The rooms are cosy, and just sitting on the deck in front at night and enjoying the view of the illuminated pool and garden is just beautiful. It's private and peaceful, and out to the left, you walk 100 meters, and that point is perfect for sunsets 🥰 The staff is friendly, and breakfast is a treat

Having travelled for many years all over the world, i can finally say that the authenticity of the Italian food at Dolcemare was spectacular: always fresh, high quality and made with care. The pool is a dream — perfect for unwinding at any time of day. The staff is warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. The owners are masters of hospitality and truly go above and beyond to make your stay unforgettable. If you want to pamper yourself and fully enjoy everything Gili Air has to offer, book at Dolcemare. You won’t be disappointed. This place has everything you need for a perfect island getaway.

Nothing. Everything was absolutely perfect!

We had a nicely appointed room that was serviced every day, it also had a great outdoor area with a large shaded daybed - ideally for lounging, a fridge and a clothes dryer. The pool and grounds were lovely and everywhere was kept spotlessly clean. There were lots of thoughtful touches in the bathroom (an aftersun face mask and a hair treatment along with all the usual bits and pieces. The breakfast was delicious with a great choice, all freshly prepared. We loved the location, only a minute from the beach but up a side road to keep things quiet and private.

Dolcemare is a family run facility. We enjoyed that the resort was located in a quiet part of the island but still centrally located. There is a mosque on the island as it is predominantly Muslim community and you can hear the call to prayer but it is something you must bear in mind when traveling and respect other religions. Since I am a light sleeper I did hear it in the morning, however it didn’t bother me. My partner never even stirred. Plus the resort provides guests with earplugs should they wish to use them. They also have a restaurant on the premises and we enjoyed the free breakfast. It is not a buffet breakfast but you have plenty of options to choose from and everything is freshly made. Since I am sensitive to gluten I especially enjoyed that they provide a gluten-free option which is not widely available in Indonesia. We also had dinner at the restaurant and the portions were delicious and generous. All in all, the staff was friendly and the island was a welcome change to the hustle and bustle of Bali. Gili Air and Dolcemare make you feel welcome and let you enjoy the chill vibes of what we imagined Bali might’ve been a couple of decades ago. 10/10 can’t wait to return!

This villa is located very close (seconds walk) to the best beachbar with sunbeds and shisha on the Gili Air. Its the rare place on Gili islands where you can swim comfortably without special shoes!! The beach looks amazing during the high tide. Usually high tide is from 8am to 1pm, after that you can go relax in the pool which is also nice. Also, Dolcemare Resort is the only place where we have found decaf coffee on Bali. The breakfast was also quite good. If I come back to Jili Air I would not consider other options where to stay due to its convenient location.

Great staff, nice common space with a beautiful pool area and cute attached restaurant. Breakfast is good though I wish there were an Asian meal option.

Location is close to sunset beach, what I didn't realize is that it's full of bars hosting parties all the time. There are earplugs but half the nights we were there we could hear the bass blasting which made it difficult to sleep. The room could use a desk or coffee table too, had to put stuff on chairs and the floor since there were not enough surfaces.

I loved my stay at the resort. It's a small boutique place with about five bungalows. The bungalows have a little patio which was nice. What really set it apart was the hospitality of the staff. They asked about my day every single day and directed me to a doctor when I was not feeling well. They also offered to make me aloe Vera juice for my sunburn. I had great chats with them and was looking forward to going 'home' every day. The Italian restaurant in the hotel is also nice. I loved the fresh fruits for breakfast. dolcemare is close to the beach path and there are some great beach bars within 4_5 min walking distance where you can watch the sunset.

Perfect stay in this small boutique hotel with so much love decorated. The details show such an unique taste that we haven’t found in any other hotel in Asia. Everything was so good, well maintained, clean. The staff was just amazing. The breakfast was outstanding with so many options (each one better than the previous one, we could not decide which one was the best), best coffee in the island. We stayed with our two kids (2 year and 10 months) and they just loved the place and the staff, always making us feel like at home. If some day we come back to Gili Air this will be, for sure, our choice.

The access road from the beach to the hotel is full of water each time it rains, maybe it would be the chance to contribute to improve it a little bit.

The owners of this small resort and incredible gem on Gili Air are so friendly and clearly understand what makes a place special. From the moment we arrived we were welcome and cared for like family. The staff are truly exceptional and took such special care of my family and I. Room was comfortable and cool with great lighting and a brilliant bed. Super clean and with small touches that show the generosity and warmth of the family who own it. The food was absolutely delicious and was a highlight of our stay.

We stayed over Christmas and New Years and their was a bit more party action then we anticipated on the island… sometimes the music could be heard from the bars on the beach front but this wouldn’t detour me from booking again as Dolce Mare Resort is truly a one of a kind paradise and a wonderfully relaxing retreat we feel grateful to have had the pleasure to experience.
