The location is perfect, only 5mins walk from the port! I would recommend you do NOT ride the horse carts, don’t support animal cruelty, just carry your own luggage. The staff are all incredibly kind and helpful with anything you need. The rooms are a little worn, but have everything you need and are clean. Also the front sun loungers are reserved for guest which I loved.

The water pressure was weak. Also on the last day there wasn’t any water, probably got fixed but the only thing I can think of.

Location was amazing ! Breakfast with beach views on the sand . Staff were amazing and friendly , cared for your every need . The food was delicious , best on the island Best cocktails on the island , Air con wasn’t great , I’d your a hot sleeper , kind of a basic room for the price , The restaurant and surroundings were defiantly a highlight . Would 100% go back

Air con Rooms need for shelfs / open storage

The property was beautiful in fantastic settings. Small sweet looking bungalows. We stayed in the family room. A bit worn in places which gave it a rustic feel, which we didn’t mind at all. There was a swimming pool where the children could play. The bar and restaurant area was superb, with beach seatings. Very atmospheric with tasty food and amazing cocktails. We would recommend the ‘Green Chili Martini’ at Sunset. You are literally ‘staying’ on the beach, 30 second to walk from your bungalow. The staff were super friendly and made us feel very welcome at all times! The location was great, with a few other options of restaurants, bar and a shop. We would definitely recommend Mowie’s!!

Stayed for 4 nights could have stayed longer. A very popular well managed establishment that gets booked out well in advance,great staff,good vibe

Leaving

This is the best place you can stay in -Gili air! Property is located at10 min walk from the port;(yes,you may carry you baggage, you don’t need to pay 10usd to get the horse ride for such a distance,useless you want to);the 3 major advantages are:location-bet beach-nicest water-nice sunset view; great food-maybe the best we have had in our entire trip to Indonesia;nice and clean room-basically on the beach and last nut not least great staff; we walked around the island and i could not recommend any other place;on the beach there is a little debris so you would need some water sandals to be able to get in, but other than that great!also the accommodation has a nice pool-the pool is actually nicer than in the pictures.

The location was beautiful, the room was neat and tidy and had what we needed. The staff were all very friendly, and the food and coffee was very good.

We stayed over the New Year's Eve period for a week, one of the bars a bit further up had an all night party which went to around 8am with pumping bass/techno music which felt like it was in our room. The following nights were a little quieter, but I could still hear some music from the local bar and fireworks most nights. This isn't the fault of Mowies at all, but if you're a light sleeper this may be an issue.

Absolutely awesome spot on the Island as so handy to the Harbour but along the beach enough to feel out of the hustle of people coming and going. Directly opposite the beach with a lovely outdoor dining and sunny lounging area. The Gorgeous hut was just perfect and the bed was super comfy. The outdoor deck with beanbags was a great lil spot to unwind after a swim. The highlight of our stay was the incredible food!!! We ended up not eating anywhere else but Mowies as we just knew no where else would be able to top the most delicious food comparable to any top restaurant anywhere!!! Staff were all so helpful and friendly. If travelling to Gilli Air this place would be my pick everytime

There was nothing I didn’t like

To be honest, nearly everything was perfect in our eyes. The room (and especially the bathroom) was beautiful. The staff was exceptionally nice, welcoming and service minded. The quality of the restaurant was very very high, both in terms of taste and presentation. We had our best food here, and we tried quite a lot at other places. The beach was the best on the island, the pool was great as well.

WiFi could have been a bit better but it is always safest getting a cheap local sim anyway. Very small issue.

Beachfront location with sunset views. Comfortable, good quality sunloungers, parasol & towels reserved for guests. Excellent food & drinks - all reasonably priced. Great staff. Background beach music was good & created a “beach club vibe”. The whole place came alive for sunset - obviously one of the best spots to be at that time of day.

The room was a bit tired and needed a bit of love. Aircon didn’t perform particularly well, low water pressure at the sink and shower. Internet went down for a couple of days which may have been an issue for some (but not us)

We had the absolute best stay at Mowie‘s during our honeymoon. Not only that it is one of the most peaceful places ever visited, right at the ocean front with sundown view… This place comes along with a perfect restaurant and kitchen chef, absolutely everything was delicious, the salads, tuna tartar etc (everything fresh and clean!) Mixing menus from breakfast to dinner throughout out the day wanna let you explore everything! Also the cocktails are out of this world. All of this is topped with outstanding service and the super kind people, a real kind team having an eye on every detail and providing you the perfect customer experience. Thank you guys!
