Excellent location, right in front of the beach, far enough from the centre that it's not noisy, but still very accessible. Breakfast was nice

The services and amenities felt a bit cheap for what we paid. Low quality towels, welcome drink is Coke or Sprite, the soap in the bathroom is from plastic sachets, which are bad for the environment...

Location directly in front of an amazing snorkeling reef (30m out) was brilliant. We saw at least one turtle every time we went out. I was expecting basic accommodation, given its an island. Being in a family suite, I was pleasantly surprised with the large space we had and although not 'sparkling', it was reasonably clean. Included breakfast was limited but adequate and very nice. Very happy that staff were willing to accommodate dietary allergies (Coeliac). Tidal pool is VERY deep (first pool my husband hasn't been able to touch the bottom), with a shallower shelf for the shorter/younger ones. Staff were friendly, kind and helpful with questions and help when needed. Free to borrow snorkels was a lovely touch. Reasonably priced bike and scooter rental. Very responsive owners when asking questions prior to arrival. Would return without hesitation.

No cleaning or bin emptying during our 4 night stay. Had been told that bins would be emptied if we left them outsides.. If we were staying any longer, would have asked. Basic amenities (large bathroom with leaking taps every time they were used). 1 set of 'sample size' shampoo, conditioner, and soap. No hand towels. Had to ask for beach towels (which is fine), which were obviously discoloured/old bathroom towels. They weren't stained or torn, just not what you expect when you ask for a beach towel (and it beats me bringing my own!). Although warned that the track to the accommodation had some 'sandy' parts that can be troublesome for suitcase wheels, didn't understand HOW MUCH of the track was deep sand!

The property and the bar are great, the host and the staff were amazing! They helped us with every question, need and requests! Also good locations to the restaurants and bars with quiet evenings. Note about the beach: it is very great for cooling and chasing turtles and corals, but the tide is very low in the afternoon. Sandy only in the beginning, since there is a coral reef sorrounding thr island. Okay for morning swims and evenings though.

It gets quite hot in the night and the A/C in our unit was very loud. Beds are not that comfy. Even though the houses are well built they sre pretty basic.

The location was perfect right on the beach. Lovely shaded sun lounges on the beach with great snorkeling straight out the front. Breakfast menu was the same as everywhere in Bali/Lombok. Many don’t have freshly made juices though and the ones here were beautiful. Also the toast made from their own sour dough bread was a real morning treat. The owner Tony was a perfect host with friendly helpful staff. Great that you could refill your water bottles. Also had one of the best massages in Lombok.

The hotel is located in the “sunrise” side of the island in a quiet area, opposite to the beach and close to local restaurants and shops. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the staff is really pleasant. We met the friendly owners who told us the history of the site and future plans for the hotel and the area. You can choose to book a snorkelling trip to see various spots in the 3 islands or if you want to do it at your leisure, you have great spots a few meters each side of the hotel. The island is small but with plenty of choice. The “sunset” side has more activity in terms of bars and music, and is just 15 mins walk from the hotel, but the hotel has a nice bar too, with drinks at very good price. The area around the harbour is more touristic, but without loosing the traditional touch. We loved our stay in Gili and Juliantos, a shame we could not stay longer.

The whole laid back vibe of this hotel. From the location to the sea, to sitting on the cane chairs watching the sunrise over Mt Rinjani..to the pineapple juices at breakfast prepared by a smiling and engaging happy staff. The bar with Arif was the hub of conversations overlooking the sea view a mere 10 metres from the sand. The sea water pool! It was divine. No chemicals and horrible chlorine smell.

Nothing. It was a totally relaxing 8 day holiday.

Juliantos by the Sea is a clean, comfortable and safe hotel. The beach is just ten steps outside the hotel, and we were granted the pleasure of watching the glorious sunrise every morning. We got the opportunity to see turtles swimming around the area near the beach! The staff are all friendly and ready to help. We were privileged to meet the hospitable owners, Tony and Julia, who made us feel like we have been friends for a long time. Rooms are spacious, bright, airy and well-ventilated. There is the availability of a ceiling fan and air-con. The hotel spa is lovely. They granted our seven-year-old son’s wish for a full-body massage, and he napped! If you are thirsty, TJ’s bar by the beach serves a wonderful range of cocktails and delectable fruit juices. Honestly, this place is blissful. It is not trying too hard compared to other hotels that we saw. I like the spacious property layout, so it doesn't feel clustered, and the outside area is beautifully manicured. Although they serve a simple breakfast, it is still wholesome enough to satisfy you. Try their banana pancake and drizzle it with rich chocolate sauce! It is so addictive! Oh, and they have lots of puzzles to play with and even books to keep you occupied while you relax on the beach lounge chairs listening to the waves roll in. We will be back again for sure!

Our experience in the hotel made us enjoy ourselves so much that we got sad when it was time to check out and go home. 😆

Right on the beach where you can snorkel to the reef and see corals and a wide variety of fish (and turtles if you’re very lucky)! Perfect location - I walked everywhere from here. Clean and cozy, exactly as described. Nice bar on site with free water refill for guests. Good breakfast (not buffet but choice of savory or sweet plates): I loved the fruit, smoothies, and banana pancakes! Room cleaned daily, but towels are changed only upon request (which makes sense since most guests only stay a couple of days). The pool was great to have when the tide was lower and I found it very eco-friendly to use sea water! Lastly, the staff was very kind and helpful

Small note: I didn’t have a safe in my room. I found the place perfectly safe, but I’m sure the staff could have arranged a secure box if asked.

Juliantos IS the island feel. It is located on the less busy eastside of Gili Air, which means you have all the benefits of the island-life, minus the noise from the night life. You'll find restaurants very close by either way you are going on the beach It is a small place right on the beach.When going in the water, swim out and just float with the current down the beach and you'll find the most beautiful coral and fish life - including turtles - on Gili Air. When done admiring, swim back to the beach, walk back to Juliantos, grab a refreshment at TJs, the beach bar, and repeat. In the evening, you have a short walk before you find the best spots for the beautiful sunset. Alternatively, stay at the beach bar and enjoy the happy hour, and - if you're lucky - Tony playing the guitar. The host Tony, as well as the rest of the staff, made us feel welcome right from the beginning, with an easygoing approach without losing focus on the practical matters of a hotel stay. When our family fell ill, all the staff took care of us.

Great location beside the beach. Great, simple breakfast included. Rooms basic but fair for price. Massage place in front very good and good prices. Plenty of restaurants around.

Snorkeling equipment, and loungers by the beach could use an upgrade. Plenty of options for hiring snorkeling gear and bikes close by.
