The staff are friendly, there is the shift manager (I don't remember his name unfortunately) I was in dire need of batteries for my father's blood pressure monitor, they suddenly ran out, and there was no way to find them in the nearby kiosks, so he kindly searched for the batteries in the online store application on his mobile and ordered them for me and they arrived in a short time, he really blew my mind with his generosity and initiative left a good impression on me with his cooperation and humanity.

This is one of the few "old school" hotels remaining in South Mumbai and is an excellent place for a few days or longer. Exuding both its colonial design while meeting contemporary standards. The location cannot be better--a quiet leafy neighborhood, one of the few that development has not touched and so is a lovely place to walk around during the day and night. The shops and restaurants of Kala Ghoda are a short walk. The rooms are large and well-maintained. The staff are incredibly nice and helpful--and available 24 hours.

The breakfast is India-centered so do not expect a smorgasbord of Western and Indian foods. The food is good and plentiful. If you require strong coffee, look elsewhere!

The standard breakfast was fresh & sufficient to sustain the tourist or business filled activities until late afternoon. Staff were attentive at the breakfast. The Grand Hotel is a gem in the midst of a Government precinct & port & thus is secure. There are charming eateries, coffeeshops, boutiques & art galleries in the neighbourhood, and they are all at walking distance. The triangular atrium and art deco architecture was charming! Hats off to the founder a Parsi Elder whose vision is continuing efficiently and obviously the hotel prides care and hospitality.

RO water facility in each floor would be an essential addition.

The location is peaceful, offering a nice break from the hustle and bustle of the city. At first glance, the photos made the rooms seem smaller than I anticipated, but to my pleasant surprise, they were much bigger than expected. The decor was excellent, adding a touch of elegance and comfort to the space. Interestingly, I picked this hotel based on a recommendation from my father-in-law, who used to stay here in the 80s while passing through Mumbai on his travels between the Middle East and home. His fond memories of the place definitely influenced my decision, and I’m so glad I followed his advice. What’s more, I’ll be returning to this hotel on future visits, and so will my friend—who, by the way, has always been critical of my hotel choices. This time, he was impressed!

Breakfast was good with very good staff. Reception helpful. Room service timely and efficient. Room was superb, extremely clean modern decoration and great bathroom. Vey comfortable. The hotel is in a good area that felt safe. You will have a bit of a walk to get to other areas, but Uber is your best best for getting around if you can't find a cab outside, although there are usually many waiting. Door man is very helpful. Im very happy to recommend. Not so suitable for young families as there is a steep staircase and an old style lift.

Great location, the hotel has charm and faded splendour. There is only a small sitting area in reception, the food was good but the dining room was lacking in character. The staff really went out of their way to be helpful and could not have been better. We saw a pair of nesting guruda eagles 20m from our balcony, a pair of hornbills and a coral parakeet.

The top floor rooms were accessed by a narrow stairway, water pressure in the shower was not good, and the air con unit old and noisy.

The staff were particularly friendly and accomodating. Shyan the manager ensured all my needs were swiftly met, as did all the staff. I enjoyed how large the room was and the fact the hotel was in a quiter part of town. The hotel was very clean throughout and was only a 20 - 25 minute walk to the gateway of India. I shall be more than happy to stay here again upon returning to Mumbai Good Job, Well done !! :-)

You couldnt always get hot water for a shower.

The services and staff are amazing. Location is perfect, with easy access to public transport and many eateries at walking distance. Would definitely recommend for family or solo trips.

The rooms are still using very old window ACs which do not do the cooling as good as new wall ACs. These should be replaced. Rest all facilities are perfect. The Standard room could be slightly bigger but that's not a problem for solo travellers.

Location very calm, staff most of them very friendly specially a guy that was working nights and was with a permanent smile. They attend you really well and I recommend it 100%. I love the building and the inside. If I’ll come back will stay there for sure.

The only 2 things I didn’t like is they make you pay everything once you arrive (never happened to me before anywhere in the world, not even in Delhi that we went on May , so they should do something about that) and the restaurant ultra mega expensive for food quality (very poor). Apart from that everything perfect

We had a wonderful stay at Grand Hotel! The beds were very comfortable, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great, and we really enjoyed the convenient location.

The only downside is that the hotel is a bit run down, with some facilities feeling a little outdated. However, we understand that renovations are in progress.
