Perfect location in beautiful and quiet area of the island. Able to snorkel and see turtles from the beach infront of the property. At the time of of my visit the front / beach side was undergoing an upgrade, the work was quiet and fast and the the transformation showing the potential of how it will be when finished. New ownership is bringing very positive change to an already lovely place. Typical bungalows with large comfortable beds, cleaned daily. Some a little dated - but spacious, clean and each with drinking water to refill you own bottles. A wonderful place to stay and believe it will get better with the new owner bringing an upgrade to an already lovely place. Wonderful friendly staff.

The only challenge I found was that apart from watermelon, I couldn't eat anything on the menu for breakfast, being gluten and dairy intolerant.

The staff and the owner are very friendly and they take such a good care of me when I'm here. I feel like part of their family. The check-in is very smooth and the room is clean. Breakfast is also included and there are lots of options to choose from, plus you can have it by the pool. Very relaxing. I also love how the location is right by the beach, perfect for snorkeling and swimming. Thank you so much for the perfect stay!

I spent a full week at Alibaba Bungalows, and honestly… I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. First of all, the staff is absolutely incredible. Everyone is so kind, welcoming, always smiling, they really make you feel at home. A very special shoutout to Aloha at the front desk, who was truly a ray of sunshine every single day. His kindness and warm energy made such a difference. I stayed in two different rooms during my stay: a standard room at first, then a bungalow. Both were spotlessly clean, cozy and super comfortable. Of course, the bungalow is a level up: more spacious, beautifully decorated, with a lovely terrace, and well worth the extra price if you can afford it. The pool is clean and well-maintained, perfect to relax in after a beach day. Speaking of which: the beach is literally right in front of the hotel, just a few steps away, super convenient if you want to enjoy the sunrise or go for a quick dip. The restaurant is also great, with tasty food and a lovely vibe. I always felt well taken care of, with genuine smiles and helpful service from everyone. In short: this place has everything, comfort, charm, and heart. I’m so grateful for the peaceful and happy week I spent here. I’d come back in a heartbeat. Thank you to the whole Alibaba team because you made Gili Air unforgettable. 🌴✨

There are a lot of things to like about Alibaba Bungalows. Firstly, Simone, the owner, and the staff, are all very friendly and super helpful. The first room I stayed in was one of the newer non-traditional ones and it was comfortable and pleasant. The second room was a traditional one which was not renovated but I believe that all the rooms were being renovated the day after I left, so that is probably completed by now. The pool is great, breakfast was ok, and it's a great place to meet other travellers or hang out with lots of Italians! (Simone is Italian). The location is great and I highly recommend staying here.

The only aspect I didn't like is that sound travelled very clearly from the adjacent room. That is very common in Indonesia, though, in my experience. I don't know if the renovations will have addressed that issue. I'm a light sleeper and ear plugs helped.

Fabulous collection of Bungalows. Situated on the beachfront where you can just walk off the beach and into beautiful snorkeling. Thoroughly enjoyed the food and cocktails from the bar/restaurant on site. The best thing of all...... THE STAFF!!! Aloha and his team are amazing, so kind, friendly and helpful. Can not recommend this place highly enough.

If I had to think of something I didn't like..... I'd be struggling. It ticked all the boxes for us and how we like to travel and stay.

I already stayed in Alibaba Bungalows before. I loved it so much that i had to come back another time. First of all, the staff is so nice. They will always ask you if everything is okay and if you need anything they will immediately take care of it. Especially Langgeng Aloha, he is always making sure you are good every day. As a solo female i feel really safe at Alibaba Bungalows. They are trustworthy with your stuff also. The rooms are really nice and very clean. They have a watertank for you to drink, you can make tea, you can have a hot shower and its very spacious. They have a beautiful pool with palm trees and lounge chairs to relax on. Breakfast is included so every morning you will have very good breakfast with pancakes or eggs with fruit. You can do laundry here, get drinks at the reception, they have bikes you can rent and also snorkels if you want to see the turtles. The environment around Alibaba Bungalows is also good, there many restaurants nearby and good places where you can lay on the beach. But also the island is not too big so you can just bike anywhere.

Friendly staff, good simple breakfast. We liked the pool. Fantastic location on the calm side of the island close to a great snorkeling beach, many restaurants to choose from and lots of spas for massages as well as beach clubs. Good WiFi. Good value for money!

Nothing much. The rooms were basic but good enough as we spent most of our time on the beach. The rooms that we got were directly in front of the pool so if you want more privacy request another room. Showers are with salt water as is common for Gili Air.

This is a lovely little bungalow complex in a great location on Gili Air. Snorkelling is possible from right outside, but you need to go either left or right a bit to find channels through the coral at low tide. It's easy walking (or biking) distance to the busier pier area, but in a quieter part of the island, with some great places to eat and drink nearby. The Pituq Cafe and Rising Sun both do excellent food and have amazing seafront views. All the staff at Alibaba were friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. There was an issue with our aircon on arrival, and they had the whole unit replaced for us within a couple of hours. Our bungalow was clean and comfortable, and it was a bonus to have hot water in the shower. The pool area was lovely and clean, and breakfast was decent.

The bungalow itself could do with a little maintainance and general tlc - the door locks were a temperamental, and the bathroom door slid open again unless you latched it just right. The fridge worked well, but is in need of a deep clean.

The room was spacious, with great décor and clean bed sheets. Everything was new and looked great because the new owner Simone had just remodeled my room. The breakfast was delicious, with a great variety of options! All the staff are super attentive and especially Aloha is the best, he will make sure to help you with all of your questions, like transport, etc. Nothing was too much trouble. The property is right in front of the turtle spot and I’ve seen turtles each time i went snorkeling. I also enjoyed the pool a lot. The rest of the property is calm and cosy and they have many spots to relax. You can also rent a bike if you want to go explore. I would definitely recommend going here for a relaxing and fun vacation on Gili Air.

Enjoyed my stay here. Staff is very friendly and helpful. It's got a pool. It's right by the beach. Really liked the location. Bed was big and comfortable, and has a mosquito net. Room was cleaned every day. Drinking water in the room. Hot shower. Good air conditioning. Liked the breakfast.

Just from an aesthetic point of view, the room could use some decoration. But in terms of comfort, everything was fine.
