Nice bungalow in front of the Turtle beach where you can snorkel. The place is well situated, with a beautifully arranged garden. The pool is clean and they take care of it. The bungalow was spacious, with a mini fridge, a kettle and 2 king size beds. The bathroom is rustic but clean and has hot water, with well functioning toilet. Yes the water is salty but that is to expect on an island. A/c was a bliss with the hot weather. There’s a place to chill with a sofa and hammock on the private terrace. Good breakfast with tea/coffee. The staff is always close by, very polite and they always help. They are very responsive when you need anything.

At this price, nothing I didn’t like. Decided to extend my stay because I felt at home. Some people complain at this price and I don’t understand them. I’ve travelled for 7 months and it’s the only place I wanted to stay for a long time.

Good value clean room with dedicated waterfront hang out areas. Comfy bed. Great snorkeling right out front. AC unit works really good. Good value shop right next door for snacks & water. Would stay again!

Bit noisy at night (generally quiet by 10). Sometimes water tap not work on first attempt (couple times on and off gets it going). WIFI not the best. Breakfast doesn’t include proper coffee (but really close to great coffee spot Sunrise Cafe which opens at 6am).

The location is amazing. Sunset and turtles every morning with a small beach. The view is beautiful. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The room cleaned on request and always provided a fast response. Breakfast was good and swimming pool clean. Facilities worked well. We have returned 3 times to this property.

Rooms would benefit with a fridge and safe

The location was amazing, perfect sunrises every day, even the cloudy days. The staff were so helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Yes, as the other reviews state, there are fancier places on Gili Air, but this place somehow succeeded in making our stay one of the best experiences in a long time. No fuss, no drama, says what it does on the tin basically. And smily, happy staff every day make a huge difference.

The salty water in the shower, played havoc with my long hair, such a privileged problem right? but I would've brought more conditioner if I'd known so now I'm spreading the knowledge

The location on the beach in a quiet area of Gili air was excellent. The cottages are basic but with a good bed and pillows and mosquito net. The breakfast was fine for me and nice to have outside with a view of the beach. All in all, it is not a fancy resort but definitely adequate for a beach vacation.

The facility advertises hot water, but it was not easy to get. I had it 3 of 6 days after much asking and run around about it by staff. As others have written, it is so hot in Gili, a cold shower is not the worst, but I believe in truth in advertising.

Great location on the beach with beautiful sunrise. Nice place with good breakfast each morning. Loved having some of the cats keep coming on the balcony as we’d leave them out cold water in the heat!

The pool was great, beds comfortable, great location, close to restaurants and bars and the beach. Staff was great too. Really enjoyed the breakfast.

You can tell it needs a little TLC but that wasn’t a big deal to us. Minor maintenance issues that need to be addressed.

We loved our stay at Gusung Indah! We stayed in the deluxe room with ocean views. The room was clean, shower had hot water, bed and pillows were comfortable, air con worked well. The staff was amazing so attentive and friendly, always smiling and up for a conversation about their culture and tips of what to do in island. Breakfast was good same as you’ll get everywhere we’ve been in Indonesia, hot drink plate of fruit and a choice of banana pancakes or eggs. The property was well maintained and they also have a restaurant/bar you can get snacks or lunch in the swimming pool. The place is close to the sunset point and lots of restaurants, it’s right in front of the beach. It’s on the other side of the harbour só about 20 minute walk when you get off the boat.

We have been staying here over many years, which is the best recommendation. Local family owners are very friendly and welcoming, staff are also friendly and helpful. Breakfast is very good and the restaurant has good food, value for money with ocean view. We really enjoy this quieter area of the island. Excellent snorkelling out the front, with turtles every day.

Great value, had hot water and good air conditioning. Clean spacious rooms and super friendly staff who are always very helpful and knowledgable about the island ⭐️ the bar and restaurant also has a great vibe in the evening. It’s on quieter side of the island and right next to the beach and good spot for seeing turtles! I will stay here again if I come back to Gili Air!
