Location is the best beachfront area on Gili Air with shady trees, lots of restaurants nearby and no loud music from bars! PJ's resto next door is recommended! ATM next door at Dive centre. Lovely gardens and clean big pool, both well maintained. Comfortable bed, good aircon, kettle and fridge in room. We liked the outdoor bathroom but it does need some maintenance. Lovely staff, always helpful with big smiles. You need to request to have your room cleaned, towels changed etc etc - otherwise they do not enter your room without permission and leave you in peace. We enjoyed our stay very much but the rooms need safety maintenance and upgrades.

When the money is coming back in (the pandemic has hit these people hard) I would like to see the property do some upgrades: 1. New bedding and towels - ours were clean but really very old and worn. 2. New curtains in thicker material - the sun came through from the outdoor bathroom and heated up the room. 3. New kettle - ours didn't switch off automatically - very dangerous and could cause a fire and the plug outlet by the bedside was burnt out - didn't dare plug in the broken bedside light. An entire property on Gili Trawangan burnt down the week before so this is important to address. 4. NEW shower heads - we unscrewed ours it was so useless and showered under the pipe!

This is a really chilled out hotel on a really chilled out island - I would definitely stay there again. The room itself is basic, but comfortable with an open bathroom at the back and a small terrace seating area at the front. The small pool is set in gardens surrounded by the rooms, and the beach is just outside with hotel with loungers available and some of the best sunsets I’ve experienced. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Room isn’t cleaned every day but you can ask for it to be cleaned and for new towels. We stayed for 6 days and could have stayed longer.

Having read an earlier review we chose not to include breakfast. The onsite restaurant appears to have given up and doesn’t serve food later in the day. However there are very good restaurants nearby including the very professionally run PJs just next door. Nowhere is very far away on Gili Air

Location was beautiful, very peaceful. Bungalow rooms were large and clean and the outdoor bathroom was really nice. Great sunset location and easy 20 min walk into town. Accomodation was helpful in booking a snorkelling tour and bikes were available for rent. Pool was clean and water was cool and refreshing. The restaurant next door was excellent, huge variety and service was great, they would bring drinks to you on the beach if you asked.

The property is correctly rated and as such you pay for what you get. I had booked the waterfront bungalow however the air con was not working so I requested a room change. Thankfully there was another room available. In our new room the toilet seat was broken and despite 5 requests from both myself and husband it was never fixed during our stay. Bath towels are probs due for replacement but this is a minor detail. FYI rooms are not serviced on a daily basis.

Lovely setting and gardens,great little bungalow with fab bathroom,very comfortable bed,very clean. Loved the sound of the wildlife and the sea, otherwise great quiet location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Next to several restaurants by the sea which was cool - hired bikes from them which was a great way to get around the island and think in general we lucked out on location and accommodation!

Not really a negative but the restaurant only served breakfast which was limited but plenty of choice elsewhere so not really a problem as such.

We stayed for 2 weeks. The room facilities were modest, but very comfortable. The a/c worked properly, so did the bar fridge, and the shower was hot etc. The room was serviced daily. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the pool was sparkling clean. Being right on the beach, we found the location perfect and definitely have Salili Bungalow on our 'return-to' list!

I read previous reviews which indicated that the breakfasts weren't good - and they weren't when compared with PJ's Restaurant which is right next door at a competitive price, so we had breakfast there.

First of all Gili Air is the best Gili island for people looking for some peace and privacy. Second, Salili Bungalows has two of the nicest guys on the whole island working there. They share the same name and kind heart, both Anto and Anto were smiling eventime we saw them. You can trust them with anything, they were super chill and without a doubt dedicated to make their guests comfortable. Salili Bungalows also has the best bikes of the whole island, they recently got some mountain bikes and you're gonna need that if you're planning to roam around.

We enjoyed our stay there. Staff was really friendly and helpful with everything. The property and location is really nice, the Bungalows themselves are not the newest ones but are comfortable and clean. There is also a nice area to hang out directly on the beach. Snorkeling is really good too, even though the other side of the Island is more popular. But we saw several turtels right there and the corals are nice and pretty intact. As everywhere on the island it is quiet hard to get over the reef at lowtide. Best ask staff for a good place to go in. Swimming is not really possible even when the tide is high as it is on all the island as far as I know. There is a pool, though its water is as warm as the ocean. Restaurants along this Stretch of the beach are really good and the bar next door sells good Cocktails for a nice low price. Check them out for Sunset. Its really nice!

Really great beachfront location. No frills, no fuss beach bungalow. Staff were very helpful, breakfast was simple but nice. Comfortable bed, with a full wraparound mosquito net. Lovely shower. Pool was nicely set back from the beach and shady so it didn't get too hot. Close to everything on the nicest side of the island for sunset. Good value

A/C was quite weak. You had to have it on full cold all day to get the room to a bearable temperature. A ceiling fan would have been a wonderful addition, and more eco-friendly. While the open bathroom is very stylish, there is no shade over the toilet which is a little uncomfortable in the full heat of the sun. Could do with a few more shelves or rails to hang clothes in the room. The bathroom has one towel rail, but it's not under cover so towels will be wet if it rains.

The property is in an amazing location, about 5-10 min cycle to the main port, perfect for exploring everything Gili A has to offer! The rooms were spotless and beautifully maintained, providing a really comfortable space to relax. The WiFi was excellent, which made staying connected super easy. While the food was decent, the overall experience was fantastic, and I’d definitely recommend this place for a great stay in Gili A! Loved it so much that we extended our stay

I stayed a week at Salili bungalow, everything was good. My room was very basic, but everything worked well, the air conditioning, the fridge and the save. The room is missing a mirror!! Breakfast was very good, plentiful and served on the beach. The manager was a very friendly young gentleman who helped with everything we asked him. I will come back to Salili, I loved it. It's a little paradise
