Hotel was clean, newer with updated facilities, large room with seating, closet, big bathroom with a towel heater. Location was super close to a fun food hall and city center that is being built up currently (10.2023) Breakfast was one of the better we had during our travels through Iceland with lots of options (scrambled eggs and bacon!) and a good coffee machine.

Parking was limited behind the building or right in front of the hotel. Staff at the front desk seemed to be pulled away a lot. Thought the spa was included in our stay but access was only granted at an additional cost.

Very convenient location, very close to Selfoss town centre and the food hall nearby which had lots of excellent food options. Plenty of parking space when we arrived. Decent-sized spacious room, bathroom had a nice shower and beds were comfortable. Good quality breakfast which included hot food options.

Pillows were of poor quality and we had to really ask the hotel staff to change it for us after they initially dismissed it.

Location was great! Able to walk to bars and great restaurants, including a couple high end spots (took a minute to find them as their doors were on the lower level of the outside plaza) all within a couple blocks. Staff was very nice! Breakfast was good (altho everywhere we had free breakfast the eggs were not great), homemade breads and their homemade granola was amazing! Nice they had a tiny bar right on site.
